Duncan Enterprises did a wonderful job repairing our deck and replacing the decking. They also built and installed some gates and replaced a small step unit. The project had some complications that required some creative solutions and they came up with just the right approach! I'd say their prices are very fair for the level of professionalism, expertise, and good communication that they bring. They have our highest recommendation.

Darrell and crew were exceptional to work with. They built a large Pergola for us, paying attention to every single detail. For example, he was having trouble finding the quality lumber needed for the long spans required, and ended up going to several different lumber companies to find the quality of wood he wanted for the project. We are incredibly appreciative and impressed at the time and effort they put into this project. We felt no stress at all having them here working every day. As well, they were meticulous about cleaning up every day!! Pogo, our Afghan Hound liked every one of them and he is pretty standoffish with most everyone. They were also very careful about the fenced area, closing and locking the gate so Pogo could not escape. Angela is a master in communicating, whether estimates, project info, etc. Customer service?The best.

I had Duncan Enterprise tear out an old porch and replace with a larger one. Every aspect of this build and contract experience was flawless. The attention to detail that this team uses is above and beyond expectations. Everyone on the construction team was polite and had great personalities and work ethic. You can tell they love what they do and take pride in their work. I love my new porch and will use Duncan Enterprise for any future projects I might have.

They removed white PVC porch railing and replaced it with black metal. The whole crew (family business) showed up on install day and knocked out the project in hours. They were very, very kind and did a great job. Due to the existing masonry work, the Duncan team had to come up with work around a on the spot and they made it happen. Angela and her team were amazing to work with! We desperately needed a new front porch and they came with amazing reviews. Angela was great at staying in contact with us throughout the whole project. The Duncan group did several impressive things on our project. They navigated through the difficult Blacksburg building inspectors flawlessly. They took time time to add special touches such as not exposing the attaching screws on the top of the decking and they built a custom hand rail for the steps. Also, Angela was very communicative and kept me posted about each stage of the project. Great pricing, also!

Duncan rebuilt an older deck and repaired the water damage under the 30+ year old deck. The did awesome work and we're very pleased with them. They cleaned up everything. They showed up on time every day and were very good with communicating delays to us. They had material on site, ready to start. No complaints, we'll certainly be using them again. Duncan Enterprises had recently completed a large front porch repair project for us, and the quality of the work they did on that job exceeded our expectations. When we decided that our small back deck needed replacing, they were the company that we wanted for the job.

Before getting into the details, I want to point out that no compensation of any kind was provided for this review.

Duncan Enterprises removed and demolished our old, dilapidated back deck, and then built a beautiful deck in its place. They were very efficient throughout the process, and completed the construction in one day. It is a testament to their skill and experience that they made the process look easy.

I was EXTREMELY impressed by the quality and workmanship of their work. The framing was very solid, stable, and sturdy, and the finished product looked great!

Another thing that impressed me was how careful the entire team was with our property. There was no damage to anything else they were working on or near. After finishing the job, they cleaned up the work area so well that I didn’t find any trash, screws, or debris.

We’ve had experience with Duncan Enterprises over the course of the multi-week first project they did for us, and now with this second, smaller project. Throughout all of our experiences with them, their hard-working team was always focused on getting the work done and done correctly. In short, they were very hard working and reliable.

To summarize, I highly recommend Duncan Enterprises and will certainly use them again for any future construction or repair needs that may arise. In all cases, they did an excellent job for us, and I am thoroughly pleased with the final product.

My experience with Duncan Enterprises was, like with other reviewers, outstanding. They did great work rebuilding a porch for me, inspiring confidence and trust from day 1. Several notable aspects included: experienced and very professional, listened and communicated well and transparently, showed great pride in their work with attention to detail and no stone unturned. The work area was clean and neat at the end of each day, and in better shape when they finished than when they started.

The end product looked fantastic. Darryl, Angela and the entire crew were attentive and courteous throughout and great to work with. I’m glad I hired them, and likely won’t hire hire anyone else for future work.

The Duncans were professional, polite and skillful in their craft. They did such an amazing job that my wife and I recommend them to our daughter Danielle, who, immediately hired them to do her roof at Garfield Ave as well. Their pricing was extremely fair and reasonable on both houses and the work quality has exceeded our expectations. They cleaned after themselves and left the sites tidy daily until the jobs were completed. Our daughter was so impressed with her new roof and thanked my wife and I multiple times, as we ourselves extended our personal thanks to the Duncans. We are recommending them to our friends and neighbors!
