I recently had my driveway resurfaced also my brick walkway repointed by John and his crew. The work was done professionally and John was very responsive in answering my question. I am completely happy with the craftsmanship of the work performed.

We have lived in our house for 40 years. For the past 5 years or so, we have wanted to replace our front steps and retaining wall. We had at least 5 different firms look at the project, none of which came up with anything creative. In fact, every firm recommended keeping our crooked front steps just as they were. On a neighbor’s recommendation, we contacted John Kattwinkle of Fairfax Contractors. John came up with a sterling design that not only solved problems for us but did so with style. As construction was underway, John made suggestions that improved on the aesthetic of the original design. The professionalism of Esteban and his production crew was impressive. They worked incredibly hard but with diligence and care. John was there all the way giving us his time and expert counsel: stone selections, tread selections, mortar, railings, lighting, etc. Even when the project was essentially done, John went above and beyond to meet us at a local nursery to help make plant and shrub selections. He also found a way to get our driveway done at a significantly reduced cost—a project we had decided to delay. The experience has been, in a word, stellar.

Fairfax Contractors (Foley Companies-651 River Bend Rd). This is a UN-Solicited Review. Absolutely OUTSTANDING!!! The Owner (Kyle Foley) and our PM (Casey Foster) were easy to work with. Some words that that come to mind: Professional, Customer Oriented, Knowledgeable and Quality workmanship!!!

We were very pleased with the work done by Fairfax Contractors. In fact, we hired them a second time after they did really excellent work repairing a crack in a foundation wall - which involved digging outside down to the footer to repair from the outside, after repairing the crack from the inside.
The project manager, Casey Foster, was great to deal with. He was very responsive to texts and phone calls, and prepared detailed, well written proposals. The crew, Rosendo and Brian and Mark, worked very hard, even when the weather was very hot or very cold. And they cleaned up well when the jobs were finished.

We would not hesitate to hire Fairfax Contractors again.

I do not recommend Fairfax Contractor to others and will not look to them in the future. I hired them to do three unique tasks; raise a semi-attached shed, remove and replace a carport ceiling, and install an under deck system (product name withheld).

From the date of signing the contract, it took them two months plus and none of the tasks were completed.

The carport ceiling - the carpenters and painters neglected to reinstall the trim and did not caulk any of the gaps. After repeatedly mentioning the incomplete work to them, they sent the team back out to install the trim doing a job I could have done myself. Mind you, I hired professions. The trim looks horrible and this morning I completed 75% of the caulk work myself. The owners/manager mentioned that this is punch out work, the only thing that got punched was my wallet.

Semi attached carport - this was the main reason I contacted the company. Once again, I had to badger them to complete the work requested. Although they did a proper job of installing new post supports (very good), I had to convince them to completely level the shed which was the MAIN reason I contacted them. When the shed entrance door was out of alignment needing to have the entrance re-framed, they offered a scope change and modification that was near half of the cost of completing the original task. Needless to say, I re-positioned the door to alleviate the gap causing the door to not close correctly (cost to me - 2 hours of time and a tube of caulk).

Under deck system - again, could have done myself but wanted a professional. End results is that the gutter system installed does not capture water, the installation crew left un-needed materials installed, and the time frame to complete the work was tedious.

Another issue I experienced with Fairfax Contractor is that everytime I mentioned a requirement that was discussed when establishing the contract the owner/manager would IMMEDIATELY default to mentioning a scope change/modification and wanted to change extra.

EVERY TIME!

Past customers may have a different experience, but I would give this company no more than 2 stars or a C- grade. I will not use them again. Any additional work that needs to be done I will do myself or hire another contractor in the area.

