Adam Streu - great first contact and follow-up customer service; Adam Terry was professional on the first job 1 1/2 years ago with gutter drainage issue; I called yesterday to have my pop-up spout either removed or buried, and he came back out less than 24 hrs later to resolve my concerns - on time, and expertly done. I will be a forever customer to this extraordinarily professional company.

I can’t recommend Adam and his team highly enough. We had about a foot of water in our mobile home crawlspace, and at least 3 different companies came out saying we should get a sump pump or French drain. Adam was our last hope. He came out intending to solve the problem, not just band-aid it. As it turns out, we had two drainage pipes that the lawn had grown over. We have just bought this home, and had no idea they were there. Adam’s recommendation that he check and clear all the pipes first was perfect, and I’m happy to say our crawl space is dry! Make Kitsap Drainge and Waterproofing your first call…..they’re really that great!

We live at the bottom of a hill on Bainbridge, and twice have had questions about drainage issues. Adam came out both times, assessed the problems and gave us his recommendation. The first time he told us that what he recommended we do could be done more cheaply by a landscaper than by his company, and the second time told us his recommendation would be to not sink money into it unless it became a bigger issue. Very honest - highly recommend.

Called on Monday morning and they squeezed me in later that afternoon after another job. Did a fantastic job keeping me updated on their estimated arrival time so I did not have to waste vacation time. Adam was super professional and got my underground gutter drain unclogged and roots cleared. Would have taken me week to dig out and they got the clog out in no time. UPDATE on this poor service…this company voided my furnace warranty by using a different company to re-connect the air handler. It had been installed on top of a cement pad just a year ago. It was re-installed directly on the ground and exposed to mud. They initially used the install company to disconnect the air handler but not to re-connect it.
ALSO, as I looked to update my review, I discovered they buried it so that it looks like they are all 5 stars. NOT SO! This update was discovered when the original furnace installers came to do maintenance. Photos added.

It was the google reviews that helped me choose this business and, unfortunately, I do no have the 5-star review I'd hoped to share. I hired them related to water seepage into a lower level room during severe storms. I expected them to find the problem, replace the seal if needed and return my home to function. First, fencing was removed and not replaced properly. When I reached out to one of the owners, he told me to reach out to the other owner. I appreciated the other owner replacing the posts and some of the fencing so that I could close my gate again but soon discovered that some of the back fencing that had been taken down was flimsy and not secured at the bottom. By that time, I had discovered that they did not intend to return my front door entrance to function. My entrance is 24-36 inches above ground. They had to remove the small concrete area in order to get to that part of the foundation. They had put a note in the contract that they would work with me on restoring the front entrance and I believed that note referred to my expressed willingness to consider replacing it with something other than concrete. I paid them more than the required deposit (10K) and the balance of the original estimate (9K) leaving 1900 to be paid once the front entrance plan was sorted. It took them over 2 weeks to get a concrete estimate to me and 2 weeks later they claimed they couldn't get anyone else to respond to give an estimate. Fortunately, I'd also been working on it and am finalizing 2 estimates this week. I'm not asking them to re-seed grass here. They back-filled the dirt and at least attempted to replace the fencing and posts. Neither of those are in the contract. It also doesn't expressly note in the contract that they guarantee their work. Should I be worried? They seemed like positive, and honest people. That may be still but they need to take a closer look at their business practices when it's related to returning homes to basic function and being clear in their contract on what they will and won't do. It is reasonable for a client to expect a home will be returned to function. I would not have gone with them had I known that they did not intend to restore my front entrance to function as part of the contract. I would also recommend to them that they take pictures before, during and after their work. I found out that they had hired other people in and were not aware the fencing had been left that way. Photos are always great for client communication but in this case, it would've also helped them collaborate better with the other workers they hired in. I hope this review helps especially if you choose to go with this company. Upbeat helps get you in the door but a thorough job and a willingness to act as a team, learn and accept responsibility when there are reasonable concerns takes another level of professionalism that I did not get to experience. I think these guys have alot of potential so I hope taking the time to write this will encourage them to improve. I'd give them 2 stars but making it 3 because they were mindful and good to the resident dog. If there is any water seepage in the lower level in the near future, I will be sure to update them to a 1-star.

