Jeff has done work for me personally on several houses and I have hired him for my clients. I highly recommend his services. He is very thorough and easy to work with.

DO NOT HIRE JEFF STOUT! He literally cost me thousands of dollars by his incompetence. He said a plumbing leak only needed, and I quote “a little pipe dope” when the toilet was cracked, and the shower leaked profusely. After we told him of his errors, he said he would reimburse me part of his fee. He never did after 6+ times of contacting him. He always had an excuse and would put us off and never reconnect. Then he finally stopped taking our calls and messages. Jeff Stout is not a good home inspector.

Jeff never inspected the roof, which has a nasty leak at the chimney, and the basement floods every time it rains in the winter. He admittedly didn’t inspect the attic, citing the ladder was not safe. We could have easily had $5K taken off the price of the home if Jeff Stout had done what we hired him to do.

10/25/24 Not surprised he responded with lies, the same as his lie to reimburse us. He DOES GIVE SUGGESTIONS, like "put some pipe dope on it", more lies. There was a wall full of BLACK MOLD in my basement, and he's claiming there was no way to tell if there had been a leak, more lies. If his roof inspection means getting on a ladder and taking a look, then he did the absolute minimum there.

BOTTOM LINE, Jeff Stout is a bad inspector, DO NOT HIRE!
