I gave this a 2 star review. The reason is below. I gave it a 5 star review because those are the only ones that they appear to read. Please go with the 2 star review or less, this place has gone down hill.

You can never reach them by phone to ask questions. Because it always goes to an automated that says they are helping other customers. Please call back later and their prices are very high, not a very good store anymore.

Used to be a great local place to shop, now that Aubuchon owns it they will not answer the phones, prices for goods that are damaged or missing pieces are WAY too high, and the corporate slogan is we fleece you because of inflation. Why wouldn’t the store manager address the criticism instead of some corporate email address they reply with to negative reviews that probably goes to nowhere just like the answering service. Redirects you back to the business location?? Why?

First purchase online here - we usually cruise the store in person. Got added discounts and was notified via text when my order was ready! Easy to pickup my order so I'm a happy customer. Will order again online! Thanks!

Went to bring back some stuff to the store and still have the receipt and and bc the tool books did not have the tags on them still they would not return them it waz a young manger he way ignorant and acting like he waz above everyone what is the point of keeping the receipts when u cant evan us them to return the thing u bye worst service, and attitude and waste of time i have ever gotten from a hardware store

Very nice people! Helpful and knowledgeable. So much nicer than the big hardware stores where I can never find what I need and usually can't find anyone to help me. I also appreciate the fact that they take UPS packages. Highly recommend.

You had everything I was looking for - at reasonable prices - and AWESOME wait staff... AND were even open on New Years Day!!

Easy to find what you are looking for. Staff is always helpful. They do a great job color matching or mixing and advising on paint. They have just about anything you might need.

The store is always clean and tidy. Prices are a bit higher than other similar stores and they often don't carry what we need.

There's a difference between charging a bit more for convenience and charging as much as double or more. This is why it's hard to support local and not go to the big box stores, because of stores like this. I don't care how bad I need it, I won't be shopping here anymore.

Has pretty much everything you need, albeit a bit pricey. Staff is friendly and knowledgable. If you are just doing a small project and don't feel like driving to one of the big box stores, this is the place to go.

I always find what I need at Lyndonville hardware which saves me a long drive to the big box stores.

I bought a dead-bolt lock and installed it. Bill cut four keys that would not go in the key slot. Went back to the store and a gentleman (gray hair/glasses) cut a new one that went in but wouldn't turn. Went back again and Bill cut another one that went in 1/4" . Back again, LOL, and Bill took the same lock of the shelf and made a key and it went in and turned. He gave me the cylinder from it. I went home and exchanged it. He was baffled and figured the first one was was defective. Both gentlemen were extremely helpful!!!!

A local hardware store with a lot of choices. May not have exactly what you want, but will have what you need. Very friendly staff.

I worked customer service for years and had to deal with unhappy people a lot. This is not the way to handle it:
The first employee was great, answering questions and showing me what I needed.
I was purchasing peg board. I said I was nervous that it wouldn't fit in my car, he replied that the lumber guys could cut it if I needed them to.
It wouldn't fit in my car, and come to find out they couldn't cut it.
I went to return in and even though I was not swearing or yelling, the first cashier couldn't handle the return , because I was "taking it out on her"
The next employee went to complete my return and said he could put the money back on my card, and then handed me cash. I was then asked if I "woke up in a bad mood" And I said that, no I just don't like being told one thing and having it be a lie.
Headed to an annoying box store next time

Best hardware store around but please stop contacting me. I hate doing reviews. Why does everybody want to review? Every time you buy something somebody wants to review. That’s just nonsense. I wouldn’t shop at your place if I didn’t like your store.

Decent selection of products for a small town hardware store and prices are good. The staff is friendly and helpful.
