My roof had green stain/green algae that needed to be pressured clean. I was a bit worried that the green algae and dirt wouldn't come off, but as you can see, they were completely gone after the work was completed. Look at the before and after pictures. Great job. Also, I quoted around with other roofing companies and they were charging a lot more than GreenCal. I'm glad there are still honest folks and Companies out there who's not out there to take advantage of people by overpricing/over-charging their clients. Greencal just tarped some roofs for an HOA that I manage. Even though it is a busy time of year (rain), Greencal was able to make time to get the roofs tarped in a timely fashion. Hazel is the go-to-person at Greencal. She isn't great at returning emails, but she gets back to texts right away. Hazel coordinated the tarping of the roofs.

As a Woman-Owned Business and the best bid I received, GreenCal was my first choice. I learned a lot about my roof through the bid process and all of my questions were answered along the way. Before we started work, I got a letter from my insurance giving me a deadline for a new roof and GreenCal kept me informed each step of the process. Everyone was very patient with my near hysterical urgency. I really appreciated that. They did the work quickly and efficiently, made suggestions along the way that made sense and walked me through what happened as they uncovered layers of old roof revealing rotted wood,. Near the end, they walked through the project with me, patiently noting all the spots I felt needed a little more attention (an un-primed piece of wood here, a un-picked up piece of trash, a errant satellite dish). Yes, it's a lot of money, and it's your house! The roof is the best protection against wind, heat, weather and I know I rest easier now that it's been done properly. Megan Lee, John Serrano and the whole team with GreenCal Construction, Inc. gave us exceptional service and value providing roofing and rain gutters for our home improvement project.  This included installing both Spanish tile roofing for our new gazebo and applying a 3 ply JM APPEX modified bitumen roofing system for our new low pitch patio roof.  All interactions with GreenCal Construction were wonderful, the workmanship was great, and the work happened quickly.  I would highly recommend anyone interested in having roofing work or rain gutters installed contact GreenCal Construction for an estimate.  I believe you will have a very good experience.

Update:
We loved working with GreenCal so much that we also decided to have them give us a bid to replace our dual pane kitchen window that developed some moisture inside the panes. The bid was great and we are excited to get the work done.

WARNING: CONSIDER ANOTHER COMPANY! I was very pleased with the presentation provided by Sales Rep/Project Consultant Masoud (had 3 other estimates/proposals). Project was scheduled to start in mid July. Received a call from Operations Mgr Crystal on Friday afternoon, June 28th, reporting a cancellation with an opportunity for an early start on Jul 1st. I should have known better! Was if the rushed start or do they commonly provide a sales pitch they have no plans to deliver on... My contract called for multiple things they did NOT provide.
Examples... pre project walk thru/inspection with the assigned Project Manager (Juan), covering A/C condenser to protect from falling debris, gutter guards, clearing debris daily, wood inspection prior to start of roof install, 50 year GAF manufacturer's warranty certificate upon completion of installation. This is a partial list! I am still waiting for Project Manager Juan to complete the wood repair he started AFTER the roof was completed on July 3, 2024. Project Consultant Masoud no longer returns calls, too many negatives to list about Project Manager Juan requested call from the owner, Hazel Serrano weeks ago, no call. According to GAF (roofing system manufacturer), Greencal did NOT submit warranty registration per my contract.
I could go on and on. If my project is an indicator of the service Greencal Construction might provide consider this a warning. Will update after the rainy season begins, hopefully the roof won't leak.

Greencal replaced my roof. Got a bunch of quotes from different companies. Greencal was the most professional. The estimate included everything the scope of the work itemized the materials used all insurance an license info. The communication could a have been a little better. there was a delay in starting due to the city backlogged with permits. i had to call a few times to check the status but once they started it was on. Quoted me a week and a half and finished in 3 days. My biggest complaint is that they forgot to tell me they were done! I also like that the company is female owned.

The staff working at GreenCal can really be trusted. They are true to their words from start to finish. I will definitely recommend them to others.

They performed a thorough roof inspection and recertification. John was kind and friendly throughout the process. As a real estate agent, I highly recommend GreenCal Construction.

We were very satisfied with the workmanship. The end result turned out to be very good and pleasant to the eye. I'm deducting one star because they missed their scheduled appointment a few times, and because we keep finding random nails on the ground. Nevertheless, we do recommend them.

