Found Illinado online and quite a bit of positive reviews so I decided to give them a call for an estimate to have 2 closets added to a room.

Hugh returned my call and gave me an email address (Hugh's first and last name)for me to send pictures and dimensions. Kept getting the email returned after trying several variations of teh email address he provided.

Texted Hugh he got back to me with the correct email address (just Hugh's first name) the next day.

Emailed him the pictures and dimensions and never heard back. After several texts, a VM, over a week of time - nothing. No estimate, no text, no phone call, no email, no voice messages.

My experience with contractors that don't follow-up is to move on.

Illinado was recommended to me by a friend. Hugh came to my house to provide an estimate for finishing our basement (egress window, rec room, play room, bedroom, and full bathroom). After the agreed upon work he and his team started right away - Hugh provided daily and weekly updates on the progress of the basement and I could easily contact him by text or call. The drywall work was beautiful, the paint and trim looked clean, and two years later the basement still looks phenomenal. Very impressed by Hugh and his team! Thanks Illinado!

I spent about a week calling businesses in the Winchester and Front Royal area about completing a simple gutter cleaning and minor repair, but none called me back (one even missed a scheduled appointment without follow-up). I was given a referral to Illinado and they did not let me down. Hugh called me on a Sunday and said that he could come do the work the following Friday. All of my communication with Hugh was responded to immediately and he completed the job as promised. The “little things” like timeliness, hard work, and consideration do matter in business, and Illinado has held firm to these principles. These guys are awesome. They've done several big renovation projects in our old Virginia farmhouse, and each project has turned out beautifully.

They've given our living room a huge facelift, exposing and preserving the old beams found under the drop ceiling. They've rebuilt the cabinetry in our kitchen, handmade to fit an old cast-iron farm sink, and they turned a building we'd called "the shed" into a great tiny art studio complete with a loft for the kids.

These guys do great work, but that isn't all. They are always careful to explain to me exactly what they're doing and what my options are, and they respect my decisions. They make sure that they leave my house better than they found it with no unexpected messes, paint splatters, etc. They even admit it when they don't have an answer to my problem; they don't try to sell me a service or product that *might* work. Good work, professionalism, honesty, and integrity—they have it all.

I had Illinado redo my 3 and a half bathrooms, one from scratch. The basement bathroom, of course, took the longest because they had to rewire, re-plumb, build walls, extend the vent and all went as planned. Any glitches were house issues not Illinado issues and were resolved quickly and professionally. There were times were I was undecided with color schemes or tile sizes or which faucet/shower units to look at and Mike really was creative with his suggestions. My favorite bathroom is the bathroom I told him to do how he wanted. Don't get me wrong, the others are excellent too, but I chose those tiles in those rooms because I wanted every bathroom to be different. His choice of tiles was better. Each bathroom is different which is very refreshing. I'm very impressed with their work. Mike took the lead on the projects and had his partners working hard. They explained their work carefully and how certain things had to be done in sequence and any glitches that occurred were resolved immediately. If I had another 3 bathrooms in my house, I would get them to remodel as I love their work. I think I will even buy another house just so they can redo it! Awesome team, awesome job! Thanks Chaps!
