Bart & Howerton roofing would be my 1st and only recommendation to anyone near and around Richmond area looking into a roof repair or new roof. As my wife and I are new to being homeowners and getting our very first roof, Bart made us feel very comfortable answered any questions we had 6am or 8pm he would either text or call. The quality of work speaks for itself, super clean & efficient. Not very many owners out there like Bart anymore.

We love our new roof! Bart Howerton and his crew did a wonderful job! We have never before seen such thorough preparation! Prior to removing the old shingles, Bart and crew installed plywood and tarps all around our house to protect our house and shrubs and to facilitate cleanup. The job was completed in 3 days, including very meticulous removal of debris. Highly recommend Howerton Roofing. It was a pleasure to work with Bart and his very competent (and daring) crew!

Mr Howerton was such a pleasure to work with. From the moment we met I could tell he had old school great values and it reflected in the work his company performed on my home. The process was thorough from beginning until the end with Mr Howerton communicating every step of the way and of course explaining the details and differences in my re-roof options. Bart and Howerton Roofing came by my home in a hurry to help me with a roof leak. They replaced a rotted pipe collar and stopped the water from dripping down to my ceiling and potentially destroying the drywall. Bart also followed up a few days later to ensure their fix worked and kept my home dry. I hired Howerton Roofing & Construction, LLC to replace my leaking roof. They came highly recommended and I was not disappointed. Not only did they do an exceptional job of replacing my roof, they also repaired and corrected poorly done work by previous roofers. Mr. Howerton himself explained every step of the process and why his company did what they do to install the roof and make any repairs prior to doing so in order for you to be able to concur on every step.
Mr. Howerton personally followed up with me weeks and even months after the installation to make sure every thing was doe correctly and up to my satisfaction.

Howerton Roofing, in my opinion, is the gold standard in roofing. Bart is professional, detail oriented, and knows his business inside and out. He was spot on what my insurance adjuster estimated for my claim after significant 4/2020 hail damage. Bart goes above and beyond to make sure you know every detail of the job and treats your home as if it is his own. The crew arrived just before 7 every morning and were rolling by 730. They stayed late and even made sure their work was protected at night from potential frost. The crew was careful to protect the home, the decking, driveway, the bushes/shrubs, and my grass. He personally offered to help put stuff back in place on my deck rolled my yard for any potential nails that got away. I am sure few gotta away given my yard and driveway were tarped.

Bart is the type of guy where a handshake is his word and as good as a contract in black and white. I hold him in my highest regard and strongly encourage you to consider him for your roofing project. You will not be disappointed.

Tried to call for an appointment. I was very flexible and willing to wait until they were available. Essentially I was told they are too busy and they couldn’t help me. I am very disappointed in the level of customer service. I was happy to wait until they had an appointment opening. But they wouldn’t even give me the time of day.

Had 3 companies bid for re-roofing my home and Howerton was the only one who walked us through every aspect of the job. No hidden costs. The crew was excellent and the finished job is superior.

Howerton Roofing and Construction completed a roofing job on a house and detached garage for me in December 2019. I found Mr. Howerton to be straightforward and attentive to the work throughout the entire process. He explained the work throughly and supervised his workers at regular intervals each day. The materials used were of a quality nature and the preparatory work prior to applying shingles was good. Care was taken to protect the grounds around the buildings and cleanup was through. I would highly recommend his company to others for any roofing needs.