Renzo reached out to me on a FB community group post when I was looking for someone to do demo on a basement and bath. He made the process really easy. Got a quote. Price was very reasonable. Quick turnaround time. I was on the schedule within a couple days after I got the proposal. Guys showed up on time and did excellent work. Great prep and clean up. We had been looking for a professional contractor to rebuild a retaining wall around our pool. The wooden wall that we had at the time was showing signs of rotting in several areas and we wanted to have something different built in its place.
We talked to several contractors and after several weeks of consideration we chose Fairfax Contractors. They were our first interview and by far were the most professional and knowledgeable of them all. Several different options were discussed and the segmental block wall worked best for us.
The crew was always on time every single day. They even came out on a Saturday to keep things moving along and were able to finish ahead of schedule and on budget. They cleaned up the job site every day and did an amazing job throughout the building process. The craftmanship and attention to detail was amazing. We are very pleased with the finished product and show it off to neighbors and friends all the time. Fairfax Contractors will be our go to contractor for several other outdoor and indoor projects that are in our future. From day one, we were very impressed with them and highly recommend them to anyone needing a general contractor. The price we got was not only fair, it was by far the best we were quoted by all others.

Fairfax Contractors assisted our organization with installing concrete steps and metal safety railing. Their workmanship was excellent, timely, and well priced. They used quality materials and operated professionally throughout the process from beginning to end.

Casey and his team of hardworking individuals replaced a brick facade on the front of our house and repaired voids in our garage due to settlement. From start to finish, Casey kept us updated step by step with photos and video along the way. We were weary of working with a construction company due to horror stories we have heard of with other companies (long delays, added on costs, poor workmanship...) but we experienced quite the opposite. We could not be more pleased with the process, communication, organization, and thoroughness that Fairfax Contractor/Foley Homes displayed. Kyle Foley was also very helpful when the project was taking longer than expected and he was quick to remedy the situation. This is an honest business that truly cares about meeting their clients expectations. I would not hesitate to hire them again for future needs. Casey Foster and Kyle Foley did an amazing job. Casey led a crew of several people to do a massive project of reconstructing our basement after a major flood. His team also pointed out several other potential issues and proactively found solutions to address them and prevent further water damage, giving us an excellent price on the additional work. He was also very patient in explaining every step that they did. We are very pleased with Casey's work and would be happy to work with Fairfax Contractor again on future projects.

This review is a bit late but when I decided to reach out to FC to get a bid on a kitchen, I decided to write a review on work I had done in the past. Fairfax Ctrs built a beautiful front stoop for me in the winter of 2021. Besides permitting delays with Arlington County (only about a month) everything went off very smoothly. Beginning with Marc M, the salesman giving great advice on how the porch should be done, my original idea to keep the existing footprint was not good enough for Marc, even though it would require more work and permits, he helped design the front stoop I have today. This front entrance is to this day my wife and my favorite part of the house. Even with the permitting delays, the team was always responsive and kept me abreast of updates and changes. I'm getting an estimate on a kitchen tomorrow and I hope we can work together again in the future.

We used Fairfax Contractors to resurface our front stairs and driveway. They also did an excellent job refurbishing the existing wrought iron railings. The workmanship was fantastic and the crew was professional and diligent. I would highly recommend them for any of your home building or smaller construction needs. Well done!

Impressed with outcome of the job being better than I expected. I was doing the new walkway and steps for functionality and ended up with a job that was esthetically pleasing as well. All employees I came in contact with seemed to be invested in how the job was being done and the outcome.

I called Fairfax contractors to get an estimate for a vanity and faucet install. Instead they referred me to another plumber named "Glen Eccleston" who was working for them. I decided to hire this guy thinking he is an expert plumber even though his price was much higher than other estimates.
This turned out to be huge mistake. He brought a guy to do a small tile install which was horrible. I (customer) had to tell him to switch the sink because holes were not aligned with faucet. After installation, there were several leaks and he to came back twice to fix it. The leaks continued on and on the third time he was supposed to come he never showed up and his phone
was out of service. The project turns out to be very bad with lots of headache! I would not recommend this plumber or this company.

Fairfax Contractor was unjustly enriched by deceiving and defrauding me of my $$ on my patio project that was barely started, and uncompleted, yet Fairfax Contractor refused me a refund. Reportedly, approximately 40 others who dealt with Fairfax Contractor this past year had a somewhat similar situation. Although the final outcome for others who dealt with Fairfax Contractor remains unknown to me, perhaps others in this situation like mine will also speak out and expose Fairfax Contractor.

