I don't mean to be one of those people who take to Yelp/google just to leave a negative review, but due to the unprofessional and negligent practices of this company I feel obligated.

Our landlord hired this company to reroof the house we rent over the 2 days before a holiday weekend. We were in the house and available both days but the roofers did not communicate with us unless we initiated it. They started and ended the roof work both days without a word to us. We would suddenly hear them banging around above for a few hours and then it would go silent and they were gone.

When I got home from work after the first day, I found nails and debris scattered all over our driveway, around the trash trailer they left parked on our driveway, and all over the front yard and around the sides of the house. We sent pictures of the nails to our landlord and stressed how important it was that the roofers clean up after themselves thoroughly, especially because we have a toddler who plays often in the backyard and our neighbors have young kids who play outside daily.

After the roofers completed the job and left the next day, the front yard was still a mess. I went around the outside of the house and collected as much of the nails and debris as I could find. It was so bad that I got a heavy duty rolling magnet the next day and ran it through the walkway by our trash cans, in the grass in the front yard where my son plays. This yielded another huge pile of rusty nails. Attached are pictures of all the nails we found after the roofers did their final cleanup.

I understand that replacing a roof is hard and dangerous work, but it shouldn't leave a dangerous environment in its wake.

Service questions
1. Should I stay home during roof replacement?

It's not necessary to stay home during roof replacement. Roofing work is noisy and can cause vibrations inside the house, which might be uncomfortable. Most homeowners choose to leave during major parts of the project, but our team ensures safety and keeps you updated, whether you're home or not.

2. How long does roof replacement take?
+-

The timeline for a roof replacement typically ranges from one to three days, depending on the size and complexity of the roof, weather conditions, and material type. Larger or more intricate roofs may take a bit longer, but we always aim for efficient, timely completion.

3. How to hire a roofing contractor?
+-

To hire a roofing contractor, start by researching local companies with good reviews and proper licensing. Request quotes from multiple contractors, verify their insurance and certifications, and ask for references. Always ensure you get a written contract that outlines the scope of work, timeline, and payment terms.

4. How to check if a roofing company is legit?
+-

Check if a roofing company is legit by verifying their business license, insurance, and local certifications. Look for memberships in professional associations, read customer reviews, and ask for recent project references. A legitimate company will be transparent and provide all documentation upon request.

5. How to choose a roofing company?
+-

When choosing a roofing company, consider their experience, customer reviews, warranty offerings, and quality of materials. Make sure they provide clear communication, detailed estimates, and a solid portfolio of completed projects. Local expertise is also a major advantage for understanding regional roofing needs.

6. How do you know if your roofing contractor is ripping you off?
+-

Warning signs that your roofing contractor might be ripping you off include vague contracts, pressure to pay large upfront deposits, lack of proper documentation, and unexplained price increases. Always ask for itemized estimates and written guarantees, and avoid contractors who avoid answering your questions directly.
