Could not ask for a better install ! These guys were great. Did their job well and on a snowy,windy , nasty cold day the kept things clean and left everything clean. Explained everything properly so us old folks here understood. Even enjoyed our little dog hanging around them. The price for a complete Bryant HVAC system was by far the least expensive price we got quoted from 4 other companies. No over selling whatsoever. Iron City Mechanical (ICM) earned a 5 Star rating with the Dunbar’s. We needed to replace a dead 2 1/2 ton AC unit. I received 5 bids for a Goodman system , AC and furnace a 96% efficiency. ICM was the best bid of the 5. I researched systems and came across a brand made in Canada called Napoleon 9700 Ultimate and there were numerous YouTube videos about them posted by HVAC professionals. It was like moving up from a Buick to a Mercedes. I found out that ICM is a retailer of this brand and their bid for it was still a couple of hundred dollars less than the closest bid for a Goodman system from another contractor. It was a no brainer for me. Bob came out to measurements and pictures explained the pros and cons of each system and we received estimates in our email later that evening. We accepted the bid and were set up for install within 5 days. Mark, the owner of ICM contacted me and let me know they would be arriving between 9:30-10 AM. The agreed upon date Mark and crew arrived at 9:45. After introductions they went straight to work and were finished about 3:30 all cleaned up and even made a few changes to the piping from the previous contractor to make it more aesthetically pleasing (at no additional cost). Mark then explained the nitty gritty of operating this system. I could not believe how quiet it was when the furnace started to run. It runs about 55 dbs. this is about the same human conversation. Pictures are included to show the detail of what I feel is a phenomenal system.

Beyond my expectations.
Called multiple places when our furnace went out on Saturday, and only Iron City took the actual time to talk to me. They not only made us a priority due to not having heat, but were able to give me a flat out rate over the phone without having to go through a rigorous consultation just to get the ball rolling. Not only were they responsive and quick, but they were the most reasonable price wise we found in our area. The whole team was wonderful to work with. I would highly recommend anyone needing a furnace to contact them. Don’t waste your time or extra cash just for a “name brand” company. Shop local, and get treated fairly!

Great job installing my new furnace and a/c . I and very happy with the service I received and would highly recommend iron city mechanical to others.

We called them on Monday August 26 for an estimate. They sent someone on Friday the 30th. Dude walked in our house, introduced himself to my husband and ignored me. Okay whatever. He measured and we were asking questions that he ignored. Couldn't even tell us what brand of air handlers they use. He walked outside measured our current broken AC unit. Then looked at us and said my boss will email an estimate. You should receive it by Sunday (September 1st). All he would tell us was "you can look at our reviews we're a great small local company" which is who we like to support! Well, it was a holiday weekend so I gave until yesterday Tuesday September 3rd. Nothing at all!!! No call or email! Guess who will NOT be installing our unit? there are a lot more local companies who were out the day we called and within the next 2 days.

Bob and Mark were great to deal with. I replaced a 20 + year old system with a larger, more efficient Daiken 16 seer Heat pump with a forced air unit. The process from start to finish was very easy. I will update this review after some time in service.

Highly recommend this company for your heating and cooling repairs and installations In Pittsburgh. They came out to install a new 5 ton ac unit. They were prompt and professional and got our air conditioning up and running in no time.

Great Service! They installed both AC and furnace today. Before the install Bob was more than helpful and available to answer any questions that I had. I've gotten quite a few estimates, and none ever came close to Iron City Mechanical, pricing that make sense for us, I definitely will use them again and again or recommend them to anyone who wants or need a new furnace /cooling system Goodman, Daikin etc...high quality work for low prices, they're the best from ''personal experience'' please try them and a great and satisfying experience will be your result...

It was tough figuring out an install day and time with schedules being what they are but when we got things hammered out the install was on time, thorough and super courteous.

I would like to edit my review for Iron City Mechanical...Bob called yesterday and left me a message stating he had in fact contacted me advising he could not make it on the day we agreed upon because of flooding in Butler. I went through my messages and he did leave me a message. I am not sure how I missed that call, but he did in fact leave a message. He apologized in his message for not being able to make it, and said he would get someone out the next morning. I did use another company, but I would work with Bob in the future if needed. Thank you Bob!

I had an excellent experience. I have a larger home and required more complex equipment and they took care of everything. They were on time, worked quietly and locked up when they left, it was almost like they were never there. They ensured the unit was operational and left instructions and additional filters. I would recommend to anyone looking for professional service and quick turnaround.

I needed an AC and furnace for a home that had been neglected. I was given really high quotes by other companies. I finally saw an ad on Facebook for Iron City Mechanical. Bob was very informative and answered all my questions. He was available to answer questions and very polite. The job was not easy but they came out and did a great job! I would definitely use them again.