After getting 3 different bids I chose Fairfax Contractors. The quality of work and communication far exceeded my expectations. In this day and age, communication and managing expectations has generally been much worse, so it was an amazing upside surprise to see the care that went into my job. Specifically, I replaced my traditional interior stair banisters and railings with more modern black metal railings. The custom fabrication was extensive, and they made sure I was comfortable with the color, joint fitting, and went far above and beyond to make sure the old holes in the wood floors were properly covered for a modern/ sleek look (Photos coming). Additionally, a deck floorboard was burnt from barbecue charcoal. Since the type of board was obsolete, they had to fill with bondo and match the color with a specialized deck paint. The result was excellent. I would highly recommend Fairfax Contractors for your next home project.

Renzo and his team did a great job with my kitchen remodeling. They moved very fast and were very reasonable for the quality of work that was performed. Would highly recommend.

We had Fairfax Contractors do a bunch of work to remodel our basement and various other things throughout our very tiny Arlington duplex. With two toddlers and no extra room, time was critical and they were incredible, getting everything done in our time table and communicating throughout the process.

I originally was working with Marc as part of Fairfax Contractors before Kyle Foley and his team took over. Marc and Kyle did a great job with transitioning and explaining the project so nothing that was agreed upon got lost in translation. They both honored my deal and went above and beyond with certain aspects of my project by helping remove ivy and making sure my patio step was the way it needed to be. They also were patient and when the project ran in to any hiccups they offered several solutions and did a great job explaining the whys to someone who doesn’t do this for a living.

We would recommend Fairfax Contractor. Casey & Josh were very professional, prompt, and just a pleasure to have working in our home. Casey & Josh explained every step of the process to us & answered all our questions ~ and trust me, we had many! We trusted them to do the repairs. They gave of themselves 100%.

Used Fairfax Contractor for iron railing on front porch. Harris did an amazing job on the installation! He was very quick and it was done very early in the morning which I greatly appreciated. They were very pleasant to work with and quick with responses. On top of confirming what we did and did not want giving us lots of options and always confirming before moving forward with the build for the iron work. Casey and his crew did an outstanding job installing two basement egress windows and replacing a failed underground drain system for us. Casey was extremely good at keeping us informed of what they were doing and every member of the crew was hardworking, courteous, and capable. When they encountered an unexpected issue, Casey quickly came up with a plan to solve the problem at a reasonable price. He is very knowledgeable and experienced with foundation issues. We can unequivocally recommend Fairfax Contractors for this type of work.

Fairfax contractor was outstanding! They went above and beyond on our hard to repair aggregate driveway in Reston, VA. With a fast home sale as we move out of state, the only thing between us and the road was the driveway repair and Fairfax Contractor was the only game in town we could find that did this type of work. Great price, great people! Just down to earth people doing great things for their neighbors!!

Fairfax Contractor helped us fix our outdoor fireplace. We originally thought about taking it down because it was in such bad condition but they restored it for it. Very polite. Also cleaned up really well after the job was done. We plan on using them again for future projects!

The team (Casey, Josh and Rosendo) who did the construction were so professional, respectful and thorough. I feel as though they went above and beyond on this job. They came up with several solutions when the job threw them some curveballs. As for the gentleman who sold this job to us, he would do well to confer with the people who actually do the work first to understand full scope. He told us this would be a 3 day job. Ended up taking two weeks. Also, he gave us a quote for the egress window ($6800). Ended up that quote did not include drywall, fireproofing the wall, replacing the baseboards, prepping the wall for paint or painting. Also did not include hauling away the dirt that was dug out. After we decided to upgrade from the Bowman Kemp to the Rockwall enclosure, had them fix a crack in the foundation (not their fault) and everything it took to complete the job, all in, it was over $10K. The salesman should be as transparent as possible. There is nothing more annoying than hearing you have to pay even more to simply return the space you are having work done on back to normal. Quote the whole job.

