We had an unfortunate experience right before Christmas 2024. Our 2nd floor toilet over flowed and water had ran down onto our first floor and into our basement. Erie was called and showed up within a couple hours and managed to handle the situation. They came in a week or so later and tore all the damaged walls and other materials out quickly. I’ve used Erie Environmental in past and as always they did a great job. I had a black mold issue in the basement that came back because of a water leak I discovered. They treated the area, disinfected it then sealed all the walls with paint. I also bought a dehumidifier from them which they installed in the ceiling of the basement and ran the hose to my sub pump so I never have to empty it! Contracted Erie to remove asbestos in my kitchen floor to allow new flooring to be installed. Shane from the company was dispatched promptly. The cost was less than I expected, so I went ahead and was pleased with the results. I opted for the third party final air clearance for my own piece of mind and I would suggest others to consider this option especially if friable material will be involved during the removal. We had Erie Environmental come out to take care of some mold in our basement. They were very quick to schedule the assessment and abatement, and everyone we worked with was very nice and professional. Only thing I would’ve been happier with is that they said smells shouldn’t permeate the house, but there was definitely a chemical smell that lingered for a day or so. We are also questioning whether there is still mold in our basement.

Erie did a nice job removing asbestos from the basement pipes and floor tiles to help make it safer for our family. They also finished the floor with a nice coat of protective paint which looked nice too.

We had our crawl space encapsulated in Risingsun, OH. Overall we are very happy to have this completed, service was very quick to schedule and they didn’t need much from us once completing work. Great price compared to other companies in the area. The only downside was the very chemical/bleach smell in our house after the first day of work, which we would have liked to be warned about so we would have made other plans to be out of the house. Also would have done it when it was warmer out so we could actually open the windows to air it out. The smell much improved after they placed the barrier the next day.

Erie Environmental came out and did an asbestos test/survey on our property in Crestline Ohio with an old abandoned house on it. They were extremely quick to schedule the assessment. I called on a Tuesday and they came out on Thursday. The technician called me and gave me his ETA on the morning of the inspection. He was very prompt. He also called me after the inspection to give me a high-level overview of what he saw and a step-by-step outline as to what to expect next. I highly recommend this company. I hired them to remove some asbestos around some water pipes coming out of the boiler a couple of weeks ago. After they were finished, there were a couple of concerns on my end when I did my inspection, but they communicated well, and they quickly resolved the issues without any hassles.

We bought a house in Ohio and the previous owner didn't disclose the tile asbestos he tried to paint over and cover up with a carpet. We had ductwork, plaster ceiling, and even vents with frayed asbestos tape. We called several abatement service companies in Ohio and couldn't get teams out to take care of the issue and several that wanted to take several trips out when we had one major job. Thier team did a good job addressing my concerns and taking care my home. They had to come back a few times to take care of some spots but they were punctual and got the job done. They listened and addressed my concerns as well as coming back to make sure some of the black mastic spots where done right. I appreciate thier diligence and fitting us into their packed schedule even with just coming out and fixing some spots. I think they do a quality job.

I had Erie Environmental remediate a mold issue I had in the ceiling of my kitchen. I had a pleasant experience from start to finish. I talked with Valerie multiple times on the phone to schedule the free inspection and service. She was very nice and prompt. If she missed a call from me while helping other people, she responded within the hour. Erie was able to come out and give me a free inspection the day after I called. I scheduled the inspection for 10:30am and the inspector actually arrived an hour early. It took 5 days from the inspection to get the mold remediation quote (and another 4 days after that to get the reconstruction quote which they did to help me with my insurance claim). The soonest I could get an appointment for the mold remediation was 16 days after the inspection. The mold remediation took 3.5 hours total from start to finish. They were able to remove the mold and took time to tell us what they did to fix the problem. They sprayed an environmentally-friendly solution to keep future mold from growing in that area. They put up plastic barriers to keep the work area contained and the house clean. I thought they did a good job. I had asked them for a recommendation on someone who could do the reconstruction, but they never provided me with that information so I found someone on my own. The person who did the reconstruction wishes they would have cut the drywall in the ceiling in a straight line, but he was able to fix the issue. Overall, they did a good job and I would recommend them for mold remediation to other people. I do not know how their cost compares to other companies as I did not get a second quote (we needed to get the work done as soon as possible).
