For those thinking this service is primarily for older folks, think twice! As busy professionals, I cannot overstate my gratitude and appreciation for the HFH team! Our home manger Branden has quite literally saved us on multiple occasions, from getting a hot water heater replaced within 24 hours to coming over to remove our bannister so that we could move furniture to the second floor of our home (old houses, if you know you know). They consistently go above and beyond, and truly are trusted advisors. THANK YOU!

I’ve been using HFM for about a year, and overall have had a great experience. My tech, Canaan, is very knowledgeable and always finishes my task list and then more! My home manager, Branden, is very communicative and has ensured all projects have been delivered in a timely manner. He’s also stepped in to meet contractors at my home when I was running behind. Would recommend.

Great in theory but doesn’t live up to its name in reality. Lots of disorganization and lack of communication. Issues scheduling and confusion between handyman and the house manager. I tried it for a year and it was clear my money would be better spent on a neighborhood handyman, not this service.. as much as I was hoping to love it

I had high hopes for Hassle Free Homes but there were more misses than hits. The first handyman was a no show two times in the first few months, so I was going to cancel, but they convinced me to stay on by sending another guy, who was good. It was convenient having a regular person come to the house, but the list of To Do items took so long that he often didn’t have time for the maintenance. So I requested additional visits until the To Do items were completed, but scheduling them took so long. The biggest issue was the project manager, who did not manage the transition, meaning the second handyman replaced the wrong toilet and then it was a hassle trying to make sure I wasn’t billed for the time it took to fix that error. My bathroom floor tile also was damaged because he didn’t put a floor protector down before dragging the toilet on it. That issue still hasn’t been resolved months later. The project manager at times has been a boon - the glass in my front door broke and he found an emergency repair guy quickly. However, on a few occasions, he has said he would be at the house and I wouldn’t need to be there, but then he was not and I had to supervise which interfered with my work day. He doesn’t show up or follow up to make sure the job is completed properly so really the only thing he does is get quotes (which I had to be there to get the quote anyway and explain the project). I could just google contractors to get quotes. And because he is an intermediary and has terrible attention to detail, he has misstated what was required - I was quoted a price for fixing mortar around my house but in fact only half was done. During a repair of my skylight he was supposed to coordinate with the handyman to do some parts and the skylight person to do others but did not. It just ended up being more hassle and work than doing it myself.

Charlie was very courteous and knowledgeable. He was thorough and made sure that all the tasks were completed before leaving.

I wish we'd done this a year ago. Charlie came for our first visit and so many things got checked off our list. A weight off our minds and just an excellent, professional experience from start to finish!

We had our first visit from Sam today and we were incredibly impressed. He was friendly, professional, and clearly very knowledgeable. Sam completed all the routine maintenance checks we were expecting and tackled several of the projects on our to-do list. He pointed out helpful features we didn’t even know we had—like our HVAC filters being smart-enabled for updates—and made some great suggestions for small upgrades that will really make a difference. He also noticed that our water valves weren’t clearly labeled (turns out the red one was for cold water) and took the time to update and clarify everything for us. It was truly a hassle-free experience. We feel very confident knowing Sam’s keeping an eye on our home!

Claude Mobley has done a great job at our house. Always prompt, communicative and professional. He takes pride in his work, and I look forward to continuing to work with him.

My first home visit from the HFH team today was a huge success. Charlie and Lashell were punctual and we started right in on the lengthy “to do” list for my 100 year-old home. They are both so pleasant and professional. At the end of the afternoon, Charlie had accomplished so much — from properly hanging heavy, framed brass rubbings to snaking my clogged bathroom drain and everything inbetween. He is a creative problem solver and it was a pleasure discussing and strategizing with him about how to solve various situations. He explained everything carefully. We are off to a great start in bringing my old home back from the brink and I look forward to next month’s visit.

HFH has been great for everything from routine maintenance to odd jobs to planning bigger projects. They assess the entire house and suggest fixes or maintenance that I would have never thought of. Our techs have hung mirrors, solved drain issues, fixed sticky doors, anchored furniture for child safety, and on and on. Branden is super knowledgeable and does a wonderful job problem solving and coordinating big projects.

HFH has been caring for our home for a few years now and it is such a relief to have one contact who can manage all your home’s needs, especially as a busy family with little time to dedicate to household projects. They are always timely with their responses and have contacts with all sorts of companies that will make your home feel like new again. Had a partial electrical outage and Noland was the in charge for my case. Very pleased with the follow up by him, and by the assigned electrician, Skylar.

However, the turnaround time could be better (not Noland’s fault Becos I think there’s insufficient number of electricians in their network). We reported the issue around 5-6pm and we only manage to secure an electrician next day 3-4pm. If we had an electrician earlier we would have identified it was pepco’s issue and resolved it more promptly.

