Get Dwell

Needed a small roof repair as the sale of my house was just 2 weeks away. Get Dwell coordinated a contractor to come out in just days and they did a superb job of fixing the problem. Would definitely use the service again for anything else home-related.

Get Dwell was really great to work with on our front door project. Gabriel was absolutely amazing! His attention to detail and overall care he put into his work really showed. He was able to fix our 100+ year old door and make it look like new. We will definitely use Get Dwell for our next project!

I'm very pleased with the carpentry job that Get Dwell's worker did. The job was to replace a pressboard under the kitchen sink which had gotten all swollen and there was a moldy smell from water leakage. The carpenter did a beautiful job replacing the pressboard with real wood and the finishing was clean and neat around the edges and the areas where he had to fit around two pipes. I would use Get Dwell's services again and highly recommend them.

James came to our home earlier this week and was so awesome to work with - he was approachable, understanding and very thorough, keeping our best interests in mind. The project manager confirmed arrival time, arrived on time, and completed a wide variety of household repairs and upgrades efficiently. He replaced two light fixtures with new ones, securely installed a grab bar and a new towel bar, fixed a window that was stuck partially open, and more. He was polite, cleaned up after each project, and will definitely be on my list of go-to people for random home repairs.

I have a 100+ year old home in the Oak Park historic district. I needed to have extensive repair work to rotted wood and stucco damage on three sides of my house. The wood work that had to be repaired is ornate curved pieces imbedded in the façade stucco. It was very important to me that the repair would exactly duplicate the original look of the house. It clearly needed master craftsman to do this work. Get Dwell provided the master carpenter to duplicate exactly what had been in place, they provided the master stucco work to blend in the repair so that the completed work has left the house in all it's original glory. All the repair work was expertly painted to match the existing colors of the house. Throughout the project Get Dwell kept me completely informed of the progress of the work and the extent of the repairs necessary to do the job right. Get Dwell is clearly a team of master crafts people who take great pride in their work. I highly recommend them for any repairs or construction you might need on your home

Yuriy showed up exactly on time and completed a project for which I had to purchase more equipment. He finished the job perfectly and efficiently. He explained how to use some of the equipment he installed. I recommend him and the team highly.

Kitchen cabinet required trimming in order to house a replacement built-in appliance. Mario did an amazing job by trimming 3/8 of an inch on one side and a 1/2 inch on the other side to have it flush with the cabinet wall.

Overall very happy with Get Dwell. It was a little difficult to get in touch with them at the start, but after that Rocky did a nice job at the house. They removed an old wood paneled wall and replaced with drywall and also replaced a front door that was all jacked up. Highly recommend!

We have used Dwell several times and have always been impressed by their professionalism. Yesterday I had a carpentry issue and was fortunate enough to have Lane Roberts fix the problem. He was very courteous and most helpful. I believe their pricing is reasonable and I can easily recommend them.

No reply to my online request for service for several days so I called. Dwell scheduled plumber for over 2 weeks out, and I confirmed by email. Now sitting at home and no plumber has showed at 10:30am for the 9am appointment. Calls to Dwell for update have gone unanswered. Don't know if this is typical, but certainly a very bad first experience with Dwell for me. Will see if I get a call back and report back.

This is the 2nd time we've had GetDwell take care of a fix it job in our house. The first time was in the Fall of 2017 and I was so impressed with the work they did to repair damage from a water leak. They were reliable and professional, responsive to phone calls, showed up on time and did a great job replacing drywall and a light fixture and painting to finish the repair. So when we had a few more issues to take care of we called again and same great service and quality. In the Fall, Rocky was our project manager. In the past month, Bill Egger was our guy. He had to think about how to keep our microwave from gathering frost, the result of poor building 15 years ago when our house was built. He figured it out and got it fixed so our kitchen isn't freezing and the inside of our microwave isn't a snowball. He fixed an elbow on a gutter, replaced a bathroom sink drain part and reinstalled a poorly supported fireplace. GetDwell has given us trust and comfort in the home repair industry. Get Dwell staff helped to resolve an issue with my wayward storm door delivery. Then Giovanni and Rocky followed through with the pick up, delivery and installation of the door at my home. I greatly appreciated the teamwork displayed by these two men. While Rocky later was to move on to another assignment, Giovanni was there spending the three hours that were required to complete the job. This very knowledgeable technician took the time to do a good job and as well explain the work where needed and to answer any of my questions. I will highly recommend Get Dwell to family and friends.

I am a first-time client of GetDwell, a construction company r housed in Winnetka, Illinois.Brian and John handled the construction of a closet space that would allow me better access for storage, , and also allow maintenance better access to building equipment .

They were both reliable, pleasant, and capable in all endeavors involved with the accomplishment of the goals we had discussed and agreed upon.

Most impressive and thorough was John's clean-up at the end of each day's work. Nothing was left for me to be concerned about.

John was also patient and uncomplaining in changing a work area when the building required it due to their unexpected facility use for a move-out.
