Arrived early for my appointment. Only 1 working dock. Short wait and was unloaded in less than an hour. Very friendly.

I requested a Bid from this company for insulation, a guy came out took all the measurements then provided me half the bid then ghosted me I was unable to get in touch with him nor would he contact be back through email or phone calls. I was ready to spend thousands of dollars to update my insulation. I would not recommend them for anything

Recently purchased a home from MI homes (new construction) that used installed building solutions for insulation. According to build plans attic is supposed to be R49 or roughly 16 inches of blown in insulation. Had a home inspector out that was measuring 4-8 inches in areas and everything was very unlevel. Unsure how this was approved or anyone could honestly write R49 on the card and believe it. Did insulation just disappear from the attic? MI homes is refusing to do anything about it, but maybe the actual installer will back their product and fix the issue?

Update: They did reach out and offer to remedy the situation. Had someone out to do a quick inspection and blew in some more insulation. Much appreciated.

We had Installed Building Solutions out to our property for a attic insulation and sealing project. We worked with Jerry on this project and everything was smooth and straight forward from the get go. Jerry was knowledgeable and built trust from the start. The crew was polite, professional, and updated us as the work was being done. Excited about the massive improvement in efficiency moving forward, we plan on having Installed Building Solutions out to help with future projects.

Inspection of attic was detailed and explained exactly what was needed. Crew was professional, pleasant, mannerly, worked efficiently & by photos did a thorough job, & did an amazing job of cleanup. They are knowledgeable at what they do.

Had them install insulation in my garage attic. They responded promptly, cleaned up after the install, and was decently priced for the service. Salesman even came back after job was done to make sure everything went well.

Our company uses Installed Building Solutions for our insulation needs; they are easy to work with, knowledgeable on how to correctly work with insulation problems, and dependable to get the job done on time.

Insulation, closet shelving and shower door. I gave two stars because the work performed has been good. However we are waiting in the last part they were hired for in our new house. The rep Jordan gave me an install date and we were very happy with the timing. No one called and no one showed up the installation date given. I have since called and left a message sent a text message to Jordan with no response I then called there office and was assured by whoever answered they would sort this out and still never got a response. I have since found out through my builder that the shower door has not arrived yet and they will be out over two weeks past the date given. I’m telling you people a simple phone call to let me know would have solved every complaint I had. The blatant disrespect and ignoring of a customer who used several of your services for a new house is egregious. Seems like a pretty basic request.

Quick unload, friendly receivers. Downsize: it can be busy here at the docks and the street. You will need to back your big rig from the street. Best is to arrive at the customer on the northbound lane so you don't have to blindside into the dock. Customer is located on the westside of the street. Check in door is next to dock #10. Overnight is allowed on the street if there is an open spot. Don't block hydrants and driveways.

I live in Farmington and despise this company solely based on there drivers of their vehicles. Today I had one of their class A box truck drivers tailgating me on Pilot Knob when I was doing 5mph over the speed limit. He eventually passed me, but had to have been doing 70mph easily. Great representation of your company.

This place is awesome. I wasn't suppose to deliver till 12/22/20 and they did me solid and unloaded me the day before on the 21st. So I could get my next load and make it home for Christmas. Thanks Mr. Patrick in the warehouse.

Did a great job taking care of the house we purchased. They even took care of preparing the rebate for us as well. Highly recommend them.

I have used IBS several times over the years, both blown insulation to a larger spray foam job for my 3 season porch. Their pricing is very fair and transparent, and they do exceptionally good work. Staff are well training and professional. I highly recommend this company for all your insulation needs.

We had this business install insulation in the attic of a standing dwelling, in Jan of 2020 and could not have been more pleased with the assessment, the cost and the workmanship. We got a referral to this business from a roofing company that we've used a number of times at different locations throughout the years and which we trust.

When Installed Building Solutions came to the house for the assessment, it was clear that they knew their business. The question, then, became: can they deliver? The answer to that is what makes for a 5 star rating.

When the crew came in to do the work, they were friendly, but focused and careful. It was clear that they knew their work and were good workers. Their clean up was immaculate.

We had this work done because the previous year, we had a heck of a problem with ice dams and wanted to do whatever was necessary to diminish that. They were clear from the beginning that the work being done could not guarantee any further problems with ice dams because there could be other reasons involved.

We got the lucky hop, though, because we have just been amazed that we no longer have the problems with ice dams since their work as we had prior to their work.

All of us are drawn to excellence, and these guys are all about that.

While I have not done business with this company, based on the agression of their drivers, I would not let these people in my home! The one I saw going south on 77 was going over 80mph while tailgating anyone going slower. They were also recklessly zipping in and out of traffic. Not the wisest behavior in a company vehicle. Does not speak well for the company.

The picture posted is of the terrible driver and the license plate is visible. I have been informed this incident will be investigated.
In the past I have called businesses but some small businesses are not interested in hearing from the public. So I am hesitant to do so.

Out of the 3 estimates we got for insulating my moms attic, IBS was the best and Matt Smith was the only one who mentioned a rebate! More vents were needed and insulation was blown in along with the hatch. The crew was friendly and did a good job cleaning up. The half day project ended up taking all day. I started calling companies in Oct. and had a tough time getting anyone to call me back to set up estimates. When I went with IBS it took a while to get scheduled, but I know we picked a very busy time of the year to start this project.

