Definitely recommend GW Contracting! Grover and Tom worked with me and the insurance company on some wind damage to our roof so we got the best bang for our buck! Tom was great to communicate with and answered all my questions along the way. They also helped with some other repairs around our house and were quick to get them done before cold weather. Great guys and great work!

If you blatantly ignore my multiple No Soliciting signs and ring my doorbell anyway, and the prove you're stupid and leave your business card on my Ring doorbell, then I'm going to leave you a one star review. Michael A. Scott, "Senior Lead Consultant", if you or anyone from your company breaks the law again, I will contact the police. It is against Bellevue law for solicitors to ignore No Soliciting signs. Make sure it doesn't happen again. Even if you don't, you've made sure that we will never use your company's services if we need your kind of work and will look elsewhere.

We used GW Contracting for some roof projects from 2021-2023. We liked them. They had good customer service & did good work.

But in 2023, the company went downhill. We experienced poor customer service, & an unhelpful, lazy worker. This has had huge repercussions for us.

In the summer of 2023, we had a roof leak that needed repaired. We called GW Contracting. They were hard to get a hold of & they did not return my calls. Finally, I got a hold of them & set up an appointment.

The worker they sent was awful. He arrives & we have to tell him why he’s there because he did not even bother to look at his notes before coming.

We show him where it’s leaking & he refused to do the job, falsely stating that it was merely condensation, not a leak. What a bunch of crap!

As a result, the job did not get done & our ceiling caved in. We also lost the insulation in our attic & our attic developed mold. Utter fail GW Contracting. We will never use you again. I’m writing this review so that others can avoid the nightmare of using GW Contracting.

I had a pleasant experience with GW Contracting. I’m extremely grateful to have hired them during the claim process all the way through to construction. During recent hail storms, our home and steel building had major hail damage. I called Grover Wiley and he sent Tom out immediately. Tom met me with the insurance adjuster and made sure nothing was missed on the claim. Both Tom and Grover were very good to work with. Down to earth and knowledgeable. I recommend them to everyone. They handled my house and building roof’s, gutters, facia and sun lights.

Courteous professional and efficient I got a job to do they came in they did it they cleaned up they were gone couldn't even tell they were here highly recommend my family and friends

Grover and his team have done several jobs for me at my home and have always been timely, courteous, professional and have done exemplary work. I wouldn't even consider calling anyone else. Their pricing is perfectly in line, if not slightly less than their competitors and the work has been done right the first time. I trust this company and its men and that's saying a lot in today's world.

Was never given an estimate. Email you sent me would not open the attachment that was supposed to show the estimate. I emailed a "Michelle" from your company asking her to resend the estimate email again but never got a reply by e-mail or phone call or any response at all. No followup so I called another company since I was ghosted. Would not recommend this company.

This is lengthy but worth the read if you're considering business with this company. I'll start off by saying this occurred back in 2020 and the job was completed on a house we no longer live in. I'm only submitting this review because I revived an email asking for one. So here it is: Worst. Experience. Ever. Absolutely terrible company. Do yourself a favor, and take your business elsewhere. The whole process from start to finish was absolutely horrible but here are the highlights - 1. They drove their trailer into the side of our house. This happened while I was working from home (which they knew) so I was able to record the whole thing on camera. Too bad I can't upload videos to Google Reviews. I waited for them to take accountability and come talk to me about it. Instead, the crew left without saying a word. I then called to confront Grover about this and he said "they were probably embarrassed by what happened". These were grown men. Take accountability for your actions instead of being cowards. Also, why would you defend your crew when they were clearly in the wrong instead of apologizing right off the bat? They did end up fixing the damage at no cost, but they should not be trusted. 2. They didn't come prepared with enough materials for the job (they were short a tarp) so we let them use ours. They ensured we would get it back at the end. Instead, they threw out our tarp. We had to ask several times for a replacement. They finally agreed to replace it and would drop it off, but the only time they could come was when our movers would be at our house (we were in the middle of moving). They assured me they wouldn't get in the way. Grover and some other guy show up and drive over the moving materials laid out on our driveway, thus ruining them, and immediately start blaming the movers for leaving them there. I warned them the movers had priority and instead, they acted like immature teenagers not looking where they are driving and starting an altercation for something they should have apologized for. 3. It took months for them to locate matching siding for the job (and to be fair, this may have been true due to the high demand of materials following a massive storm) however, they contacted us at least three different times asking about the color to confirm for ordering. They should have had this information long ago, so it seemed very sketchy as if they never placed the order when they said they did the first time. Plus, they almost ordered the wrong color shingles after confirming THREE DIFFERENT TIMES. 4. The lady in the front office had the nerve to call and leave a rather not-so-nice voicemail asking for final payment. She seemed annoyed that she was even having to make the call in the first place. I called back and told her we submitted a check weeks ago and I had the carbon copy to prove it. Suddenly, she "found" the check. But again, no apology. There were other things this company did poorly, but these took the cake. Trust me, run the other way!