Quite possibly the worst experience with a construction project ever. Flakey, not responsive and a project that should have taken a week or so took over 2 months. Workers would come once every 7-10 days, say they were coming and not show and we were lied to regularly. Took about 2 months to complete the roof. The workers also brought a child into our property regularly. Awful experience

Incredibly thorough, kind, professional, honest and exceptional customer service! Greencal’s entire team from Hazel, Crystal, and Eddie to all of the crews you are in great hands. They did a beautiful job refinishing and sealing stucco around our house and repainted as well as sealing tough spots that were prone to leaks in the past. During the most recent heavy storms the house held up perfectly!

We will be using Greencal for many other projects in the future.

We were really happy with the finished look of our house. We would give 4.5 stars for quality and the quickness of the work. There were just a few little things that weren't ideal, like one staff who made us feel uncomfortable while giving us the estimate, or the way they tended to mainly address my husband even though I was the one handling all phone calls, texts, and payment. There is also some paper taped to the roof that we didn't notice at the time of the final inspection, but it's still flapping in the wind right now. Overall, I would still recommend this company.

We used first used GreenCal to replace the roof on my parent’s house. The team did such a great job we hired them to reroof our cabin in the mountains. Up next will be a reroof of our own home. They performed all the work as promised, and took care of everything.

Love my new windows, the installers did a great job! They where very professional, neat and quick. I definitely would recommend GreenCal for any type of work!

Very happy I had them do my house stucco and paint. They were always on time and did exactly what they said they would. My house had some areas where the stucco had to be re done and they did a beautiful job blending the new stucco pattern with the old. Easy to work with and quality results.

Super amazing company. Their work comes with a warranty if the do the whole job. They fix wood damage perfectly. They’re super clean and even take a magnetizer to clean up nails. They lean towards doing more work to make sure their work will last.

I mentioned that there was an oil stain and they’re going to power wash the floor no problem.

They’re an absolute joy to work with and feel very lucky that I meet them!

I have nothing but good things to say about GreenCal Construction. I needed to fix a leak in my roof and it just so happened that a GreenCal representative was at my neighbors home. I decided to get an estimate and a complete evaluation was done. Rod took photos of my roof and recorded a video of just how bad the condition of my roof was.

I decided to hire GreenCal to replace my roof entirely. I was given a thorough explanation on the process of replacing my roof as well as making some necessary upgrades to improve the overall all condition of my home (specifically ventilation). It appears that the previous owner of my home had replaced the roof himself and had done a terrible job.

One of the things that stood out the most was that GreenCal was in constant communication with me about what was happening and how the process was coming along. They also kept true to their time line of when the job would be completed.

I am absolutely happy with my new roof.

GreenCal did my roof. Everything went smoothly except for the additional charges to replace bad wood. I wish they would have let me know earlier.
However, I would use them again. The roof looks good. They even came back without issue to clean up debris in garage.

I would not recommend this company.

To begin with, they did the tear down at the end of the week, and on Sunday night it rained, with no roof on the house and no cover. Water entered the attic space, wetting the rafters, insulation and did cause some cracks in the ceiling.

By the time a representative from the company showed up on Monday, it was already the afternoon, so everything was already dried up; they tried to make it seem like it was not a big deal.

They said there was no rain in the forecast, hence the reason they did not cover the house (I would think they would cover it no matter what since it was the weekend to protect it from whatever weather elements).

A worker did patch up the cracks in the ceiling and repaired one rafter, but took a lot of back and forth since they were trying not to accept responsibility for the rain damage.

The workers did not do a great job on the roof. The company had to send other workers to fix mistakes, and even they did not do it right.

They had to remove shingles to replace boards on the roof, and used the same shingles again. Now those shingles had holes from the nails from the first time they were nailed down.

It rained again that night and water leaked through. Those shingles they took off and re-nailed had to be replaced with brand new ones.

The clean up was not great either. Nails were found around the house (picture) even though they were supposed to go through with an industrial magnet.

The attic space was littered with debris and that took some back and forth for them to clean up, and even then it was not fully cleaned.

There was some damage done when workers were entering the attic space through the ceiling entrance (picture). I was told they would repair it, but in the end it, it still remains as seen in the picture.

When it came to sign off on the work, all these issues were brought up, they kept saying they went above and beyond (only to an extent; when they patched up cracks in the ceiling and fixed one rafter, after that, not so much).

The two company representatives who were there with the paperwork were not happy, I could see they were frustrated and just wanted me to sign off so they could get paid (they actually did tell me that, sign off so we can get paid).

In the end they did mark down the price on the total cost of the roof. It did save me money, but was it worth all the hassle and time? No, I would have paid the original amount if everything was done right from the beginning.

As a new home owner, working with Green Cal over the years have taken the stress of taking care of a home off my shoulders. They show up on time ready to hear my needs and ready to work with my budget( the best part). Since 2010 I've been and will continue to be a loyal customer.
