Machango Construction, Inc

I think I've used this guy for 10 years now. I go to Bloomington, buy a house, then turn it over to Machango Construction. Machango fixes the house at a reasonable price. I couldn't be happier.
You cannot go wrong with Mike Machango...

Obviously, the previous negative reviews are left by someone with a personal grudge against this company. Machango Construction has been nothing but true professionals when working on projects on my home. They have remodeled two bathrooms, tiled my kitchen, and added a 1,000 square foot addition including a new garage, bonus room and laundry room. Their work is impeccable and Mike and his team have excellent work ethic. I have never seen the owner mistreat or disrespect any of his employees. I would recommend Machango Construction to anyone that is looking for a reliable, trustworthy, talented contractor.

I was surprised to see anything negative about this construction company and then realized the "reviews" posted are clearly not focused on the business or the work they perform. In my experience, homeowners are anxious to find a good contractor so I will share my experiences with Machango Construction. Whenever my husband feels a job is "too big" for him to handle, or will involve something beyond his know-how, we call Machango Inc. We have had two complete bathroom remodels, one where the room was completely gutted. We had a sinkhole open up on our front lawn -- talk about stressful! -- and they took care of that. We had the deck treated and re-stained. We have had a new water heater installed, a new kitchen sink and faucet put in. We had gutter guards installed as in the back the gutters are three stories up. Recently we had a new patio door installed in our living room, looking out to the deck. Each of these jobs was performed professionally and we have never had a problem with anything this company installed or remodeled. In fact I joke that the master bathroom they re-did is the nicest room in our house. The employees that come to the house are clean, sober, polite and knowledgeable and the work gets done properly. I don't feel like I have to hover over or "babysit" them. This company will provide proof of insurance upon request, and I feel very strongly about that. If someone gets hurt on my property working on a roof, I need to know I am protected against lawsuit. Too many companies don't follow those guidelines and this matters to me. When something in your home needs to be repaired or remodeled, you want to know it is going to be handled properly and safely. For over 15 years now our family has relied on this contractor and we have never been disappointed.