The entire team went above and beyond for us. New roof, gutters, siding, window wraps, shed. Locally owned, honest, hard working, on time! I cannot say enough good things about every person I dealt with and would not hesitate to use them again and refer to others!

When a 100mph derecho hit Cedar Rapids Iowa, there was such demand for reputable contractors. I saw their business card on a help site. I looked at their website and gave them a call. They responded promptly. When they were done everything was perfect.

I would give this review a 0 Stars if i could!!
DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY!!!!!!!!!! They took advantage of several people in our lake community after hail damage last summer. Did our roof, quick, too quick as it would be, as we had massive water damage after the 1st rain with the new roof. It took over 2 months to get them to agree to repair the damage. They actually never got to replacing our siding, as the damage occurred in June 2022 and as of May 2023 they were still "unable" to find the matching siding. After I fired them, the new contractor was able to locate the matching siding and had it installed in less than 3 weeks. There are several people at our lake that are STILL waiting for GW to replace their siding as of October 2023!!!!!

My first interaction with GW Contracting was after the derecho in August 2020. My insurance company had denied my claim concerning replacing my roof. GW Contracting got in contact with my insurance company and worked with their adjustor to reverse their initial determination.

After GW Contracting replaced our roof, my wife and I decided that that they had done such an outstanding job that we would have them replace our siding and gutters.

Given their performance on our house, we would strongly recommended this company

The guys at GW made our home repair project stress free. They were super friendly and helpful during every step of the process including dealing with insurance etc. We are super happy with the work as well as the timeline on which it was completed. Thanks guys!

Where do I begin? Not only is this company LOCAL, (which seems to be unheard of with all of the fly by night roofing companies that come in from out of town every time there's a hail storm), they exceeded my expectations from day one. GW Contracting dealt directly with my insurance company (American Family) so I didn't have to. I was discouraged when American Family denied my initial claim for hail damage but was pleasantly surprised by the way GW Contracting handled everything. GW Contracting disputed the denial and my new roof was approved in no time. Grover worked with me on color selection and was even able to convince American Family to approve new, wider gutters in addition to the roof. Grover from GW Contracting called me the evening before my roof install to remind me his crew would be there bright and early. He didn't want the noise outside to alarm me or my elderly dog. My roof was finished in one day! The crew returned the next day to remove the dumpster in my driveway and make sure everything was to my satisfaction. Grover also drove by that weekend to make certain things looked great. I will be referring all of my friends, family and neighbors to this amazing company. Thank you GW Contracting!

The team at GW Contracting has done many new roofs for me over the past year. Grover, Jeff, Matt, Tom, Michelle & the whole staff have been very easy to work with. They are competitive on pricing, responsive, & keep great files with all details & images of the properties. They have also been great at inspecting roofs & gutters for any potential damage. I would highly recommend them.

We are a locally owned business in the Old Market. We are housed in a very old building that was in dire need of some love. GW Contracting helped us with all new flooring among other upgrades. Grover, Justin and their guys were very professional and the final result was great. We will definitely use them for any more construction projects here at Twisted Fork. Grover and crew were amazing …. very professional friendly and on time… They not only replaced my roof due to hail damage but my siding was also damaged and they replaced all of my siding.!! I would highly recommend them for any or all repairs. I never had to talk to insurance agent they did it all for me‼️

Grover Wiley/ GW contracting has worked 4 months with insurance to get our roof repair approved. Jess, Matt and Luis are professional, courteous, knowledgeable and have amazing work ethic. As we struggled to get insurance approval, Matt helped to keep me calm when I was frustrated.

Matt was in constant communication with us. When Matt said he would give us an update by a certain time, he was right on time. When I called, he always answered.

Our repairs are not completed due to weather. Our home is safe and secure to get us through the winter months. We looked forward to working with Matt and Luis this spring to finish the total project.

After the derecho storm in Cedar Rapids our house was a sad excuse for a home. Grover and Matt truly are the best contractors we have ever worked with! They are the best communicators and they put their whole heart into rebuilding our home! There are no words to express how much we appreciate GW Contracting and all of their team members! I cannot express how much gratitude I have for GW. Grover and Matt worked with our insurance to get new roofs on our house and our roof. Then they were able to get our garage resided, the asbestos on our home removed, as well as putting up new insulation, wrap and siding on our home. They are amazing. They always answer and are super helpful. We could not have hoped for a better company to work with. GW is the best around!

I called Grover up about a year ago when I wanted to sell my house. Some singles needed to be replaced due to hail damage. I called around and everyone was telling me they had to see it first in person since they can’t provide a quote from a photo. Grover saw the photo and said he can do it and match the shingles for $300. I was hesitant at first from experience with other contractors. Something might come up and next thing I know the work is done and the 300 turns into 1000. He sent his crew out the next day and said if something comes up he will let me know before making repairs. Everything went smoothly and I received an invoice for the exact amount he quoted me. Even had an electrician that could look at a few other problems as well. This is now my go-to company for any roofing problems I run into