Installed Building Solutions has been a valued trade partner with Country Joe Homes for the last 17 years providing all of our waterproofing and insulation needs. Their team is always professional, timely and provides excellent service to our clients. Keep up the great work!

I have used Installed Building Solutions for many various projects through the years. They have always been competitive in pricing and have had a positive experience!

I had home built by Pavek Homes in 2013 when they were still using block for their basements. Installed Building Solutions then came in to apply the coating on the exterior block wall underground area with Tar and above ground Block with a colored coating. Within the first year the white coating that is exposed around the house started to bubble and peel in spots. I was able to at that time go through Pavek to get a contact at Installed Building Solutions to come out and look at the issue we were having. He didn't seem to care too much and said he would have a crew out to address the issue. I believe it was late in the season so they came the next Spring. The crew was not there long per my wife and it showed, they scrapped a few of the worst spots and from what I could tell put another coating on the entire exposed areas. This looked OK for a few months but then proceeded to start bubbling and peeling again. They used a white in color product on my house that I noticed none of the other homes in the area had (all grey) which was later disclosed that the white didn't hold up well so they stopped using it shortly thereafter. I rarely write a reviews much less negative reviews but this is frustrating to me when a company doesn't return my calls. I called last Summer and Fall a couple of times with no response back and now again this Spring. I can imagine they are not happy to hear that their product isn't holding up because it cuts into profit having to make repairs on a job already in the books. I am now in a situation where I have no choice but to hire a professional company to prep and re-coat with a product that will last. I didn't think this was too much to ask originally but was obviously mistaken. I would not recommend this company to anyone: poor customer service, poor product performance and not willing to stand behind their work overall.

I had used them before, and had a punch list of items that they needed to correct after they were done which they responded to. This time I decided to use them again on another house.

In this case, they left the job without completing the attic hatch for blown in insulation. When I came to the house, lose fill insulation around the attic entrance was blowing down into my upstairs. Extra batts of insulation, plastic, and various debris was all left inside the house. It appears no waste was removed.

I emailed / texted them about the cleanup and didn't get a response. Tired of having heat escape through the open attic entrance, I had to have someone else complete that key portion of the job.

I emailed in reply to the invoice they sent me that I would like a reduction in cost due to the incomplete nature of the job. I didn't get a response.

A month later I received a certified letter which can best be considered a threat to put a lien on the house. I contacted Matt Smith and he informed me that the work that was left incomplete conveniently only had a value of $50, although it cost me far more than that of course in time, effort, and cleanup alone.

In the end, the trouble to continually have to follow up with a contractor to have them do work which they are building their business around shouldn't be this much work to get a job done correctly. Especially when this should be their specialty. I notified them today, I'm paying the pull amount promptly but will be sharing my experience so others are aware.

This past winter I had condensation in my attic and I ended up with mold in a master bedroom closet. I had no idea how this happened. Was it due to a new roof or something else? I had to remove everything from the closet, clean and wash it all and live out of garbage bags until the repair was made. The one blessing in it all was this company. They knew what caused the condensation issue. They were the only company that I met with that had the solution. When they came to the house to do the needed work in the spring, they were a delight to work with and I knew they were competent and the work would be done correctly. I would definitely work with this company in the future. They know what they're doing.

I wish I could give a negative score for the rating. I built a new house in 2013 with Pulte and this company is Pulte's contractor for insulation jobs. In past few years, a window on second floor has been leaking in spring due to snow melt. An engineer went to attic and found the insulation material was only 10 inch high (15 inch is required), although there is a ruler in place. I bet they were doing cost reduction and intentionally cut down the insulation materials. (It's in attic and not obvious to inspections.)

I called Pulte and scheduled an appointment to add insulation at 8 am on 5/6/2015. The person Dave did not show up at all and he did not call me either. I found his phone number through his colleagues, and finally reached him at 8:45. He said I had to wait for another hour. I said no, and he said he would call me to reschedule the appointment. One week passed and still no phone call for rescheduling.

This is the worst experience I have had with construction companies. Trust me, as a owner of a newly built house, I have dealt with a lot of construction companies. Installed Building Solutions, TERRIBLE COMPANY and TERRIBLE PEOPLE.

Less than Satisfactory: sales rep was nice and responsive and the crew worked hard. However, we asked for help with the rebate form and it took them 3 months to mail us the incomplete form to do ourselves. That timeliness wasn't similar to their interest in sharing their willingness to file liens within 30 days if they didn't receive promp payment. Phone messages to the owner regarding the status of the rebate form were not returned. We also had a fair bit of insulation to pick up around the house after the project.

A big thank you to Matt Smith and his crews for a fantastic job! I am the Sect/Treas of our Apple Valley Town Home Association, and took several bids for air sealing and attic insulation for seven home owners who expressed interest. Matt Smith of Installed Building Solutions was very professional, patient, and very easy to work with, as the individual home owners were each paying for their own project. Matt was always available for the many questions we had, prior to our accepting his bid. We had a deadline with CenterPoint Energy in order to qualify for a rebate, and Matt made several special trips out to our homes to ensure our rebate forms and invoices were all in order. His crews were fast and friendly, and were also available for our questions. They cleaned up after themselves, even sweeping out our garages, and ensuring all was in order before they left. The office personnel at Installed Building Solutions were also very friendly, efficient, and helpful. We may even be calling them again this Fall, if more home owners within our Association want to participate. I would definitely recommend this company. All seven of the home owners were very pleased with the results. A big thank you to you all!
