Kaminskiy Care and Repair Handyman Services - Beverly Hills, CA

I changed a (previous) three star rating to five stars because Kaminsky Care listened to my complaint after the initial work and sent Michael to assess the problem. He quickly came up with a solution to the problem (anchor bolts were not tightening properly causing handrails to come loose) and fixed one of the three handrails on the spot. He returned two weeks later and repaired the other two in the same fashion. He has terrific instincts and muck experience with a wide variety of household construction tasks. He's also pleasant and easy to work with. We will very likely ask for him for future projects.

I was very impressed by the handyman who came to my home to survey the damage to my fence. His solution for repair was logical and efficient. He didn't get pushy and try to upscale the project. He understood my needs and explained everything very clearly.

They gave me estimates but won't return any calls, emails or texts when I asked if their person was licensed. Also why do they add a 15% charge to any material they pick up & I have to pay their hourly labor to do so, but they won't tell me what I can buy up front. Looked them up in BBB and they get a D+ rating - go figure.

Complete disaster with this company. I called because of the great reviews I saw. A lock on my back door broke. The guy came and took it apart (super nice guy btw) and put it back together but when he left the door was locked shut. I called, no response. I called and was connected to service, no response. I called the following week and they said it was escalated to operational management, left a message and there’s no response. I’m going into the second month I’ve called and left messages, I’ve been given wrong call back numbers. I explained to them that it was a safety issue. We cannot get out the only door on the back of the house. They’re very kind on the phone and I’ve tried to be really understanding, but I just don’t know what to do with this company.

Overall very satisfied . I appreciated being able to convey what I wanted installed by sending images to the service person ahead the time they would be on the job site. I believe this helped reduce cost and time for the job . I saved about a $100. The service person , Michael , came only with the expectation to complete the job that I specific wanted done and not to recommend more work than I wanted . I hope and expect future jobs to go just as smoothly this one .

Brian Phillip did an excellent job. Explained everything and completed all tasks for removal of shutters. I will request his return to reinstall shutters.

Michael from Kaminsky installed our outdoor awning very professionally and efficiently. He really inspired my confidence with his smarts and "can do" expertise. I have worked with quite a few handymen and contractors over the 30+ years we have owned our home, and he is certainly one of the best and personally, a real pleasure to work with. He is the first guy I will request for all future jobs! Sarah the scheduler was also quite helpful.

Michael is absolutely amazing. He's very detailed oriented and very efficient. He gets the work done. We lost the TV wall mount unit while moving, and he volunteered to go and get the wall mount for us. He went the extra mile to make sure we were satisfied. Top notch service. And he genuinely cares. Highly recommend!

James Dunn III came to my house to repair a fence, window, and replace a lock - his work was incredible - very high quality! And he arrived on time, finished on time... and was also a lovely person to work with! Thank you James and Kaminskiy Care and Repair!

James did a good job and finished the job in good time. The only reservation I have is the cost of the services provided. They stand behind their work and they are insured which is important to me but the overall cost of the services provided will restrict me to using them for only more complex tasks rather than the simple tasks they did for me.

Had some communication confusion with the front office but James was really fantastic and went truly above and beyond to problem solve and get the job done anyway. I recommend him so highly!

Michael P. did a fantastic job on my broke door! I was worried I’m gonna have to replace the whole door, but he somehow just fixed it and good as new! Super nice and professional about the whole thing too, definitely recommend!

Michael Plunkett showed up, knew what to do when multiple handymen hadn't a clue; Michael fixed my garden gate and its frame so the gate opens and closes perfectly now! I've also already referred him to my neighbor who needs work done. I am looking forward to working with Michael and Kaminskiy again!

Their service technicians are first rate. Michael P. who did the patch and paint work from water damage, went above and beyond. He was fast, clean, conscientious and skilled,

Michael was great. He is more than just a fix-it person. He thinks outside the box and comes up with a good solution. I would definitely use him again.

Carlos was very knowledgeable and very friendly. He took time to explain everything to us. He was able to fix our problem and give us advice on how to prevent it from happening again. We would recommend Carlos very highly to anyone.

