We had a new roof installed by another roofer. They replaced the flashing around our skylights, which resulted in the skylights leaking and cracking. They refused to do anything about this.

Hennis replaced the skylights and they no longer leak and haven't cracked, in spite of the bitter cold weather. I was thrilled that they agreed to fix the problem and strongly recommend them for any roofing job.

I needed a roof after a storm, Jake Hennis was referred to me by a friend. I met this gentleman and knew he was the right person. He has been solid to his word from the beginning. He showed up with a crew that was ready to work ,polite ,clean. This man truly cares about what he recommends . I don’t think you can go wrong. This crew stayed active and got the job done. I have not found a nail anywhere. They were meticulous about covering things and protecting my exterior. I love my roof. Thank you so much Jake Hennis and the men you had working that day. Extremely professional and responsive. Jake and his team were a dream to work with. They provided knowledgable estimates, were frank and honest in their recommendations, then went above and beyond to coordinate with our schedule. They replaced our roof in two half days; guys showed up promptly, did a beautiful job, and left our house and yard spotless clean. Hennis will be our go-to roofing company.

We received several bids for replacing our 20+ year old roof. Jake was the best value (for quality of materials) and most responsive. He is not a huge company with several trucks and employees, so you might have to wait for him to complete your job. But his estimated wait time was accurate and we knew this ahead of time. Jake shows up with his crew. He was there with his crew for the duration of the project. He said he would show up early morning and be done by noon and that is exactly what happened. (Actually he finished even earlier.) His crew showed up, covered every bit of our yard and moved things out of the way to protect from debris. I was so impressed. Not one nail, particle of old shingles or anything was left behind, except a new roof. The crew of workers were polite and greeted us and asked if we needed anything. Even a neighbor's contractor asked who he was, as they have seen few roofers with the organization and efficiency that Hennis (Jake and his crew) demonstrated that day. They removed our old shingles down to the roof deck. They also replaced the gutters, which was going to be a separate job with some roofers. I appreciated having one contractor to do both jobs. I highly recommend Jake at Hennis Exteriors. I wish he did more than roofs. He is professional and honest.

Hennis Exteriors installed a new roof on our home and detached garage in 1.75 days. They showed up early both days and worked continuously and efficiently throughout. They tore off the old roof down to the sheeting. They picked up each and every scrap of material. They guarded all our many plants and shrubs so that NO damage was done to any of them. Except for the new roofing and gutter screens you would not know they had been here.

The inspection and bidding process was also excellent. The owner spoke with us and fully explained their diagnosis and plan for repair. The cost was reasonable. Their workers all seemed like solid citizens who enjoyed and were skilled at their craft. We give them our unreserved highest recommendation.

Excellent workmanship at a fair price. Cheapest in town - no, but best value for the money if you want a quality job - yes. Jake is excellent to work with. Second generation roofer. He's very good with follow up and delivering on his promises. Hennis is our favorite roofing contractor and one of our favorite subs. We highly recommend them.

Jake and his team did a fantastic job replacing our roof. Jake is super responsive first and foremost. They were prompt, efficient (finished in 7 hours), and meticulous. We haven't found any reminants of anything whatsoever. Jake called later in the day to make sure we were pleased. This is how customer service should work! Thanks again to all of you. We chose Hennis Exteriors for our roof replacement and were extremely satisfied. They were in and out in less than a day. We never found one single nail or shingle anywhere! Their pricing isn't the cheapest but it is definitely a fair price. We have found with other contractors that you definitely get what you pay for. I continue to recommend them to everyone that needs a roof.

Hennis Exteriors just replaced our roof after we had hail damage. I should note that Hennis had done the original roof about 12 years ago. We had no idea that we had damage form the hail storm and found out as a result of a home inspection. Point is the original roof continued to work well - never leaked.
Jacob and the Hennis team worked closely with our insurance adjusted and do the job all within the insurance estimate. They did the work in two days and I was highly impressed with the professionalism of the crew and how well they all worked together. After the first day they cleaned up - there was not a lose shingle or nail to be found anywhere. After they completed the job, again, everything cleaned up and the roof looks terrific.
I was really impressed with the Hennis crew. I had a chance to speak with a couple of the crew and it was evident that they all took pride in their work. They were all professional and very friendly. What a pleasure to have them working on our house.

These guys did a fantastic job on my new roof. Very easy to work with. They arrived on time and finished just before it started raining. One of my family members who was a roofer years ago recommended Hennis and I'm glad we decided to use them. The roof looks perfect and no more leaks!

Cannot say enough great things about this company and specifically Jacob Hennis. We just had a new roof, sky lights, and gutters replaced and his team did an amazing job. They showed up promptly at 6:45 am and we were completed by that afternoon. They were beyond friendly and thankful that we had hired them to do the job. I was also completely shocked how well they cleaned up. They spent probably 30 + minutes with each worker walking the yard and driveway with magnetic rollers and left my house like they had not even been here. I will be recommending them to everyone I know as well as to the Handyman STL FB group.

Had a roof and gutter replacement completed today and have been beyond impressed. Communication from Jacob Hennis has been great throughout. The process start to finish was great, and seeing the finished product has been wonderful. They took extra precaution in protecting the home and there was not one single piece of debris to be found around the house. Will definitely recommend.

Unfortunately their reputation on here from 2-7 yrs ago has changed. Oh, they were fast, in and out. Left a mess. Messed up our siding, used Black caulk to fix it, I know because it fell off. Left shingle pieces everywhere. Left lots of nails, roof wasn't done properly. They must have knocked the gutter off while they were there also, as we just noticed someone drilled a nail through the gutter and ripped the gutter, as it was bent downward. I would not recommend them. Thank you