I reached out to this company to have help with a front porch/portico. I emailed and promptly received a call the next day and the following day Marc came out. He was pleasant, we talked for over an hour about what I was looking for, he took pictures and asked me to send him any ideas I found that I liked. I sent him photos that evening, he responded with "great, this gives me an idea of what youre looking for".
Fast forward two weeks, I texted to see about estimates and what his thoughts were, and his answer was vague "well, due to covid (guess what we are ALL" dealing with Covid) I'm not sending out quotes unless we know we can take the job...WHAT??? why did you come out and even look. Again, completely understood that. Two MORE weeks and again I, the customer, have to chase him down and when I asked do I need to look elsewhere....GHOSTED!!! Wow, horrible service. Will NEVER recommend this company to anyone. It's one thing to just say, hey we can't do this right now, or hey, this job isn't big enough for us..whatever...Just be PROFESSIONAL!!

My husband and I have lived in our house for 3 years and just had a swampy backyard filled with bugs... we never used our grill and we just didn't spend a lot of time back there. Now we're excited to have a newly finished patio by Fairfax Contractor! In addition to the beautiful flagstone work they did they built in working drains to make sure the water flows out to the sewer and out of our yard! It is beautiful and we have already spent more time back there (we just have to find furniture). We're looking forward to using a fire pit and celebrating life with friends in the near future! Thanks for doing an amazing job! Would def recommend them any time.

Glenn took the time to drive out of his way to my farm that most contractors refused to do because of distance. He took the time to explain in detail the work that needed to be done calling me everyday to keep me up to date on delivery of materials and time frame of work. His son Glen Jr. was also tremendous at communicating and getting things organized. In this day and age I find this a rarity. Even though he was extremely busy he made time for me and my project. Glen’s crew worked hard long hours and did a fantastic job. I will definitely use him in the future and will refer my friends and family to him.

Thanks a whole bunch to Marc and his team for the outstanding masonry work they did for me! Friends and relatives were ecstatic with how the finished work looks. I'm looking forward to working with Fairfax Contractor again.

If I could rate “0” stars I would. After having 6 appointments set up and 47 phone calls they finally made it back to finish up the last ¼ of our job. When arriving they asked where “my tile cutter and tools” were so they could do the job. I didn’t realize I needed to provide the tools for a job I was paying them to do. After leaving behind their trash and not cleaning up the mess they made I called them to let them know how dissatisfied I was. They proceeded to tell me the owner would get in contact with me to rectify the problem, but after 6 weeks no word has been made… Save your money and go elsewhere!

Fairfax Contractors does what they say they are going to do and is creative in solving unique problems. John did several jobs in our home recently and he was amazing in the quality of his work and his ability to work around things. For example, we were replacing wrought iron balusters and the holes in the railing from the wood ones were too big. He customized a piece of molding so he could drill the holes the right size. The new piece added depth to the railing and ensured the new balusters were supported. No one would be able to tell it was an addition. Also, he was installing a glass block wall for my disabled son's bathroom. My son had taken a fall and shattered the glass shower wall (not intalled by Fairfax Contractors) that resulted in an injury. John took the time to ensure that the glass block wall was safe adding an extra supports and reinforcement. Both he and Glen were determined to ensure that no accident was going to happen with their work. I think the glass wall will actually still be standing if the house were to some how come down. :) My son feels very safe in the his bathroom again. I am already planning some additional jobs for them to do here. I highly recommend them.

