Jim Groves - you cannot pull out of thin air such a serious accusation against a customer.
After ordering glass for tabletops and 2 windows, there was only 1 hiccup in the process. You yourself came to measure for a window replacement in our home, but after waiting longer than normal for its arrival, the window was the wrong size and could not be installed. A new window had to be fabricated to fit, and eventually, the window was installed.
We recently ordered another window, still trusting your company. Staff came to measure the window and all went well. We never received an estimate, and were waiting to hear from you. We weren’t in a rush but wondered why it was taking so long.

Today, we received a bizarre email from you, Jim Groves. You say that you “researched” our purchases, and recollect that our past purchases didn’t “go smoothly.” You claim that we invited your installers into our home, while we were sick with Covid, exposing your staff to the illness! You claim we disregarded your staff’s health and safety.

Problem is - neither my husband nor I have had Covid. Nor has anyone been in our home, who has!
Never happened! What the heck!!??

We sent an email and also called your company, to talk to someone, to straighten out the issue, but are told that the you’re not available.

What game is this??!! You make up a reason not to serve a customer? You’ve made an accusation by mistake! A serious one! Did a staff member want a day off, and accuse us? Was the one window we ordered not a large enough sale to bother with us? What in the world is going on????

Be decent! Realize you’ve made a mistake! Don’t make a false accusation, and then be a coward and not talk to us!

Is this a business tactic you use with older customers?

BAD BUSINESS!

From start to finish Groves Glass Co has ezceeded my expectations by responding efficiently, being flexible, and following up. Jim and his crew are professional, friendly, knowledgeable and patient. The installation went remarkably well, the guys left zero mess behind, took great care with my kitty, locked up after they left and communicated with me the entire time. They installed 9 windows in 3 days and walked me through the energy efficiency rebate program. I will not recommend any other company for window work in this county. I also turn to Groves for property management jobs, Groves has never failed, successfully completing all jobs given, great prices, fast and friendly service. Thank you to GGC for providing stellar service in our community ...a very satisfied customer

I called Groves Glass when one of our house windows was broken. Jim Groves came to our house at the scheduled time to measure. The installer was right on time too. I was impressed that both Jim and the installer took off their shoes before entering our carpeted interior and both work COVID masks. The work was done quickly and the cost was more than fair.

Groves and Co. are professional, helpful and have a fast turnaround. I needed a piece of Plexiglass, cut and four holes drilled. I took my template plus sample bolt for hole measurement, and the work was accomplished quickly and accurately.

Tracked dirt and mud all over inside my house ( evan the cable people put little blue booties over their shoes no matter how maney times they go in and out of your house)when taking off old seals from Windows left the mess inside house and out side on ground.and after spending all that money for new windows I had to pull out the ladder to take off all the new screens so I could wash their dirty hand prints off all my windows inside and out.was not happy with the two men who installed all but one of my windows.

Service questions
1. Should I stay home during roof replacement?

It's not necessary to stay home during roof replacement. Roofing work is noisy and can cause vibrations inside the house, which might be uncomfortable. Most homeowners choose to leave during major parts of the project, but our team ensures safety and keeps you updated, whether you're home or not.

2. How long does roof replacement take?
+-

The timeline for a roof replacement typically ranges from one to three days, depending on the size and complexity of the roof, weather conditions, and material type. Larger or more intricate roofs may take a bit longer, but we always aim for efficient, timely completion.

3. How to hire a roofing contractor?
+-

To hire a roofing contractor, start by researching local companies with good reviews and proper licensing. Request quotes from multiple contractors, verify their insurance and certifications, and ask for references. Always ensure you get a written contract that outlines the scope of work, timeline, and payment terms.

4. How to check if a roofing company is legit?
+-

Check if a roofing company is legit by verifying their business license, insurance, and local certifications. Look for memberships in professional associations, read customer reviews, and ask for recent project references. A legitimate company will be transparent and provide all documentation upon request.

5. How to choose a roofing company?
+-

When choosing a roofing company, consider their experience, customer reviews, warranty offerings, and quality of materials. Make sure they provide clear communication, detailed estimates, and a solid portfolio of completed projects. Local expertise is also a major advantage for understanding regional roofing needs.

6. How do you know if your roofing contractor is ripping you off?
+-

Warning signs that your roofing contractor might be ripping you off include vague contracts, pressure to pay large upfront deposits, lack of proper documentation, and unexplained price increases. Always ask for itemized estimates and written guarantees, and avoid contractors who avoid answering your questions directly.
