Chuck did the inspection on a prospective home we were buying, He was amazing. He was very thorough in his inspection, he was already there working an hour before we arrived. He left no stone unturned, he even looked in every corner of the crawl space which we were very thankful for as issues needed to be addressed. I feel more confident in purchasing the home knowing Chuck did the inspection. He took time to address our concerns and answer any questions we had. He was in constant motion for 4 hours, his report was delivered to us within hours of completion. We highly recommend him!

I was 10 minutes late, oops. When I did arrive, I learned that Chuck had already inspected the roof (his ladder was setup on the rear of the home), he had inspected the foundation, the driveway, the water lines into the house, and the porch. By the time I arrived, he was updating me on his findings while taking me on an informative walk. I was blown away with how much I learned in so little time. Updated Review: Another offer, another inspection, another visit with Chuck. Once again we used Chuck's services and I am every bit impressed with him as I was the first time we worked with him. He took his time and combed through the house. The seller didn't know the age of the HVAC system and he took the time to find, dust off, and look up the serial numbers so we know how old it is.

Inspectors aren't magic. They can't foresee the future and they can't rip out walls to inspect the studs, but they do have tools and knowledge to assess a house. Thanks to Chuck's work, we'll be moving forward on this house with confidence.

Previous Review: So glad we found Chuck! We just finished a home inspection with him and I'm so happy that our realtor recommended him. He was incredibly detailed in his work. He checked everywhere and everything. This was not a quick process and that's exactly what I want in an inspection. He answered questions and listened to concerns.

We did a radon test and he brought Bruce to do that. Both of them were wonderful professionals.

We're not getting this particular house, but we will be using Chuck and Bruce in the future.

Chuck went above and beyond with the inspection of a historic log cabin we are purchasing. Not only did he carryout our inspection, but he also brought an associate who is an expert in log cabins (with no additional expense to us despite an added expense on his part). He was friendly, thorough, and he took the time to walk us through all of his findings. He recommended additional resources (a structural engineer - shout out to Syed Qamer) when he thought we needed more information about our foundation. This potentially saved us thousands of dollars. I would highly recommend Granite Home Inspections to anyone. Chuck was very professional and thorough, and clearly stated what he could and could not do regarding the home inspection. He has a very sharp eye and was able to point out things that I never would have noticed. I was provided with a detailed written report of the inspection within 24 hours, and on the basis of this report, I was able to negotiate an additional $3,000 price reduction from the seller. Chuck has performed 2 home inspections for us. Both times the inspections have been thorough and detailed. For the first one, we could not be present for the inspection. Chuck was readily available for phone calls and clear explanations for any questions we had. For the second inspection, we were present. Chuck walked us around the property and explained his reasoning behind everything he felt was note-worthy, including possible solutions to the issues/potential issues. Chuck cannot remove drywall to see issues inside walls or flooring etc. he doesn’t worry about purely cosmetic issues. He clearly states this during the inspection. We are very happy with his services!

We were so pleased with Granite Home Inspections. First, our home inspection was able to be scheduled in a timely manner, within a few days upon request. The inspector was prompt, on time, and considerate; he even thought to bring chairs to sit on at the vacant home for our comfort. As first time home buyers, we didn't have a lot of knowledge on the process and the inspection with Chuck was very thorough and helpful. He gave us a lot of great information on things to look out for in the future and helpful explanations of existing issues that needed to be taken care of. He was there early getting down and dirty in the crawlspace and he will even take an unplanned shower in his clothes if that's what it takes to test the water in a very poorly designed bathroom. I also personally like a good sense of humor and he had that as well. It is a stressful process for first time buyers and his professionalism and candor was appreciated.

I found out that the inspector marked a lot of items as satisfactory during our inspection when in actuality they were poor and need to be replaced. One year later, we are now facing $10,000 in structural damage and repairs all because of something that home-owners knew about and covered up. I wished that Granite Homes had caught this as it would have been an easy catch and we would have never bought this house. My husband and I do not recommend Granite Homes LLC. Get someone who is younger and willing to get dirty and go above and beyond for your inspection or else you might be stuck with someone else's negligence.

I'm currently purchasing my first home and Granite Home Inspections came highly recommended. It's great to see a company go to the levels that Chuck does to ensure his customers are happy with the results of his work. He went above and beyond to provide me with as much information as he can based on his years of experience in the field. For instance, how to reset my sump pump and when. People typically don't take the time or go into the details on things like that. You can tell he legitimately cares about his customers and wants to help them. That goes a long way in this industry. I was very pleased and have I ever the need again, I know where I will be going!