Last year we had Fairfax Contractors created a patio under our deck where there was only dirt. The project transformed our back yard into a place to be enjoyed. While the workers were here I asked for an estimate on creating a porch that expanded across the front of our house where there had only been a small stoop. They removed the sidewalk that ran from the porch to the driveway, then they poured concrete widening the walkway, and adding some design curves. In addition, they removed our old asphalt driveway and poured a beautiful new concrete driveway. Many of our neighbors have complemented on the transformation and beautiful curb appeal Fairfax Contractors have created for us.
Our journey began with Marc the estimator. He was easy to talk to and was accessible when I needed to discuss something about the project with him. The Construction Leaders were Leno and Luis who directed our construction project. These two men, and the men who worked for them, were wonderful to us. Unfortunately, I don’t know all of the men’s names who worked on our 50 yrs. old home to make it look almost like new. They all worked long, hard hours on our big project to make it happen in a timely fashion. To them we are truly grateful! They went above and beyond to please us. They were gracious in listening to my suggestions to make possible changes. In addition, the men removed and transplanted some bushes that needed to be moved. Both in our back yard project, and our front yard project, Fairfax Contractors met and exceeded expectations about how any project should turn out. We would recommend them highly to anyone who is looking for a top notch, experienced contractor. Looking forward to working with them on the interior of our house!

After it rained for a few days, we had a drainage problem with our new patio (not installed by Fairfax Contractor). We had to scramble to find a solution and Glen came out quickly to assess the situation. He was very professional, knowledgeable, and eager to help us solve the issue. The next morning, Glen had his team fixing our patio with a drain and retaining wall. We are very impressed with the stonework, responsiveness, and everything was cleaned up when they were done. We highly recommend Fairfax Contractor, and we look forward to doing future home projects with them.

Fairfax Contractor provided a wonderful result on our project. It wasn't just one job, but four. It included outside stairs, patio retaining wall and repointing the chimney, Elvis and Darwin's crew exceeded our original expectations in a physically challenging location. I am extremely pleased with the final results. They worked with us to make sure the job was done right.

I would recommend. They installed a Bilco door for me. I was one of those people that thought it would be easier if bought the stuff by myself and just pay for labor but I was so so wrong. I had the hardest time finding the door and the places I did it was 10-16 weeks back ordered and the price was twice what I expected to pay. Fairfax Contactor was able to get the door in 6 weeks and even went so far that they went out and picked up the door for me in Ohio. They had it installed and completed in half the time I expected and was able to do everything for the price I thought I was just going to spend on the door. The owner was very knowledgeable and his staff was so nice even when I was highly emotional because I wanted everything to happen right away. The website was great because I found every answer I needed from the colors of the doors to the different steps that went into ithe installation. The install guys were very nice and efficient. I'm currently talking to them about redoing my patio. I can't wait to work with them in the future with doing all the upgrades I have planned on my home. This is the 1st contacting company that I actually look forward to helping with my home. If I could give them 10stars I would but I'll just settle for 5 stars for now. Glen and his people are terrific I am an investor and a Realtor. I have worked with many contractors and Glen with Fairfax Contractors deserves a Five Star Rating .Professional Knowledgeable Personable . Gary, Glen, and helpers took down a non-load bearing wall and made it look very nice. They refinished and painted the ceiling.

Thank you Glen and Devon! We had an emergency situation with our townhouse window well. Fairfax Contractors came to our aid with expediency and a cost which was reasonable. The materials needed to be custom ordered. As soon as they were available the work commenced and was completed in a day with full clean up. We certainly recommend them.

Glen did two expensive jobs for me. Didn’t finish either one. Both included it on railings around two decks. One was supposed to be powder coated and his own technician told me it was done wrong so rusted in less than a year. The other was never completed leaving dangerous and unsightly railing that are not even attached And as a result are unsafe. I have called Glen about 20 times over the last year to come and remedy. He sent a technician out last fall who acknowledged the problems and afterwards would not return my calls. I am sorely disappointed and would rate this a zero if it would let me. BEWARE!

Glen- you replied that you would get back to me and make it right, but I have still not been able to reach you and have not heard back from you. This is really unfair of you and you should honor your commitments.
WHAT IS GOING ON HERE. Are you just planning to leave me with inferior work?

We are so happy we went with Fairfax Contractor for our home’s walkway and stoop remodeling. We had other contractors come to the house for estimates and by far Fairfax Contractor offered the best price. We appreciate Glen’s honesty and industry knowledge. Glen even met us at the stone yard to select the stone design.The crew assigned to our project had years of experience in masonry. We also appreciated how the crew continuously asked for our opinion around the design and layout of the stones before laying the cement. We will definitely use them again for future home projects!

