These guys did an awesome job on my roof repair. Would definitely call them again. Was happy I found them. Highly recommended!

Jake seemed prompt and professional up front, but as the project progressed we saw problems. They installed a transition piece incorrectly and during a storm last summer mid way through the project they had left for the weekend (with rain in the forecast) and we started having water leaking into our dining room. Then, upon “completion” of the project we did a walk around and noticed that the snow breaks were all visibly crooked on the roof! Screwed on at a slant as if no one on the crew possesses a tape measure. Then we noticed the little decorative roof on our bump-out in the kitchen was done off-center and one side does not match the other. My uncle (former roofer) came to look and found issue after issue and ultimately said that overall he’s not sure that an actual roofing company could’ve installed our roof. With his help we wrote up a list and sent to Jake at Golden Heart Roofing. He agreed to repair and even sent us a more formal write-up via email which we said looked good. And that’s the last we ever heard from Jake or anyone at Golden Heart Roofing… they never came back to fix their mistakes and they never came back for the other half of their payment either. So I guess ultimately we paid for half of a roof, and that’s about the work we got. Jake, if you read this: Come back this spring and fix everything and I’ll take down this review and pay the rest we owe you. Otherwise you may see this review popping up on other local pages and websites in the Fairbanks area. Next time don’t take on a project more complicated than your crew can handle. We waited months to speak out hoping that you would come back and do what’s right. Unfortunately it seems you struggle with ethical issues as well as gambrel roofs.

No, unfortunately this review isn’t a mistake. You did a roof and gutter job on our home summer of 2020. While I’m pleased with the roof, the gutter job earned the one-star review. The gutters leaked constantly after your crew installed them and portions were put on upside down and backwards. When we told you about it, you said the gutters were as good as they were going to get because they were cheap from the beginning. You also didn’t install the end caps because you said everyone in town was out of stock.
The gutter job was going to fail our inspection so my husband had to fix every inch of them himself (they don’t leak at all now) and he walked into Home Depot and purchased the end caps you said were out of stock.
