Mike and Jack were very helpful to go over the damages and list all necessary work based on the observation on damages. Very happy working with them.

I had a toilet overflow in my upstairs tenants bathroom that damaged the ceiling in my bathroom and dining room 3 weeks before I was set to host a big party. I was in a panic to get it dealt with on time. After performing the mitigation with dehumidifiers, ServPro claimed they could perform the reconstuction but completely ignored my calls and pleas for urgency. My insurance company hooked me up with First Priority and it was a wonderful experience. They acknowledged my timeline and put special effort into expediting the entire process of insurance approvals and getting the drywall installed and painted before the party. I owe a huge thank you to Mike, Anthony, and Kristin, who all worked on my case.

After pretty major water damage to my basement, First Priority was recommended to me. I’m so glad I chose them. They made the process easy, they kept everything moving and kept me informed, they were professional and punctual and did an outstanding job every step of the way. Lou Falco, the project manager consistently went above and beyond with his communication and making sure everything was completed to perfection. I would definitely use this company again and have already recommended them to friends.

We had a house fire in June 2023. Lou and his crew were great about getting my house in order. My house looks just like it did before the fire. The electrical crew did an amazing job as did the plumber. Everything is exactly as I wanted. Communication was excellent! I would recommend this company wholeheartedly.

This company does horrible work they have workers who they can’t even communicate with they have to use google translate for any communication, the “formen” is a young kid who knows nothing about construction, all of the work they do doesn’t meet codes. They cut corners and only take pictures of 1 or 2 things done right. To show the engineering who is supposed to be there inspector but has never been on the property. They cover up rooting wood or wood destroyed by termites. They re use old insulation that has been in the home for decades with mold. They are dirty and careless.

Amazing company! First, please disregard all bad reviews as First Priority is under new leadership! This restoration company earns an A+ after they took 110% care of our flooded basement... from communication to workmanship, from dependability to cost. We had standing water in our basement for 2-3 weeks and the mold was everywhere. Connor and his team did everything to keep us safe: air cleaners, dehumidifiers, applied mold barrier spray, and more, immediately after our first contact with First Priority, while waiting on insurance. A very detailed, itemized estimate with photos was promptly submitted to insurance. Our insurance adjuster raved about Connor's comprehensive report as well as his communication which ensured a smooth and coordinated restoration. Moving forward, Connor and his team went above and beyond during the entire process of removal of mold affected items, demolition, and mitigation, all the while showing great compassion for our loss. Connor maintained constant, informative communication with us. Even after mitigation day, Connor and his needed crew returned multiple times to check on equipment and to follow up on how the basement was looking. What was devastation when our flooded basement was discovered is now peace of mind that we are safe and the space is cleaner than it has been in years. We highly recommend First Priority and Connor Lesiak, a true restoration expert.

When I had a massive water rupture under my kitchen sink, I called First Priority Restoration. They answered my call immediately, even though it was the weekend, and the man who answered was gracious and got help to my house promptly. The men who came to help us mitigate the damage of the water listened to us well, treated us with dignity and respect and immediately got to work drying out our house. In two days (48 hours) their work was done and we have our house back today. Their work was professional and effective. They did not gouge us in our emergency situation but treated us fairly and gave us a fair price. I highly recommend First Priority Restoration if you have an emergency situation and need help.

Awful experience. This company does not care about the quality of their work or about their customer experience, only about the money they receive. Had to push and push for anything to get done. When the work was complete, it was done wrong. When I brought it up to the COO he kept insisting "we did work, we deserve money". Perhaps this company is good for emergency services, but I would not trust them in normal contractor work.

If I could give this place 0 stars I would. First priority? How about last priority! They will suck you in then give you the worst quality job imaginable, then take all your money! Stay far away from these people! I have never ever written a review on any business but these people are crooks who hire people who have no idea what they're doing!

Do not use this company! My house was struck by a tornado in July of 2023. I chose First Priority to do my repairs and it was the biggest mistake. I had to pay 75% up front and sign a contract. From day 1 they were horrible about sending any kind of communication about the progress of my repairs. I would have to email or call them about getting the work done. They always had an excuse, my insurance company was not cooperating, the weather was bad or they needed to talk to someone else. Then weeks went by and I would email them again, I learned early on to email instead of call just so I would have everything on paper. Finally after 5 months I got a new roof. A month later they did some interior repairs, which I never should of had in the first place but First Priority failed to tarp a deep hole in my roof, and now every time it rained outside it also rained in my house. The tradesman that First Priority hires do very subpar work and created more problems for me than I originally had. From January until April nothing was done and it was the same lame excuses over and over again. So after 9 months I had to hire a lawyer and file a complaint with the Illinois Attorney General Fraud Department. All of a sudden First Priority was ready to complete my repairs, but at that time I just wanted out of my contract. I did get out of the contract, still having to pay them additional money. If you took into account all the time and effort I put into trying to get this work done, they should of paid me! First Priority has the worse customer service of any company I have ever dealt with and they don’t care! I have since learned that I am not the only person that has had the same issues with this company.