Hassle Free homes has made a huge difference in our lives and the shape of our home. We have neglected much of our maintenance through the years and Jesse has turned it around for us. Jesse, our service technician is terrific. He makes sure that all of his work is top notch. On top of that, he’s so kind and friendly. We love him, and so does our dog. We always look forward to his visits. It’s been exciting to know that Hassle Free homes will be here every month to take care of us.

We just had our second quarterly visit from Hassle Free Home Services and Alvaro is an absolute dream! He addresses things I didn't even notice as issues and it's such a treat to notice all the little touches in the days after he's been here, like the fresh caulking all around our bathrooms, and how none of the toilet handles jiggle anymore. He fixed our leaky hose spigot and replaced all the gaskets in our hoses and sprayers, blew out the lint in the dryer vent, ALLLLL of those annoying little home projects that are so easy to forget. He and Daniel make a great team, and they are even both so accommodating of our 4 dogs. I can't recommend this service enough if you are a busy home owner who struggles to stay on top of the entropy and endless chores!

It is also wonderful to have the same team that is getting to know my house so well be the ones to coordinate with specialty contractors for additional projects. I no longer feel overwhelmed by house tasks and would absolutely recommend them.

This is an amazing service! Made my life so much easier in helping to get things done that needed to be. For example, I didn't realize that our smoke detectors were past their expiration date. They identified the issue, sent me a link to order replacements and will install them all. Highly recommend using this company!

Don't do it. It's a very expensive service and on only our second home visit, the technician did not arrive and told us we'd hear from the scheduling department. We never heard back but they did not forget to charge us for the visit that never happened. In the meantime, I had to pay separately to have an outside handy man come do the projects I had planned for Hassle Free Homes. NOT worth it.

Scott from Hassle Free Homes is a joy to work with. He spends four hours each quarter performing seasonal maintenance and helps us with our list of requested services. Our Home Manager arranged for a roof replacement and all we did was write the check! Just signed up for HFH and am VERY impressed. After a really thoughtful welcome call with Erik and a screening call with the team, I had my first visit from my home manager and technician this week. I had high hopes but they were honestly exceeded. The staff was friendly, knowledgable, and most of all professional. They worked quickly and thoroughly checking off a bunch of long term todos in just the first hour. What made me wait so long?

I am confident I am in good hands going forward. More than that I legitimately felt a sense of calm and excitement about my house (two words I don't often associate with a home). Plus, I am already dreaming bigger about how my home can be improved with limited extra work on my part in the years to come. Obviously this is initial impression subject to an update in the future but honestly I couldn't be happier we got signed up.

I hired Hassle Free recently and have already been incredibly impressed with how good they are. My technician Zack is fabulous - and Ray is always very responsive to any request. They have quickly found good roofers, HVAC, and electricians that are responsive, trustworthy, and reasonable in price. My life just got easier. I am very appreciative.

We had a very frustrating, time wasting, expensive experience with HFHS. It took almost 3 months to book, we were billed at the beginning of the month for an appointment at the end of the month, and we never had the “comprehensive home walk through check list” evaluation. I emailed our To Do list to 3 different reps, but when the maintenance person did show up (after rescheduling twice), had no info on our list. Then they misdiagnosed a problem with our washing machine that resulted in a separate service call and charge with a different company. We cancelled the contract, but they still charged us the $300 annual fee. Anything but hassle free.

I don't enjoy keeping up with home maintenance so I outsourced it to Hassle Free Home Services. They understand all of the systems in my house, how to keep things running, and they also handle bringing in outside vendors. It is a great service.

We moved from NYC to the DC area, and it was hard to keep up with home maintenance. Hassle Free Home Services has provided me and my family with the ease of apartment living and security of having an expert in my corner for anything that comes up. I find the rates reasonable and the service to be outstanding.

We live in a 100 year old home and there is always something to be fixed! They keep on top of everything - filters, lights, change of season stuff, and also are super helpful when a typical plumbing issue occurs or when we are out of town and there is an emergency issue with water or any type of leak. I feel very comfortable having them in my home, whether I am here or not, and Canaan can fix or put anything together with ease.

I love knowing that someone will be here on a routine basis to fix all the things that go wrong, to lend a hand (hanging pictures, rearranging furniture) or just to provide advice. What really gives me peace of mind is knowing that there is someone to call in an emergency (leaking ceiling, basement flood). The company stands behind its work and, on the very rare occasion that something goes wrong, they make it right. This is a great service with responsive staff and they are a pleasure to work with.

They are there have a regularly schedule program, keeping our home in excellent shape, are always available for the exceptions in between visits. They almost always get the job done right the first time, but if they don't, they come over right away to fix it with no grief on our part. The fact that they stand behind their work makes them invaluable to us - when money was tight I refused to allow this service to be one of the things we cut.

Hasselfree has helped me so much in maintaining our townhome. Their monthly checklist is detailed and thorough. When I've had a problem betwen monthly appointments, the team has sent someone to the house.
And in one case, our regular handyman, Albert, found a leak before it became a major problem.