We had our portico repaired and the main issue was that the work was unsupervised. The owner did not communicate with us; we were the ones having to call to ask for updates and he was very short and rude on the phone. We were an inconvenience, not a customer. The workers on the site didn’t follow the directions on the contract and had to fix issues. Lastly, the quality of work was sloppy and they left a mess: I picked up over 20 lag bolts, nails, and screws in my yard after the work was “complete”. Although the owner said he would send someone to come out to pick up but there was nothing to clean up at that point. Additionally, the craftsmanship was poor with seams of the pvc pieces were disjointed which the owner said it would be covered up by paint but after painted, it still shows. (See pictures) Definitely do NOT recommend them - find another contractor!

This company was very quick to respond to my initial phone call. We were able to do an estimate right over the phone and they were out to my house within the week. Cory did great work repairing an iron railing for me. I used another company last year for some other rails and the difference in work is night and day. It not only looks better/cleaner at the repair spot but it feels way stronger too. The price was better than the previous company as well. I won't hesitate to call this company again for future work

I found Fairfax Contractor on their Youtube videos, and then when we needed our wrought iron railing fixed, was happy to see all of the great reviews for their work. I'm even happier to write my own great review.

First Glen (junior, not senior) responded to my request for a quote (using their website - win!) in less than an hour. He asked for some pictures and measurements and proceeded to give us a couple of ballpark quotes based on that limited information. That helped us decided what we could generally afford. He then came out and took his own measurements and wrote up the official contract, and the original quote became the price. (how often does that happen?)

I cannot say enough great things about Cory, who fixed our railing. He communicated with us throughout the process, starting with a clear description of what he was going to do and about how long it would take. He worked through some of the hottest days this year, and part of a holiday (4th of July), to get our stair railing done. Each day, when he finished for a day, he would clean the worksite and put up caution tape so our neighborhood kids wouldn't hurt themselves on the stairs or railing parts. We live in a townhouse so this would have been a definite possibility.

The work was great. I could tell how much pride Cory took in his work, as we had a relatively small job, but he still took his time and made it as perfect as he could. Thanks to Fairfax Contractor, Glen and Cory (and his two team members who's names I didn't get) for coming out to Sterling and doing an amazing job.

Had a foundation issue in my home in Mclean and called Glenn. He came out the next day--a weekend, and the following day had a crew there who did a perfect job for a very reasonable price. I then had him and his crew replace my deck and its been a real pleasure. Will only be using Glenn and his people moving forward. Great guy and great and fast work. Thank you!

I needed a retaining wall repaired that was in rough shape. Glen provided a quote that was competitive and advised what work should be done. The gentlemen who performed the work were very professional, but Glen also checked on the progress regularly. They not only repaired the wall and made it structurally sound, but also added 'weep' pipes to help with drainage, repaired the wrought-iron railing, and made it look like new. The site was completely cleaned up when the work was done, and I'm quite pleased with experience. I have other projects that require this type of expertise, and I'll definitely reach out to them again.

I engaged Fairfax Contractor to perform repair/refurbishing of the front railings outside my home. During the initial quote visit Tony and Victor provided good information as to what work was needed, and why. The expectations of when work could be scheduled was clearly communicated up front, and I was provided daily progress when the work was being done. I highly recommend them.

Glen, Santos and team from the beginning discussions of ideas for our brick paver sidewalk to laying out the plan and execution of the work were excellent to work with and thoroughly professional. Real bummed about this one. The 2 guys who came out to look at our gutters and other needed repairs were really nice and said they would send me an estimate within a few days. Two weeks went by and I sent a follow up email only to receive no response. It has been almost a month and I have not received a response or an estimate.

Victor and Evan were great fixed our front steps railing very quickly and it looks great. Patrick was also very responsive with all of our questions.

Just had some work done by Patrick from Fairfax Contractor. His estimate was lower than the other quotes I received and the work he did on my deck and bathroom was excellent. I will be using them again for future projects and would definitely recommend Patrick and Fairfax Contractor again.

