They have a nice selection, and the soda fridge downstairs is a good thing to have. At least for me. Little overpriced on their supplies and sometimes the service can seem a little rude. Just be patient they are just people and they can have a bad day too.

Kind of surprised....I live an hour away, but have a big paint project coming up, possibly 20 gallons or more. My painter was interested in purchasing paint from Ace, so I called to get details and pricing. The person that answered the phone was friendly, but didn't have all the answers, so kindly transfered to someone else. This person seemed knowledgeable and was talking, before he was even done, or I got to ask pricing questions, he told me he was busy, getting a line, and hung up. I wasn't ask to hold, just hung up. Certainly not an huge order, by any means, but I can only assume my $1000 paint order didn't matter to him, so I will definitely go somewhere else. I believe my painter, which paints every day, will be looking past Ace from now on as well.

I absolutely LOVE the family atmosphere, and if they don't have it they will do what they can to get it!!!

I really enjoy their plants and garden supplies in the springtime. They also have a nice selection of BBQ supplies and cast iron cookware. They are also super friendly here and pleasant to deal with. Much better experience than going to Heidricks, which is staffed full of rude people and exorbitant markups.

They always have what I'm looking for here and if I can't find it the staff is very friendly and helpful.

Store has friendly staff and tons of products including many neat odds and ins. The section for outdoor cooking was well organized and fully stocked with both local made products and those known around the nation.

Grow light on shelf 2ft long listed at 44$. Went to pay they wanted 110$ for it. Went and showed them were it was priced wrong so they could honor the list price on shelf. Wouldn’t honor their mess up and they were jerks about it. Plus the highest grow light on shelf was a 4ft light for only 80$. No were was there a tag for 110$. Lost my business and i work for a big company that does business at ace as well. So i will be taking that business else we’re also.

The staff was very friendly and helpful and made me feel good to help me. They have a good variety of product as well. I do recommend!

Pretty awesome to have a mom and pop hardware store two blocks from where I work and they're building a bbq section.

If I need a tool or some paint, they offer pretty much hv what you need but if not.. they will find away to perdue what I need asap.

I'm not sure what to think of this store. I am fairly new to the town and have been in once or twice but never really looked around till I had time to today. I just wanted to browse and see how their prices compared. I was in there for maybe 15 minutes topped and was asked every two minutes or so if I need something. Sometimes by the same employees. Then they would stand an aisle over and wait. I was very uncomfortable and just left. As I left one employee stood in the aisle in front of the door and watched me back out and leave. Just really weird. Maybe if you have lived here your whole life and they know you it's fine but not a great way to attract new business when you act like that. I probably won't be back.

*Update*
After the owners reply, I definitely won't be back if I can't browse. I never have this problem at Heidricks, so it's not a "big box store" problem. It's one thing to be helpful, it's another to basically harrass a customer. Maybe you should put a sign on the door "No browsing, only come in if you know what you want"

This is a great, modern, old fashion Hardware Store! If they don't have it the Big Box Stores won't have it either!
