EcoSmart installed my solar panels in 2018. My solar system has been a source of continuing delight every moment since. No problems at all. I interviewed many companies before committing to EcoSmart, and feel my diligence paid off. One thing I wish I’d done differently: I wanted a symmetric system, even though the panels are on the back of my house and can’t be seen from anywhere, I wanted them to look “even” on Google maps. That was stupid, because orienting them slightly towards one side as EcoSmart recommended would have produced a few more kWh. But they look orderly from the sky! As it is, my system produces 100% of my electric usage 11 months a year, as of 2025. In January I usually have a small bill, as the sunlight is less and it tends to be overcast. I would recommend EcoSmart to everyone. I particularly like that they’re roofers, and I felt (and continue to feel) they protected my roof. There is joy in getting a bill for $11.34 from UI, month after month after month.

With all the different solar options out there, I'm deeply grateful I chose the EcoSmart team. Every step of the way there was quick, direct and open communication. From the office team to the install team, every member was kind, thoughtful and helpful through it all. I felt like all my questions were answered and my project moved along the projected timeline. Additionally all the project choices were thoughtful and took into account the "aesthetic" of how the conduit and panels would look once actually on our home. Thank you EcoSmart team!

Jason was extremely helpful and courteous. You hardly knew he was in the house. He came early and did a fantastic job. I would definitely recommend Joe the plumber to my friends and family.

EcoSmart came out and did the best Home Energy Audit I've ever had. They answered all my questions and sealed up a number of leaks in my home. Highly recommended!

I would like to compliment Dan Dolan from EcoSmart Home Services as well as his co-workers, Cameron and Torado, for an excellent home energy visit to my home today. They were respectful, quiet and very efficient with the scope of their assessment as well as completing some energy solutions/remedies in my home. It was worth every penny of the $75 fee.

Ecosmart did a great job with the solar installation as well as the support provided after the install, keeping all communications open and following up on time. Right from providing the quotes, which were very competitive; to following through and doing a great job installing the panels to ensuring we have permission to turn on the system quickly, they have been great. When we were looking at different companies for solar installation, Zac was phenomenal in explaining and solving to our needs, Justin, Daniel and team were great and did the installtion seamlessly, and finally Gary helped with all post install questions and support we had and continue to have. The two guys helped so much with sealing cracks and checking all drafts . They were excellent and very respectful

Dan and Cameron were excellent! They cleared everything they did before they did it. They explained how it would help us. It didn't feel like they were trying to sell us anything, just inform. I would recommend them and the service to anyone!

I’m still not sure if this is a partnership with the utility company, or a private company who is trying to sell their services, but it’s good either way.

The crew came once to give me an assessment, I couldn’t have the blower test done become of some home repair that needed to be cleared up first. They came back at a convenient time for me and took care of business. They were polite, efficient and informative. They did about 2 hours of sealing up the house and eliminated every draft in our 100 year old home. The house is already feeling more insulated after 24 hours.

Then they suggest a few thousand of home efficiency improvements with thousands of dollars in rebates. Based on what they’ve done so far, we trust the assessment and will go forward with their suggestions. They were not pushy or pitchy at all. Very trusting.

Very nice young men! They did a nice job caulking around the fireplace and made sure we understood details about getting attic insulated.

Lewis and Paul came out to survey my home for insulation projects recommended through the CT weatherization program. They were professional and considerate about cleaning up the dust and debris from their work. Lewis went out of his way to see if we could get windows installed at no cost because our windows qualified for replacement. Lewis was extremely helpful, and it's clear how much he enjoys helping families get their homes taken care of. Thanks Lewis!

I have been dealing with Thomas for my solar needs and so far my experience has been amazing. No matter the question Thomas has an answer and has made the process stress-free. Highly recommended!

Can’t say enough about eco smart and their employees. Kim that answers calls ,etc is very professional and extremely kind, and does a phenomenal job at handling concerns and needs and gets back to you right away. I’d get rid of 10 workers just to have 1 of her. The manger is also terrific and does a fine job at taking care of what must be done.
. I would rate 10 stars if I could. Thank you to the employees of eco smart for making it possible. Much appreciated.

My system was installed April '23 and I've waited 6 months before typing this review so that I could see how the system worked and any install issues that may have arisen in that time. I am happy to report that there have been no issues, and the system has been performing as expected (although all the rain hasn't helped)!

Zac Crowe was my 1st contact @ EcoSmart and he did an outstanding job of working with me to layout the system. He explained all of the system components to me as we selected them, and, over the course of the couple of weeks it took me to finalize my decision, quickly answered all the follow-up questions that I had (it seemed like he was always online and easily contacted by phone.) EcoSmart handled all of the permitting seamlessly. The install guys were professional, friendly, courteous, and knowledgeable. They cleaned up the area well after the install. The final inspection was a little rough in that the original electrician was not at the inspection and the one that was at the inspection hadn't been on site during the installation. Luckily, I knew where everything was and what the inspector would be looking for (the initial electrician was very thorough in walking me through the system when he had finished). This issue aside, the final inspection passed with flying colors.

EcoSmart was not the least expensive quote that I received, but they were the most realistic in the system design/layout (most of the other companies that quoted seemed to have very inexperienced folks doing the layout and they way overestimated their quoted systems' output), they had very good design tools (e.g. they knew exactly where the shadows from trees, etc. were going to be an issue), they handled the installation process from permit to site cleanup seamlessly, and they were extremely responsive to any questions that I had or issues that arose during the process.