We loved working directly with Ram and Glen on our new roof. Ram is a wonderful estimator, as well as a good person to talk to. Easy going and direct as well as open to showing us samples, where to look and he took his time looking at all of the details and issues with our roof. After a heavy delay through early spring with rain and weather, they finally got us booked in late May for our roof. The team was quick, efficient, clean and professional with everything. Glen (the owner) reached out to me regarding our materials being delivered, the team and any issues we had or questions. Even making sure our new fan roof was put in; which btw; works each evening as we hear it run and keep our house extra cool. The team checked our area for any nails or materials in the yard, and the team that delivered the materials made sure the truck would not damage our driveway. Glen is accessible with phone and text, as well as Ram. We are thankful we found them via Angie's List. We plan to work with them going forward with more work on and in our home. Thank you Farifax! Love our new patio! We needed work on our egress walkout due to some flooding issues and get a brick patio. My husband contacted Glenn and he responded quickly and came the very next day to do an assessment and give us a quote. A couple days later, Glenn, Santos and his guys came started working. They worked fast and efficiently. Glenn was on top of it the whole time and also gave us updates. Their costs are competitive which is definitely a plus. They did an awesome job! We won't hesitate to call them again for future projects.

We have problem with our basement entry exposed to weather and water ponding at the front entry walkway. We contacted Fairfax Contractor and Glen and his wife came the next day (which is a Saturday) to check out the site. They are very friendly, Glen is a good listener and willing to brainstorm varies options with us to come up with a solution. Our basement entry is too big for a standard Bilco door, he offered the solution to built a custom Bilco door with pressure treated wood. For the front entry, he suggested to raised the walkway with flagstone so water will not run from the yard to the entry. He offered to start the work immediately on Monday and completed the job in 2 days. I really like how fast and responsive they are to complete the job. Thanks to Gary, the carpenter, and Santos, the mason, for their awesome job.
After the job is completed, Glen and his wife came to inspect the work with us and listen to our concern. Due to the span of the custom Bilco door, we are concerned with the door going to wrap overtime with snow load building on top, he immediately offered us a solution and promise to come back to fix it. He even did a water test at the front entry to make sure the water is running away from the walk path.

Glen Izett of Fairfax Contractor helped me with an insurance claim
managed by an insurance agent that underperformed substantially on a Loss Report. My home was damaged by a defective vehicle that went through a garage door and the garage demolishing the garage door and causing further damage.
While you can't put lipstick on a pig and make it pretty, the insurance agent's effort to slap paint on the house could not restore my home either
to pre-accident conditions.
Glen izett talked to the insurance agent and worked out details that the
agent overlooked such as the fact that no one in the construction industry could repair the damage for $5000.
Glen patiently worked with the insurance agent and identified a reasonable Loss Report which would restore my home to pre-accident
conditions in accordance with the terms of the homeowner's insurance contract.
I interviewed many contractors and selected 3 bids where the contractors had a Class A Contractor License , the necessary insurance and the positive consumer reviews. I selected Fairfax Contractor. This company's bid was in the middle of the three bids. This showed me that Fairfax Contractor priced the job fairly.
The insurance agent used tactics to cause undue emotional distress which was very damaging to me as an elderly woman who sustained severe injuries in the accident. I also feel that the insurance agent did
not fulfill the terms of the insurance contract to restore my home to full replacement value.
This situation was complicated and difficult. It would be a challenge for any contractor to deal with this insurance agent. I think most contractor's
would quit. However, Glen Izett stuck with the job, communicated with the insurance agent and did not withdraw his help. Finally, he was able to
negotiate a Loss Report that would restore my home to pre-accident
conditions and honor the home owners insurance contract.
I feel that the insurance agent did not fulfill his obligation under the
homeowner's insurance contract. This creates a major problem for anyone who deals with Loss in many faceted ways.
I owe a great deal of gratitude to Glen Izett and Fairfax Contractors for
helping me with this major personal, financial, health and family issue. I highly recommend Glen Izett as a person, as a professional, and as a businessman. I give Glen Izett and Fairfax Contractors a 5 star rating. Patricia V.

