Kahakai Construction does great work and in a very timely manner. It’s hard to find a company that does quality work and finishes before the due date. Andy is a business professional of his word and takes care of his clients. I would highly recommend this company.

We recently had the flooring in our entire house replaced. Sebastian, Andrew, and Anthony removed our old carpet and linoleum and installed luxury vinyl plank flooring on both levels and the stairs. It looks like a brand new house! We were impressed with their professionalism and attention to detail. They were reliable, responsible, easy to work with, and we appreciated their quick response to any and all questions we had. We are very pleased with their quality work and will continue to rely on them with confidence for all our future projects.

Mahalo Kahakai Construction for all your hard work! We experienced of a home flood and after mitigation we needed a full home reconstruction including Drywall, Taping, Mudding, Texturing, Painting, Electrical, Plumbing and Flooring. Additionally, there were plenty of small home improvements that were needed during the process. Displacement from your home is disconcerting and time of repair was important to us. The Team at Kahakai Construction came to our rescue and provided reconstruction with old-school work ethics and attention to detail. Communication and explanation along the way was exactly what we needed to make sure our expectations were met. The team in a two-week period did what would take most other recon teams 3-4 weeks. I was a little concerned with the one stop shopping for all that needed to be done at our home, but the expertise and years of experience in every aspect of our reconstruction was met and exceeded. Not only did they put things back to the way they were, but improved and spotted ways to make things safer and more functional. Had a great time seeing the team knock out our recon and I learned a few new things along the way. They even worked with us to get best coverage for our insurance claim. Kahakai came highly recommended by our Property Manager and they did not disappoint!! We had a relatively small repair project that included tiling and cabinets. But they treated it like any project of large size. They were highly responsive, punctual, and informative. Sebastian and Andy were always there when I needed to communicate with them and responded immediately whenever I sent a text, 7 days a week. You don’t normally get that with contractors in my experience. You could really tell it was a family business. They have an excellent source of sub-trades and the work they did on our unit was excellent and completed within a very tight timeframe. Furthermore, they had to work within the confines of a very strict strata complex and deal with the AOAO to get the right permits, insurance, etc. to proceed. They handled it with breeze. I would not hesitate to recommend the father and son team of Kahakai Construction.

Kahakai Construction was recommended by our insurance adjuster and although we had another company in mind, we entertained their review and bid. Comparing the first company we were considering with Kahakai was a night and day difference! I was so impressed with their understanding of our situation and their willingness to work with us in such a cooperative manner that our decision was easy. They started the restoration on a Wednesday and told us they would be finished the following Wednesday. The drywall drying process took 3 full days but Kahakai came by Friday, Saturday and Sunday to check on the process. Every day they left the job site in immaculate condition, which says a lot about their work ethic. Much to our surprise, they finished 1 day early and we were THRILLED with the results.
Not only do I highly recommend Kahakai Construction for any insurance work, I will definitely use them for any project that comes up that demands the very best in professional workmanship!

I am not typically a reviewer but I do read reviews when making valuable decisions. That is why I decided to do a review on Kahakai Construction in case there is anyone else needing exceptional service and quality work.. My family and I were away for a bit and our house flooded. I braced myself for needing to find a company that would put our home back together. Kahakai literally came to the rescue. The transformation of our home is breathtaking. Each one of them are trustworthy and hard working individuals. The attention to detail, cleanliness while working and positive, caring attitude really touched our hearts. Words cannot express my family and I’s gratitude for the crew of Kahakai. They are amazing people that we now consider family. On top of the excellent customer service, we were so impressed with how fast they were able to fix and replace everything and yet, with such attention to detail. Our home was damaged by fire that happened 2 days before Christmas. Our interior and the exterior of our home was damaged. Choosing a contractor was difficult. We did not know anything about contractors. Kahakai Construction was recommended to us. Best decision we made. We truly appreciated their kindness and commitment to helping us. Our condo home suffered interior damages caused by Lahaina Wildfires in August 2023.
Sebastian and his company came highly recommended by a neighbor within the same complex.
From inspecting the damages to recommendations on repairs that needed to be done, Sebastian was most knowledgeable and worked within the budget we provided.
He was professional and compassionate, empathizing with our situation and ensuring critical repairs were done to allow us to move back to our home.
He communicated effectively and provided us updates.
His team included Andrew who was able to fix the kitchen area that major companies such as Lowe’s were unable to do.

I worked with Kahakai Construction on multiple projects. Our first was a mold issue that had to be addressed including removing parts of the wall, total clean out, wall reconstruction, painting, etc. They were so good to work with that we chose to hire them again for a remodel. They laid out a reasonable plan and budget, kept in close communication throughout, and stayed within the plan. We appreciate working with Andy and his team, and recommend them to others.

I had the blessing to work with this company following an insurance claim (pictures taken before countertops and flooring install which were completed by different contractors) and I could not be happier with their skills, service, and professionalism. In all aspects, everyone I met went above and beyond to be helpful and that made the whole insurance claim experience survivable as it took 6 months from the date of loss to completion. We are very pleased with the recently completed repair work done on our porte cochere and supporting column which involved fixing a crack in the ceiling, framing, cement work, stucco, and painting.  The crew did an excellent job making sure things were structurally sound and that everything matched perfectly (materials, texture, paint color, etc).  Sebastian, Caleb, Andrew, and Adam were professional, knowledgeable, punctual, hard working, respectful, and considerate. They were easy to work with and were careful about setting up and cleaning up the work area. Sebastian always stayed in touch and kept us informed at every stage of the project.  For us, that was a big plus - to know what was going on, what to expect and when.  It was a pleasure working with them.

We had flooding in our cottage. Kahakai Construction did repair and restored cottage to brand new. Kahakai Construction is very professional, does excellent quality work, painted walls, installed new flooring ,sanitize, cleaned, sealed shower and tile floors in bathroom and kitchen. Completed in less than a week. Highly recommended.

I couldn't have ask for a better contracting company Kahakai Construction (Andy & Sebastian) & crew workers (Andrew, Casey, Adam) to turn my frown upside down, they renovated my studio completely, from tearing out & replacing my 20 year old carpet, wood flooring, ceiling, dry wall, bathroom, kitchen & complete & paint. All this work within 3 days, these guys not only worked fast, they made sure everything was perfect, there was no doubt about them, trust came naturally like good friends & family, even my dogs Peaches & Roxy barked like crazy while they worked, but they miss the guys! now that the work is done they stare out the driveway looking for their work van "the green machine" hoping they'd come back. I definitely got more home improvements in the near future for my home and I'll definitely reach out to them. If you need someone fast, trustworthy, great quality, friendliest crew give them call, you won't be disappointed! Trust me.