My spouse and I were in an emergency mode when our underground drain pipe was damaged by an excavator working on our landscape project. The size pipe we needed could not be found in less than 100’ lengths when we needed only two feet. Kitsap Drainage owner, Adam, responded to our phone call with an immediate solution that enable us to repair the drain pipe so as to complete our project. Extremely impressed with Kitsap Drainage and Waterproofing!

Unfortunately for us, we had to rebuild and replace most of our underground drainage system. We interviewed and received bids from several contractors and chose Kitsap Drainage and Waterproofing. They were professional, timely, congenial, honest, and respectful to us and of our property. Further, they did a great job and did exactly what they said was needed and what they promised to do. I highly recommend their services.

I was fielding some quotes for some minor water intrusion in my basement. A previous interior water drainage system had been installed before we moved in and seemed to be having issues. Small condensation like water would seep up through the bottom of the concrete slab. I had no issues through the walls of my basement.

I requested quotes through Matvey, Perma Dry and Kitsap Drainage. I can't speak to Matvey as I never got a chance to see them, no fault to them.

Perma Dry's quote was reasonable but yearly cost for sump pump maintenance to maintain a warranty was unreasonable and their communication was garbage.

Perma Dry was slightly cheaper but within a thousand dollars of Kitsap Drainage. However Perma Dry would have easily surpassed that with their yearly cost of maintenance. Also, I will ALWAYS pay a little more for honest, on time contractors, and Kitsap was also within what I would expect to pay or this type of work.

It was refreshing talking to Adam from Kitsap Drainage. He responded very quickly, came to my house within days of first contact during his busy schedule.

Adam arrived EARLY (yes early, no contractors ever arrive early) was very communicative, and gave me honest answers. He explained that I should try a sump pump replacement first and explained the process to replace it myself so I wouldn't have to hire out.

Adam also gave me some tips and pointers for future building, and drainage I found to be very helpful. Adam was easy to talk to and had zero salesman condescending vibes.

Adam, I hope the we don't have to hire you in the future, but if we we do you will be my first call and my first referral based on your professionalism!

The high quality of the work and integrity was beyond expectation. The billiards room (converted from a downstairs garage) as well as the adjacent laundry area, were all handled with care, all furniture, shelving, washer/dryer etc that were movable were moved by John and subsequently by John and Brent. All was covered with heavy plastic, the work was done cleanly without harm to any of the items, including the billiards table. All debris was hauled away, all was left clean, amazing considering the scope of work. Adam was consistently in communication throughout the process, checking on the work and progress, addressing all of my questions and concerns. I would highly recommend Adam and his team! Exceptional company with high standards and integrity at a fair and honest price.

I have had thousands (approx 6-17k gallons) of water off and on in my crawl space when ever it rains. I have had 4 other compaines come out to scope pipes and help divert water. Kitsap drainage spent the time and used thier expertise to find the cause where everyone has failed to do so (crushed pipe under the driveway). When they showed up theey are there to work and get the job done. They hustle! Thier approach from the least invasive and most cost affective to "this is going to be a big job" is the right approach to earn my business back.

I had a clogged downspout drain. Adam and his assistant energetically and thoroughly located the clog with their state of the art probing equipment and cleared it using their aquajet machine. At the same time they showed me where all my drains went and how they were connected and left me with a thumb drive documenting their activities. A very successful project well executed. I contacted several businesses to get a curtain drain put in. Adam was the only one that responded and that was to let me know he was out of town but would contact me once he was back. He came over and we discussed what needed to be done. He sent his bid over a couple of days later. He keep in me up to date with the process at all times. He and his crew were even put up with our teenage grandson coming out after school and asking all of sorts of questions. Once the job was completed we realized we had not included the electrical for the sump pump. He said he would dig the trench and fill it back in if we got a electrician. True to his word he took care of it and it really helped us out. I can say after the very wet weekend we have had it is working great! Thank you.

