Josh was on time and knew his trade. They were hired to just do a tear off of old 3 tab roofing that was on the sides of my house. Worked me up a quote and told me of some things that may arise during the removal. I was out of town while the work was being done. When issues came up he sent me pictures and the adjustment to the final bill. His crew arrived on time and didn't leave a trace of material lying around. I was very pleased when I got home with the work they had done.

We needed a minor repair done, but on a challenging (steep) roof. They were very quick to get it done and their price was reasonable. Also gave a thorough explanation of the problem. We will consider using them going forward for all our Roofing needs. Thank you Josh!

Josh was excellent with explaining the issues with my leaky skylights and proving an economical temporary fix until I can have new skylights installed. His knowledge of flat membrane roofs is very appreciated. He took a look the parts of my roof that are composite shingles and offered good advise on how to coordinate roof replacement and adding additional skylights along with adding insulation while the roof work is getting done.

Josh’s Roofing & Construction installed a new roof on our house. Our roof is large and complex, so we had some concerns about tackling such an immense project. Josh helped us navigate through every step with his unwavering attention to detail. He’s driven to do everything to the highest standards and we simply cannot say enough good things about Josh and his company.

We received five different estimates for our project and Josh’s Roofing & Construction stood out from the other companies from the beginning. Josh’s estimate was very professional and extremely detailed. It included five pages of photos of our roof, with each one having detailed descriptions. These photos were incredibly helpful because we could not inspect the roof ourselves. It was clear from Josh’s estimate that he meticulously inspected everything on our roof and the surrounding area.

Josh was extremely hands-on during the entire process. Our project included not only a new roof, but also painting and new gutters. Josh communicated directly with the painter and the gutter company to ensure everything went smoothly. He personally met with us a number of times to discuss our project, both at our home and at a roofing supply warehouse. His thorough knowledge of the various roofing materials was evident when we asked him numerous questions during all of our meetings. His guidance made us feel confident about our decision regarding the roofing material and the color.

We were also impressed with the installation process of our new roof. Josh and his team took very good care of our house and our property.

Fantastic experience! Our roof had wind damage so we were working through our insurance company (State Farm— would not recommend) to get it replaced, and the whole process was new to us. Josh has a lot of experience working with insurance companies for repair and replacement claims, and he really walked us through the whole process so much better than our insurance people, who treated us basically like a number. Josh educated us about the best product options for our price range and his crew did a really nice job on the replacement. I would highly recommend this company to anyone needing roof work! I have a long review- but stay invested because Josh’s Roofing (AKA Josh himself) helped us through an extremely rough insurance claim. Without going through each incident in detail, I’ll try to be brief. From the get-go, Josh was nothing short of professional, helpful, timely, kind and honest. He gave us all the information we asked about, plus everything we didn’t know we needed to know or consider. We had damage from the November 2021 windstorm and filed an insurance claim in March 2022. Our claim was closed by State Farm three times because each time they insisted the roof was repairable. Mind you, the roof was out of code as it had 3 layers on it. Josh helped us get quotes to reflect our roofing material is no longer being made, joined four- FOUR different inspections (both in person and video chat) with our various claim adjusters, showed each adjuster where the wind damage was, gave them collateral on what wind damage looks like in his line of work, the guy just went absolutely above and beyond for us. He also proved to the adjuster(s) that our roof permit was over the allotted SF for repair and would need to be replaced anyway. After the 3rd time the claim was closed, we were ready to pay out of pocket for the full repair and be done with trying to get insurance to help. Josh recommended for us to submit a claim to the OIC, Office of the Insurance Commissioner for WA State. He said that State Farm was the worst company he has ever dealt with on a roof claim (sorry we had to be the ones for the worst case, Josh!) but the OIC’s job is to ensure you’re getting what you pay for in your insurance policies. We submit the claim with ALL the backup listed above (emails, photos, statements, you name it). We are into October now, I submit the claim and get a call from State Farm 7 days later. They tell me they are re-opening the claim and covering the full replacement. I learned two things: 1) State Farm sucks and will not help their customers when they have valid, legitimate issues that we pay insurance to help us cover and 2) it pays to have a roofer with integrity that won’t stop at anything to make sure you’re taken care of. The roof looks amazing, his crew was a delight and they helped save us a TON of money working with insurance. I don’t think any other roofing company in Spokane would have given us the time of day to help us through the claim and everything State Farm was asking for. Anyway, long review but couldn’t recommend Josh and his company more! Thank you, Josh!

Josh came out to my home in July, 2022 to look at some damaged siding and the framing underneath. He was very professional and I appreciated the detailed way he went over the project. However, it has been over 2 months and I have not received a bid. I waited a couple of weeks after he came to the house, then I called. It took me a couple of times and I finally reached him. He said he would look for my bid and get it to me. I have been checking my email and I have left several messages, all to no avail. If a company cannot or chooses not to do the work, they should at least have the common courtesy to let the customer know that they are declining the job! It is beyond frustrating trying to find a responsive company when I so badly need the work done. I am very discouraged.

I called Josh to see if he would be willing to look at a few reports on a house that I was in the process of purchasing to get his opinion on the condition of the roof. He not only listened intently, but he gave me well over hour of his own time to provide his insights on what he read. He also went out of his way to inspect the roof himself. I couldn't believe how accommodating and genuine he was the whole time. He did all of this on the same day of me calling him while he was on another job. There is no question, I will refer Josh to others but when it's time for roofing needs he will be my first call.

Can’t say enough good things about Josh Davey and his company!! We had a small roofing issue and some inside leak repair work to be done. Josh was honest, fair and efficient! Such a great guy to work with. He was responsive to texts and emails, had some great ideas (both cost-saving and forward-thinking), and was finished with the work earlier than expected. We would definitely hire him again and recommend him whole-heartedly!