Have been having issues getting the work completed, they over promise and under delivering, they have been dragging the repairs for almost a year, not taking care of the property, failed to winterize now having issues with bursted water pipes and mildew. They had issues getting their proposed updates approved by the city officials . Just staging their feet

One of their employees backed into my car while at a stop light, a green light, in a company truck (with a back up camera). we exchanged info and management was supposed to get in touch with me to handle getting repairs handled. went and got the estimates done to my car, 3 grand of damages with original estimates and submitted to the manager who reached out.

this happened back in May, and its now mid November and they still wont provide their insurance provider, wont answer emails, give me any kind of update on getting my car repaired.

I never post reviews anywhere, but this has been a real scummy move for a company to do especially when looking at the situation.

had a confrontation with one of their service men at a Shell gas station in South Elgin. I'm driving a F450 with a 20 foot trailer behind it. I was parked at the first pump only because three of the diesel pumps do not work properly at this gas station, which I'm quite aware of, I have reported it to the attendance numerous times, and they basically blame it on Shell.
This service guy tried to back into my truck intentionally. Since I was blocking the pathway that he was in capable of figuring out how to use a different pump he decided that he was different pump he decided that he was going to disrupt my driving ability of leaving.
It got slightly heat it up, he started taking all kinds of pictures of my truck and my trailer. He was using profanity and did flip me off. I started the conversation immediately saying
"really you're gonna block me from leaving".
I did get out and take several pictures of his truck and called his shop to report his conduct in real time as this was happening. The receptionist took my information down, and I explain the my information down, and I explain the circumstances to her that her driver was extremely rude and

The project manager, Alan Yasdick, was exceptional—very thorough, professional, accommodating and on top of the workers. He also was great at coordinating with our insurance company and communicating with us. The workers were great—diligent, respectful, good work and corrected when needed. We are very pleased with the completed project and grateful for the opportunity to work with First Priority. They lived up to their name with us!

Communication was poor, had to follow up several times before getting a response throughout the entire project. Got the run around every time I had a question.

Many times throughout the project we had approved items for order just to find out a week or two later the items were never ordered.

Many construction messes left behind for me to cleanup after the project was done.

Very professional. Did a great job with flood repairs. Got the job in a timely matter and treated me with respect. They were willing to work with me to meet my needs.

I have been beyond thankful for the work First Priority Restoration performed after a pipe broke flooding my basement. First Priority was at my house quickly despite my call coming in after normal work hours. The staff was helpful and attentive, and I especially appreciate Ivan for treating this job at my house as he would treat the situation if it happened in his own home. I cannot recommend this place highly enough!

The team at First Priority was professional and responsive to our needs after a fire in the garage. The job ended up being much bigger than I would have thought and they handled communications and tasks in a timely manner and with compassion. I would recommend them to anyone who needs similar assistance in the future.

I had a house fire and DKI came out that night and started talking me through the process. They handled everything from insurance to storing my stuff ,cleanup to demolition to a full remodel. The house is gorgeous and John was so great to work with. All this one week after the pandemic lockdown began.

My mom’s house had water damage from the bathroom that extended to a bedroom and the finished basement below it. Rob was with us every step of the way to get her home back in order. He even helped us navigate our insurance claim. He helped us find a great match to the existing carpet that was ruined and even worked with us to have a few upgrades on the bathroom floor and finishes in the basement. The workers were always courteous and prompt. We couldn’t be happier with the end result and would definitely recommend First Priority Restoration for work in any home.

On 6/1 we had a house fire which demolished the attached garage and did severe smoke damage to the rest of the house. First Priority responded to our 1-800-BOARDUP call and skillfully walked us through the aftermath process while we were still raw, TJ in particular. Everything they have done so far, from board-up to mitigation, has been done with an exemplary level of professionalism and quality, with careful attention to what was important to me and my family. Specifically, two of the onsite crew - Danni and Matt - have been wonderful, going way "above and beyond" in helping us. We intend to continue using First Priority for the rest of the demolition and restoration.

Excellent communication and all personnel involved were very responsive each interaction. The pricing was reasonable and the work performed is excellent. They repaired a sizable chunk of ceiling due to a water leak. It looks better than it did before it was damaged. I recommend them and would use them again.

I was responsible for house sitting for a friend of mine when we recieved 15" of rain in three days. This disaster created a basement flooding event which needed to be mitigated promptly.
I called T.J. at DKI (First Priority) who responded within a half hour and had people on the job within 3 hours. Mitigation and drying took place in a prompt time frame. They also provided my friend with a qualified estimate for the repairs. I would highly recommend them for their mitigation services.
