GT Roofing replaced the roof of a home I own in Gray's Harbor. I found their quote reasonable and they were very professional and easy to deal with. They stuck to their quote and overall it was a good experience.

I cant say enough great things about this roofing company first of all they responded to about 10+ different calls with questions my sister and I had about our roof and as most people we were really stressed about how much this would cost they gave us a quote for best and worst case scenario I really liked that it gave me a better idea what to expect then they came on the day we selected with a crew of probably 10 guys and 4 or 5 truck and had the job done in 1 day I've never seen anyone so effective the price was great we called a few different places most never even called back oh and the workmanship looks perfect already had one big rain and no more leaks thank you gt roofing you guys are great

Very heavy rain in Dec.'22 caused our roof to start leaking. We called GT Roofers at 8 AM 2 days after Christmas and a repairman was here in less than one hour, on the roof and working in 30 mph wind gusts, hard cold rain for over an hour. This was our Christmas miracle as it was fixed and quit leaking, problem solved! We have great appreciation, respect, and gratitude for GT Roofers!

GT Roofing was a great company to work with. The estimator was very detailed in his inspection and walked the whole roof. The estimate came in at a good price and the owner of the company worked with our insurance company to get them the extra information that they needed for our wind damage claim.
The waiting list was long and we were happy to wait for a good quality install. We started to get nervous because we didn't have our roof installed yet and we were due with our baby soon. We didn't want roofers banging on the roof all day with a new born. The staff was amazing and pushed our project forward to accommodate our needs. Even though it wasn't really a roofing emergency.
We found the staff to be honest and trustworthy in their communication and didn't try to upsell us on things that we didn't need. In fact they talked us into a more reasonable product and service than other companies tried to say we needed.
Finally, when our insurance company came back with a lower evaluation than we expected GT took the rest of our bill on payments so we didn't have to worry.

This hard working, tough crew removed and replaced our large barn's metal roof during the historic heat wave of June 26-27, 2021. High temp was 99 Saturday and 108 Sunday. Referred by another Chehalis roofing contractor, they installed a technically difficult standing seam metal roof. Excellent workmanship. Killer bid. I am so glad that I chose GT Roofing.

The GT guys arrived early and jumped right into our roof replacement. We have a big, steep, complex roof, and they stripped it and had the new one on in 10 hours! It looks phenomenal, and they cleaned up very well, only found a few little scraps in hidden spots around the bushes by our house. Overall incredibly pleased at the quality job for a super competitive price. Have and will recommend GT roofing to anyone needing a new roof.

I had several roofers give me a bid and Umberto was the only one who recommended skylights to be replaced. He was honest about how the skylights wouldn’t last as long as the roof and said if it were his home he would replace them. This was great advice and a reflection on his experience and how well he knows his trade. New roof looks great and skylights were replaced.

Excellent customer service, quality, speed, and they even did their own clean up! Don't even question who to use for your roof, these guys are AMAZING. We would definitely hire them again if we ever have to do another roof.

STRIKE ONE: Had a brand new $12,000.00 roof installed by GT Roofing less than three months ago and it is already leaking.
STRIKE TWO: After the roof was installed I went to pay the remainder of my bill and they tacked on an extra $150 card processing fee that they didn't tell me about up front.
STRIKE THREE: The office has one of the worst customer service experiences I have ever had to deal with. The owner hides behind his secretary. His secretary is very argumentative and lacks customer service skills.

They are absolutely unacceptable and you will regret ever hiring these guys. In my opinion, their secretary needs to be fired and it is a wonder how they are still in business! I would have given -1 star, but as you savvy computer users know the star rating system in place forces the user to give at least one star.

My recommendation is to go with the Roof Doctor or another reputable company in the Lewis/Thurston county area.

Service questions
1. Should I stay home during roof replacement?

It's not necessary to stay home during roof replacement. Roofing work is noisy and can cause vibrations inside the house, which might be uncomfortable. Most homeowners choose to leave during major parts of the project, but our team ensures safety and keeps you updated, whether you're home or not.

2. How long does roof replacement take?
+-

The timeline for a roof replacement typically ranges from one to three days, depending on the size and complexity of the roof, weather conditions, and material type. Larger or more intricate roofs may take a bit longer, but we always aim for efficient, timely completion.

3. How to hire a roofing contractor?
+-

To hire a roofing contractor, start by researching local companies with good reviews and proper licensing. Request quotes from multiple contractors, verify their insurance and certifications, and ask for references. Always ensure you get a written contract that outlines the scope of work, timeline, and payment terms.

4. How to check if a roofing company is legit?
+-

Check if a roofing company is legit by verifying their business license, insurance, and local certifications. Look for memberships in professional associations, read customer reviews, and ask for recent project references. A legitimate company will be transparent and provide all documentation upon request.

5. How to choose a roofing company?
+-

When choosing a roofing company, consider their experience, customer reviews, warranty offerings, and quality of materials. Make sure they provide clear communication, detailed estimates, and a solid portfolio of completed projects. Local expertise is also a major advantage for understanding regional roofing needs.

6. How do you know if your roofing contractor is ripping you off?
+-

Warning signs that your roofing contractor might be ripping you off include vague contracts, pressure to pay large upfront deposits, lack of proper documentation, and unexplained price increases. Always ask for itemized estimates and written guarantees, and avoid contractors who avoid answering your questions directly.