Tony was on time and very professional, he assessed the job quickly and went right to work. He finished the job quickly and showed to me the pictures of his work, Tony has a Great work ethic and has a Great personality, I will definitely refer my friends and family to this company and to Great Employees like Tony.

1st - I really like the way they communicate about the appointment. Email and text which is what I like to use! 2nd - the repair man fixed my problem really quickly and in a innovative way. I like these guys!

Michael was an absolute lifesaver! He was prompt, reliable, and communicated clearly about the work. The price was very reasonable, and I received excellent value for the quality and amount of work he provided.

The man who came out to survey my problem (a big one) was focused, & went about sizing up everything, took pictures, & discussed the complexity ahead (a neighbor needs to ok access to his yard, rotten support beams, weak, 100 year old plaster).
This was someone who knows his craft; even fixed something while he was here. I no longer dread the project; I’m in good hands. Thanks.

Oscar was great to work with and did an excellent job repairing a casement window. Oscar communicated pro-actively prior to his arrival so he could procure the correct replacement part. Once on the job, he diagnosed and explained the problem and the repair, which he completed efficiently and with minimal disruption. I would use Kaminsky again.

Guys working here are awesome. They are fast and do great work. I’m having them do all my work now!

A nightmare!!! Price gouging!

Scheduling is a joke.

The agreement was for the work to be completed in a timely manner, it was not. If you want your work completed on schedule, go elsewhere.

Drywall repair was incomplete, an area was left open (see picture) and had to be boarded up with plywood.

Oscar is an excellent craftsman. He did a great job in aligning
the fire doors and installing the closure mechanism with quiet
closure.

I am very satisfied with Tony’s work. He had a good grasp of my specific needs and solution to the problem. Explained everything so clearly and our discussion was most fruitful. Technician was early and went straight to the problem. Fixed our commercial swinging door, and gave us options for future!

Oscar was the best. He was professional and kept me informed of a rather big job. I will definitely use them again for drywall repair but only if I can have Oscar!

We had the shelves in our walk-in closet collapse, and we struggled to find anyone who would do the repair before Thanksgiving. Kaminskiy Care & Repair was very responsive, and their technician, Christian, got the job completed in one day. He was very pleasant, efficient and easy to work with. My lighting problem was a mystery. It took two electricians several hours on separate days to figure out the problem and find the solution. Now I have lights that work and I'm very pleased.

Henry did a GREAT job. I was prepared to replace all the subflooling but he convinced me that he could eliminate all the squeeks without having to go that far. He proceeded to screw in a few hundred screws into the existing plywood. All the squeeks were gone. Saved me $$$. Would use Kaminsky AND Henry in a minute. THANKS

Ryan did a wonderful job installing our door. He was professional, knowledgeable, and meticulous. He was very patient with all of my questions and gave me a lot of good advice on possible future projects that I asked him about.

The technician came on time. Took notes and pictures of the job to be done. Now, I'm waiting for the estimates.

We have a Marvin motorized awning window that failed to open or close. Marvin does not have repair person. No one in San Diego area could come and repair it. Kaminskiy sent Tony to our house and he fixed it within 2 hrs, not needing a motor and the cost was 20% of original estimate. Great job.

Henry fixed some nagging problems with our doors quickly and efficiently. He will definitely be our go to person for future work. Lastly, he is a very nice guy!!

Edgar is awesome! He replaced a ceiling light over our very precarious stairway landing. Right on time, super kind, and did a perfect job - including cleaning off the inevitable installation fingerprints left on our new beautiful fixture.

Company is fantastic too. Scheduling was easy, and both people I spoke with were very friendly and knew their stuff. My new go-to.

Christian Wolz was my technician, extremely professional and a master craftsman. Once the damage was repaired, it looked better than the original (not joking). Highly recommend, would gladly contact again for any future needs.

I couldn't be happier! I wanted a new screen door for my front door, a peep hole installed, and the strike plate side of the lock.

Chris showed up on time, explained everything he was going to do to me, then set about getting all of it done.

It's beautiful, and all the additions make me feel safer and happier at home.