A couple months ago we hired Fairfax contractor to replace the front and back steps. Once the job started Scott did a great job coordinating the work. On the final day Scott and Victor did a great job installing the railing to complete the project. We’re happy with our decision, job looks good.

Life Saver!! We needed an emergency iron railing repair after it broke during our move. Not only was it a safety hazard, but we had to be out for the new homeowners in 2 days! Fairfax Contractors was so helpful and got someone out in less than 24 hours (and it was a weekend). They took all the stress away so that I could focus on the move. Very satisfied with the epoxy injection and foundation repair on less than a day’s notice. In spite of the rain, finding a yellow jacket nest upon digging, and getting stung, Victor and Scott did a great job with a positive attitude.

Chris and Jose rebuilt a wooden window well and did a great job. They are hardworking and take pride in their quality of work. I am so thankful to have found Glen! I was in an absolute panic due to water in a window well; he came over on a Saturday, with very little notice, to walk me through the problem and potential solutions. Not only that but then continued to take my panicked calls/texts/pictures and respond every single time. Not exaggerating when I say I'm not sure what I would have done without him!

I am writing this review on behalf of Dr Puri, who recently had drainage and erosion work done in his backyard, because of a problem with water logging. Dr Puri does not have a gmail account, therefore I am writing the review on his behalf.
Hats off to JAMIE ( pronounced 'Hymie' ), for his punctuality, work ethics and attention to detail. It was because of Jamie that the project got done on time.

The best and experienced workers very fair charges. I am truly happy with them. I had a difficult job. First Senior Estimator who is Ram Nabar came and examined everything and gave me an estimate and we worte contract and he managed to send an experienced person. Next day Victor Painter who is very experienced in Epoxcy injection on the concrete wall and dig the foundation to check if the crack continues into foundation. He is very hones and knows what he is doing. He took pictures step by step for me to show to buyer. I strongly recommend them.

I had signed a contract with Fairfax Contractor on a Monday to have epoxy injection work done on a portion of my basement foundation that was leaking water. It was during that very rainy/stormy week (May 2018) with much flooding occurring in the DC metro area. On Thursday of the same week we had a lot of water seeping in from the cracks scheduled to be injected, which can't be done until it dries out. I called Fairfax Contractor on Friday morning and they came out (the owner Glen and Jaime his employee) and used hydraulic cement to temporarily stop the leaking which saved me and my wife from having to sop up water every hour using towels (which we had been doing since Tuesday evening. When they finished I asked how much for the work. Glen told me that since I was already an existing customer, 'no charge' for the emergency call. That's definitely amazing customer service!! 5 star service!!

Overall, I had a great experience with Fairfax Contractor. Glen was very responsive on email, text and by phone. Our wrought iron railing was rusted and fell over. It needed to be welded and reset into concrete. My online request for an estimate was answered immediately with a phone call from Glen. I missed his call, but quickly received a text in addition to a voicemail. I called back and was able to send Glen a picture of the issue. He was able to diagnose the problem and gave me an estimate right away. The estimate was $150 less than another company quoted me! No surprise, they were booked 2-3 weeks out. I returned the signed contract and let him know I’d like to get it done ASAP. Luckily, they had a job they were working on near my house and were able to start after just one week of waiting. They require a deposit (1/3rd of cost) to schedule the work and it was very easy to get that done over the phone with Tony. Once the job was complete, Glen took a video of the railing and sent it to me. I live out of state, so I appreciated him showing me the final product that way. I’m having them look at another project and hope to use them again in the future.

I had a problem with a sinking front step. I was dreading what this issue was going to cost. After speaking to three different companies I went with Fairfax contractor. Ram came first to give me the estimate, so affordable I had them add on a new patio for my backyard. Then Glen came, this guy knows his stuff. Super friendly and everyone there just wants you to be happy. When I got a call on a Sunday to ask me how I felt about the finished product I mentioned one small thing that was a concern, boom Glen is back out Monday morning he and his guys fix it and make sure I'm happy before leaving.
