Carlos didnt want to call 811 to accept responsibility fio digging under his name.I didnt receive an actual contract to sign (only a. Bid) so there was a lack of communication. I had to rent a front loader to tear out old driveway and pay for the concrete up front and $3000 over 2 days. I thought I would just pay him the $2500 and then a final check at end of job. He did have in the quote to pay $2500 up front. He didnt have a saw or hose and all the boards for framing driveway. .His crew argued between themselves constantly. The driveway was poured on an extremely hot day. They weren't ready for the first concrete truck which backed up the 2 other trucks. The last load of concrete, for final 2 pads, got hot. I didnt want that concrete to be used but Karlos told me it would be fine. The last 2 pads look like shattered glass with long stress cracks everywhere. He told me that is nornal. The other pads didnt Crack as badly. I feel the concrete was poured to dry. Karlos said he wanted me to be happy, but theonly way to fix would be tear up and redo. I wasn't paying for that and he didnt offer. Very disappointed paying $12.3k for a cracked driveway before we even got to use it! Carlos was nice but I wouldn't recommend using him without a guarantee and contract and copy of his insurance and certification.