Literally over the moon thrilled with this company! From the start Robert was super informative, always in contact, and literally a phone call away. If he ever missed my call or had to find out information to relay to me he always returned my call promptly! The little interaction i had with Mark was short snd sweet but he was great. They got in and out within a few hrs. They are like a well oiled machine together. I was going with another company through my home warranty initially who was price gouging and telling me that I needed extra work done including a dedicated circuit (that I already had) for my furnace. The other company wanted 6k! I was like uh no. I mentioned to my neighbors needing a new furnace and they told me about Iron City Mechanical that they had used several years prior. I gave them a call and I was pleased from our initial conversation. They installed it a week after our initialconversation, but was available the same week. I just didnt have the availability. Aside from that I'm a single mom so reasonably priced while getting top notch work is a MUST and that's literally what they provided me with. I will tell every and anyone about them from here on out. That's literally how pleased I am!

This company is amazing! Hard working, nice, and quick. Got my quote on Monday and they had the ac installed on Thursday. They went above and beyond by fixing the furnace that was installed by another company. I highly recommend these honest and hard working individuals

Had them install a tankless water heater, a/c and furnace. Unbeatable quality and value. Always on time, always available to answer my questions, incredibly knowledgeable about the various options that were available. They installed everything in two days and they cleaned everything up as they went. On top of that they were well below other estimates I had received for the jobs. Please look for a different company. Mark got over on me and gave me a used AC unit. It broke down not even a week after install. Mark would not answer my calls so I went with a different company, who informed me the unit was as used and probably wont last much longer.
I’m a single parent to 2 kids. I can’t afford to be taken advantage of and I think Mark used my situation to his advantage.
Should of did my research prior to hiring him. To say I was shocked by his record is an understatement.

Great service, mechanics were very knowledgeable, we had a serious AC problem, they came in a very reasonable amount of time. We are very satisfied with Iron City Mechanical.

Our AC went down and the hottest day of the year. Chris from ICM showed up the same day and figured out the problem right away. Other companies said it would take four days to get the parts in however ICM was able to deliver and have my AC fixed the very next day! I highly recommend this company for the pricing is right and they are very professional and know what they are doing!

They installed our AC and heater 4 years ago. They gave us the best quote and we were happy. Over Memorial Day weekend we had a warranty issue with the AC and they came out immediately and repaired it on the spot. Very happy. Knowledgeable and great service.

In the middle of an Arctic blast my furnace died. Not knowing where to turn I found Mark and Iron City Mechanical via Craigslist, I called him on a Monday evening he returned my call within an hour stating, I can be there tomorrow you have to have heat!
He was here at 9am Furnace was installed and running by 1pm. Iron city mechanical and Mark are good guys and do good work.

After receiving two very pessimistic five figure quotes on replacing my entire hot water radiant heat system, I called Mark at Iron City Mechanical. He replaced the entire system with a brand new one in TWO DAYS and for LESS THAN HALF of what I was quoted, without the negative and doom and gloom that I got from the other guys. He also repaired a couple other small things at NO COST, just to make it easier on me. My house is piping hot today. I highly recommend Mark and Iron City Mechanical for a high quality and reasonably priced job.

Long story short: give these guys a call if you're in need of HVAC repairs or replacement! Our 50-year old furnace finally died as soon as the season changed. We were without heat for almost 2 weeks while we scrambled to figure out what we were going to do to try and repair or replace it. Everyone we called gave us the run around and the cheapest quotes we got were $3100 for a replacement (excluding the long list of "nickel & dime" charges that would assuredly be tacked on) and $1300 for a repair / retrofit. My uncle saw Iron City's ad on Craig's List and he gave them a call. They heard about our situation and came out the same day to try and get our old furnace up and running with a temporary fix, and sure enough, they got it working! They didn't even charge us! The fix wasn't going to last all winter so we scheduled a full replacement for the following week and they replaced our ancient, struggling furnace with a brand new, high efficiency Goodman furnace with a 10-year warranty, all for only $2200! The workmanship was flawless and they had us up and running in less than 7 hours the day of the install. As I said in the beginning: these guys absolutely went above and beyond, so if you're in need of HVAC work, you will NOT find better value or workmanship than these guys!

Very fair and honest guys! I was told I needed a smart valve replaced on my furnace by another company that I had a bad experience with and stopped working with. I called around and found that A LOT of heating and cooling guys in the area (10 or so) were just as bad to deal with so I took a leap of faith and described what I needed and Mark responded with a very fair price and could replace the part very quickly. Mark and his crew showed up on time, with the right part and even changed some pipes out that were causing the issue with no extra charge. He drove a good distance as well to do the job. I appreciate that Mark didn't lie to me or gouge me. He's a very honest person. Very rare find these days. I can't say enough how happy I am to find these guys! I would highly recommend them!!!
