If I could give them more stars, I would! We hit it off with Fred and Jodie from the very beginning. They were professional, responsive and attentive throughout the entire process. Ryan was wonderful as well! Super nice guy and easy to work with. I had sent Ryan a few pictures of a home I found online that I wanted replicated in our build. One being the brick backsplash in the kitchen with open shelves, and the other was the staircase with wood posts and rebar spindles. They replicated those photos flawlessly and made them come to life in our home. I can’t tell you how impressed I was! Towards the end of the build, I was feeling a bit overwhelmed when deciding on light fixtures. I reached out to Jodie for suggestions and she sent me links for fixtures based on the style we were going for. It took such a load off my shoulders and I was so thankful for her professional opinion. I love that they allowed us to be the creative expert for our own home but were there to give suggestions when needed. Mac gave us our dream home. Their quality and attention to detail is incredible! I 100000% recommend using Mac.

*** Update to REVIEW: This company sends a cease and desist letter from their attorney to dissatisfied customers trying to share an honest review of their work, this is most likely why there are minimal reviews to be found for this company that state they have been in the business for 26 years. I have spoken with 3 other customers of theirs who have had very similar experiences to mine ***. We really want to be happy with the custom home Mac built for us, however the building process was stressful - poor communication, defensive when questions were asked, evaded taking responsibility for problems and refused to address serious concerns once full payment was received. A home is a huge investment and Fred says all of the right things in the beginning to encourage trust. I fully believe they are capable of building a quality home, but the way they checked out, made excuses and devalued us as customers during and after our build was incredibly disappointing. I HIGHLY recommend using an independent inspector throughout the building process should you build with MAC. MAC’s quality control and onsite supervision was lacking. Fred will speak to the quality of work being done without stepping foot onsite, leaving homeowners to communicate with subcontractors, which is incredibly confusing and time consuming for all involved. We have experienced many things not built to code and/or poor quality including: plumbing water pressure left at 130 psi causing leaks and fixture failures, drywall not to fire safety code, appliances not connected correctly causing propane issues, poor quality paint and trim jobs including only one coat of exterior paint when contracted to provide two, refusal to do all drywall and paint touch ups, “custom” cabinets with over 20 inches of fillers used and then not sanded, caulked, trimmed or painted smoothly, black door hinges and window trim covered in white paint, mold growing on 1/2 bathroom ceiling due to lack of drywall and insulation, just to name some of the problems we have had to address. We have now been in our home for almost 16 months - giving this company plenty of time to address our concerns. We have jumped through every hoop they require - submitting work requests through a third party including pdf documents and pictures of each item - only to have them shut down our access to the site without completing the work and telling us “now is the time for you to become homeowners.” We have spent thousands of dollars out of pocket since the completion of the build to bring things up to code for our safety and to ensure manufacturers’ warranties will be valid. Sadly this doesn’t even address all of the problems we have experienced with MAC, but I hope it serves as a warning to potential future customers.

Fred, Jodie and Ryan are great to work with. The crew at MAC built our home in 2019, did my lobby buildout at my commercial building Feb of 2022 and when we sustained wind damage to our main structure in May of 2022 the MAC team was on scene in approximately an hour to sure up, board up and get things rolling for the repairs that needed to be made.

There are a lot of construction companies out there that provide false promises and subpar work. You won’t find that with MAC Property Group.