Great work. The Kitsap Drainage and Waterproofing team is reliable, on-time, hard working, honest, problem solvers, good communicators and technically competent. Adam and his crew completely replaced a ineffective drainage system and waterproofed a basement wall, at a existing house with narrow side yards. All work was accomplished neatly and timely, with no disruption to the neighbors and little inconvenience to us. They exceeded our expectations.

Adam bid on work I thought the house needed, then encouraged me to get another bid. I'd never had a contractor do that before and I was impressed with his integrity. I ended up hiring Adam, who proposed a different and smaller scope of work than I had thought was needed. (I am a lawyer, not a drainage specialist, and should probably have asked his opinion in the first place). Adam is honest, his prices are fair, and he did a great job. I will absolutely hire Kitsap Drainage and Waterproofing for any and all future work and highly recommend them.

We had severe flooding in what had been a finished basement during the previous winter. It was a very stressful experience. We contacted Adam. He came and did a thorough assessment which included listening to our observations about the nature of the flooding and performing a scope of the existing drainage system. He provided options that differed in scope and price to address the problem. We chose having him dig to the foot of our foundation, waterproof the foundation, and install a drainage system.

Adam was great. He was friendly, professional, informative, and communicative. We had obtained other opinions about the cause of and solutions to this problem, and his was the only one we completely trusted. It seemed the most informed and sensible. He clearly knows what he is doing.

Our house presented a number of challenges (e.g., limited parking, difficult access for equipment) which Adam found solutions for. Adam and his team did the work efficiently, on schedule, and with a minimum of disruption. Adam was great at calming our anxieties, explaining the process, and keeping us informed of the progress. He also communicated well and often with the neighbor who were affected by the work. The team left the job cleaned up and the affected parts of the yard looking better than they did before the project.

Along with the rest of Kitsap County this winter, we had some drainage issues due to our old cracking/sinking front walkway. Water was flowing toward the house, pooling at the foundation, causing leaking into our basement. Adam was able to come out to take a look right away and gave us a thorough estimate. Between the estimate and starting the work, we appreciated the consistent communication and updates (something that is so rare with contractors, unfortunately). When the work began, Adam and his crew showed up right on time. They demolished the walkway and front stairs, filled in the area with gravel, and poured a new walkway that flows away from the house. We're extremely pleased with the work that was done as well as the whole experience of working with this company. We would hire Adam and crew again in a heartbeat and would gladly recommend them to anyone who needs their services.

They were able to quickly come out and provide an estimate and then schedule our work within weeks. The bid was competitive and fair, their solution for our situation was appropriate (an interior tile drain connected to sump basin), and the work was completed on-schedule and was of high quality. Adam is that rare professional who has significant expertise AND the ability to explain complex problems and solutions clearly, both in writing and in lay language. His estimate was complete and thorough, just like the hands or work he did. He supervised his crew really well, and kept us informed every step of the way. We had a very long standing drainage issue that we inherited from the previous owner, only a fraction of which was disclosed. Adam got to the (literal) bottom of the problem and we could not be happier. AND he did all this in the midst of record setting rain, which returned right after he left, testing his solution to the max. All the drain systems are working beautifully and we are beyond grateful. Adam Streu, owner of Kitsap Drainage and Waterproofing, installed a drain and drainage system to prevent rainwater pooling at my home. The work was professionally and successfully completed at a fair and reasonable price. Installing the drain required cutting through concrete for the drain itself and a further 15 feet of concrete for the pipework. In addition 30 feet of grass was channeled for the pipe culminating in a neat round hole through a concrete retaining wall.
I appreciated having the project explained to me in detail. I also appreciated the careful cleanup after each of the three days work as well as the replacement of the grass sod. The pooling issue was resolved to my satisfaction.
Adam is meticulous, competent and professional. I have no hesitation in recommending him to others.