Overall, I am very pleased with EcoSmart's performance from initial design all the way through installation. I have recommended them friends, family, and neighbors. In fact, my son-in-law also sourced EcoSmart for his system and has had the same experience. "Job well done" to everyone involved at EcoSmart!

Salesperson Thomas was very knowledgeable and helpful. He didn't pressure but presented the best options. He found the best deal possible for my needs. Install was well done and professional. The work crew was very friendly- even shared some of their munchkins with my young son (and coffee with dad)

1) I love the integrated way these guys think about home energy use. 2) They coordinated with our roofer to remove and then replace a roof-mounted array to minimize our down-time when we replaced our roof. 3) As we replace an old array, they've helped us explore options for the new system. Fingers crossed for a smooth install.

EcoSmart did an excellent job with my new roof and solar panel installation. Having an older home, a few issues popped up, and EcoSmart took care of them promptly and quickly. They did a great job of explaining the process along the way and were transparent with all the necessary paperwork that is required to go solar. Zac and his crew were very professional and courteous throughout.

I met with Zac Crowe to explore adding Solar panels to our home. I found him to be extremely knowledgeable on the in and outs of solar, the technology itself, equipment options, amortized costs, and the credits and incentives both local and nationally when you invest in this type of product for the home. I had solar panels installed on my house in Middletown, CT. The salesperson (Rich) was knowledgeable and responsive to my questions. Price seemed reasonable. Installation went quick and easy.

Overall, I had a tremendously positive experience with EcoSmart in purchasing and installing my solar panels. I would absolutely recommend them!

As with any significant purchase, I try and do my best to become an educated consumer. I did my research and reached out to 5 solar companies. A friend recommended EcoSmart and I'm glad I called - Zac was knowledgeable and made sure I knew the real deal. The other companies I met with fed me a used car pitch and tried to hard sell me. The office staff was great and install was even better, highly recommend!

Used EcoSmart for a 14.2kW Solar installation and was extremely pleased with them the whole way. From the initial consultation with Rich to the roofers and electricians, everyone was responsive for the entire project and everything went very smoothly. Cost wise, they came under several other quotes that I'd received while using higher quality panels. I'd absolutely recommend giving them a look for solar.

I highly recommend using EcoSmart for your solar project. I met with 6 other companies before EcoSmart and I was ready to forget about going Solar after hearing salesman after salesman push their companies 25 year power purchase agreement contracts. EcoSmart came and presented the best and largest rated system for 15 thousand less then the next lowest company. All the work was done on time and everyone was very professional and helpful throughout the process and install. I highly recommend buying your solar project through EcoSmart and enjoy your free energy in 8 years and not 25.

They installed our solar in December 2020 - best decision we ever made. The salesperson (Zach) was great and the install was seamless. They have graciously showed up a few times to resolve issues that we assumed were caused by their work but were actually the result other parties.

As part of our solar install they took feedback from us and deployed a brand of panels they did not normally offer. We appreciated the flexibility and willingness to hear other options. We would work with them again!

I highly recommend Ecosmart home services. The head of my project was incredibly informative- I learned a lot about energy proofing your home. The installers were incredible as well. They were highly experienced and did a wonderful job as well as cleaning up after the job was done. All in all I had a 5 star experience from the office to the installers.

We used EcoSmart for our Solar Panels and insulation. The Solar process was phenomenal. Unfortunately the salesperson I dealt with is no longer with the company, but the entire process from beginning to end was flawless. The insulation project was also great and they helped me out when it came time for State rebates when I was in a timing pinch. Had they not assisted, I would have been stuck paying thousands more.

I do agree that their Energy Audit Team needs some polishing up, the gentlemen that performed my audit did not do the best job, hence the loss of star.

I shopped with 4 other solar providers before I found Ecosmart. Not only did their financing and pricing blow everyone absolutely out of the water, I got hands on personal treatment and care throughout the entire project. They worked with me on my custom requests and everything was done in a very timely manner. Can’t recommend them enough.

Ecosmart did a great job with my home insulation. Luis was the guy who helped us with our home insulation. On-time and very professional. I highly recommend them.

Never ever go with this company, they give false promises that water heater will be replaced but never reach back with anything for 3 months, so followed with a call and they said there is no recommendation to you on the water heaters . Cheaters !! Why give false promise . They get paid for their service.. is this something a setup.

I had a home audit performed for the Energize CT program. The tech came by and inspected the home for 4 hours because he spent more than half the time training a new hire. The problem is the technician stated my basement is a heated space. I have had no heat in my basement since I moved in the home. They denied my ability to get rebates for insulation due to the techs statement. I made several attempts to have them rectify the situation which they ignored. They have not sent an auditor to review what the technician evaluated. More over it took over a month to get an evaluation report. I also asked for them to provide a quote for solar panels when the technician was here. He stated someone from the company would reach out to me. No one ever did. Overall a poor customer service experience. I would not recommend under any circumstance. I wish google gave an option to give no stars as a part of the rating.

We recently had solar panels installed by EcoSmart Home Services and we could not have chosen a better company for the project. Everyone that I dealt with was so professional and courteous including Shannon, Ryan, Jake, Dylan, and Derrick and whoever else helped me at EcoSmart to get the system running. We've already had a few days in January that the panels have produced more energy than what we've used. Thanks again and I would highly recommend EcoSmart Home Services for any home project.
