What most impressed me initially was Mike's focus on doing our window replacements the right way for our coastal climate. Once he and his crew started working, I also observed his expertise, hard work, and trust-worthiness. When the job needed one more thing, he soon came back to get that done, too.

The installation guy was great, polite and clean. He did not even leave a piece of paper after him and made sure to wipe and clean the new door and frame. Later, I noticed an issue with a screw and when we called them, they came back and made sure to fix it. Completely satisfied with the work and service.

I recently had the pleasure of hiring D & M Construction LLC for a project, and I couldn’t be happier with the results. From start to finish, their service was exceptional, earning them a well-deserved five-star rating.

Mike and his team have done a number of jobs including siding, water heater installation, attic insulation, door replacements and a number of small jobs. All work has started and been completed in a timely man fashion on quoted budget and above my expectations on quality as these homes they worked on are older and required more love and care. I def recommend D&M for any size projects! Pictured are siding, trim and facia that I had been dreading about having repainting the past few years. Mikes team wrapped it all and put in siding so I’ll never have to paint again.

Mike fixed a pipe configuration problem with our water softener system that was causing a water pressure issue. This was something we’d been dealing with for years and he was able to locate the issue quickly and fix it fast. He also taught us a few things about pressure tank maintenance while he was there. Super nice guy and easy to work with. Communication was also great, thanks Dasha!

I utilized this business for the construction of second story deck which included a screened in porch with a flight of stairs to the ground floor. The craftsmanship was amazing. The crew worked full days and into the evening hours and kept the job site clean of debris and hazards. The finishing touches this crew put on the project made me feel the pride in their work as if they were building this deck/porch at one of their own houses. Kudos. I do have plans to use them again in the future.

Mike, Alex and Ben were wonderful to work with! They replaced our exterior siding with Hardie Board, replaced our front entry door, plumbed a new bathroom, completed some electrical work and I’m sure there are other things that I’m forgetting. They showed up early everyday and stayed late. They have wonderful work ethic and take pride in their work. Mike goes above and beyond to make sure the customer is happy. They were all so friendly and started to feel more like family than our contractor. We looked forward to talking to them each day and seeing the progress made. They were great at keeping the job site neat and tidy. We also hired D&M to replace our roof and they did a wonderful job as well. I would highly recommend them for any job. We now know who to call when we have other projects!

Over the past several years, D & M renovated many apartments for me and was a primary subcontractor on new construction homes for my development company. The work I threw at them was as complex and challenging as it gets for renovation and new construction and in all cases they performed amazingly. This included complex plumbing, hvac, structural and electrical. Mike's leadership and attention to detail is top-notch and amongst the best of any contractors I have worked with. I will definitely be using them for construction in the future.

I got a new slide door installed by D&M. They did a great job removing the old slide door, and installing the new one. I would defiantly recommend using them for any of your remodeling needs.

We had a great experience with D&M construction. They replaced our flooring very quickly and at a great price! They are our go to for any repairs or remodeling.

UPDATE: D&M Construction, LLC (Mikhail/Dasha Ilyuk) ***This is ALL public information***. See original complaint on BBB. The VAdpor determined that D&M Construction, LLC. (Mikhail/Mike & Dasha Ilyuk) was in violation due to D&M abandoning & not finishing the deck railings, posts, & gates (thus leaving our deck in hazardous condition). We won the 1st judgment against D&M on Dec 5, 2022. They paid on May 19, 2023 (5+ months later). Our suit was in the Harrisonburg/Rockingham Cty General District Court. We hired another contractor (licensed professional w integrity), to install the remaining deck rails, posts, & gates, then called for inspection. The under-deck support structure was NOT up-to-code; thus failing inspection. We filed another suit against D&M to recoup the cost we paid (and not a penny more) to the new contractor to get everything up-to-code. Rather than paying what we were due, Mike (Mikhail) approached us in the hallway at the courthouse, with hostility in his voice, yelled, "I'll give u $$$$", which was significantly less than what we had paid the other contractor. I said, "Mike, your work was not up-to-code", my son added, "It failed inspection". Literally, Mike (Mikhail) yelled, "Your faces failed inspection". Then, he stormed out of the building. D&M (Mike) asked the court for a continuance (a regular occurrence with all of their court appearances; again, all public info), then retained an attorney. Thus, we retained an attorney, as well. His attorney was gonna fight that we should have sued one big suit, rather than 2 small claims. This saga began in Sep 2021, my husband died in Aug 2022, and as of Dec 6, 2023, with the guidance of my attorney, I made the decision to dismiss the case. This experience has been absolutely horrible and draining.. and honestly, traumatizing.

Mike and his team were fast, professional and easy to work with. The renovations they did were very well done. We’ll definitely have them come back for other projects!

I am very happy with the range of talents these guys have. They replaced our deck boards and replaced an old single door with a sliding door out to the deck and it looks great! They worked all day until the job was done. They were clean and respectful and also responsive on the phone and through email. I will be using them again in the future.

Mike and his crew are simply the best in the business! Very friendly and easy to get along with. I was having a house framing dried in by a company and that company didn't know how to install a special order bay window that I had. I even called 3 other window contractors that wouldn't touch it. I called Mike and he sent his guys from Virginia to West Virginia to help me out because evidently, Anderson windows does not have any trained people in my state. When the guys got there they told me they would need a few materials because Anderson had not sent all that was needed for the install, so I told them to do whatever they needed to do. I just can't believe what they came up with! It looks better than I ever imagined it would. These guys are professionals! They don't just come and read the installation instructions, they know how to think outside the box! I just can't say enough good things about these very professional folks. I will be using them again on future projects as I finish the house. Thanks Mike!!!

My front porch was very old and needed to be not only replaced but rebuilt. D & M Construction did an AMAZING job at a very affordable price! I will most definitely call on them for any future projects!

Mike and his crew replaced the beams under my house to make it level. They were dependable and on time. Will definitely recommend and use again.

D&M Construction provided excellent customer service in a timely manner with hooking up our plumbing for a new sink and granite countertop install. He arrived on time got the work done in a timely manner and was on his way. He also helped fixed an issue from another contractors error as well.
