Robert was great to work with! He was patient with us and was quick to come by check out the site as often as needed. We were exceedingly pleased with the end product. It even looks better than we imagined and is solid! We are very thankful that we found Custom Garages of Virginia to do our project and would definitely recommend them to anyone!

My family and I have had the pleasure of working with Custom Garages of Virginia - particularly with Robert and Roman Summy. We needed to operate under a strict budget. They were EXTREMELY accommodating, kind, patient, and understanding. They offered ideas to aid and assist us with what WE needed. Their motive clearly was not to "just try and sell us something." They focused on providing QUALITY over QUANTITY and we appreciate that! We also got the most "bang for our bucks." We looked EVERYWHERE and could not find anything close to what this company offers.

First...for the most part I love my custom garages building. BUT, I was extremely disappointed in the whole process of working with this company. Communication was poor, often nonexistent, and I had to do ALL the reaching out at every stage to find out when work was being started/ completed. Over and over I was told someone would " get back to me" only to have weeks go by with no response and I would have to reach out yet again. Work was scheduled and I stayed home from work only to have no workers show up. This happened over and over. At this time, 3 months after the "completion " of my building there are issues that need to be addressed and work that needs to be fixed and again I'm getting the run around. I am not in the habit of writing poor reviews but I am beyond frustrated and disappointed with custom garages of virginia. They were quick at one thing though. Collecting their payments. Too bad this company couldn't show the same enthusiasm for my project.

Had the crew build us a 40’ x 24’, 3 bay garage. They were consummate professionals and did a great job. We couldn’t be happier with the finished product, and will look to them again when we build our barn.

Roman, Robert and Brandon were awesome to work with on our detached garage. From the initial meeting with our design and materials requirements, everyone, including their subcontractors, were professional, polite and made sure we were happy with the workmanship. Roman and his team at Custom Garages did an exceptional job in building a 24'x24' garage for us. They were prompt, responsive, and kept in frequent contact with us during course of construction to keep us informed of progress. Their quality of work and service were excellent in all respects.

Had 2 car garage built in Stanardsville. Did a FANTASTIC job. Strangers pull in just to look at it and ask questions. I tell them to head on down to thier site in Barboursville.

Robert and Brandon were very good to work with for our 30x60 garage. They handled all the county permits and requirements for drawings and inspections. The carpentry team was excellent. Amazingly they constructed the garage on the foundation in two very long days. The material choices were very good matches to the existing structures for siding, doors and windows. The quality of the workmanship was excellent, and attention was paid to every detail. Would gladly use Custom Garages for any future efforts.

Custom Garages of Virginia built a beautiful two stall horse barn with two bays for tractors. We could not be more satisfied with the level of service they provided. Roman and Robert took care of every detail. Very responsive to all our questions and concerns. We would recommend them to anyone considering having a building built or put in place. Working with Custom Garages of Virginia for our new garage was a great experience. Our primary project manager Roman was engaged with us during the entire process from initial planning and site prep to completion. Roman and the team worked with us to design a structure that matched the existing 200 year old house and took great care in selecting materials and making architectural choices that would create a seamless look.Custom Garages of Virginia took care of all the permits/inspections and coordinated all contractors, anytime we had a question we got a prompt response from Roman. The workmanship and professionalism of the carpentry and foundation teams were excellent and they used very high quality materials. We are looking forward to enjoying our new garage for many years!

2 foot footers, 6" concrete floor, 2 foot cinder block walls, 2x6 walls ten feet tall with 2x6 rafters, and Timberline UHD Patriot red architectural shingles. This is a 16"x16" shed. I only wish my house was built this well. A true Amish crew came out for the framing & finishing. Those guys work hard in the 90+ temp for the 2.5 days they were here. When finished they did make a mistake on one part of the build, however made things right. The price was right compared to the quotes I got which were much higher. I think this shed will out live my entire neighborhood. Work speaks for its self.

We worked with the Horse Barn Division to build a new 4-stall center aisle horse barn and the barn and building experience were outstanding! Robert S took care of us from beginning to end, and patiently worked through our learning curve and budget constraints to make sure we ended up with exactly our dream barn. His crew were top notch craftsmen who moved quickly to grade our very challenging hilly landscape, and construct an attractive, built to last barn. Through it all, Robert thoroughly addressed every single question and concern we had. We'd highly recommend Horse Barns of Virginia!

Custom Garages of Virginia is an excellent contractor. In preparation of the site Edward, the Project Manager ensured the location was correct, even giving us some relief in the tree removal process. All permits were pulled in a timely manner ensuring that foundation work could start as scheduled. Once the foundation work was complete the Amish carpenter crew was on site. Their workmanship was nothing but perfection, I have never seen such a strong work ethic focused on perfection.. In eight days they built this beautiful garage with living space. I have never been happier with the out come of a project, "Perfection" says it all, see the attached picture, worth a million words !

We had Capitol Sheds stick build our 18x22 shed. Edward was fantastic to work with. He was extremely knowledgeable when it came time to brainstorm options. The results were amazing. We received a quality long lasting product. Edward ensure we were satisfied all through out the process. Top notch quality and customer service. I would highly recommend Capitol Sheds and Edward!!!

It was a pleasure working with Robert from the Custom Barn Division to build our 36x36 center aisle barn. He presented several plans and pricing packages. We appreciated his recommendations and are extremely happy with the result. The crew who framed the barn was exceptional in their efficiency and craftmanship. Everything was completed on schedule with great customer service. The building experience was positive in every way! Even a neighbor commented, "Best looking barn I've seen in a long time!"

Very happy that we decided to purchase a shed. We designed ours to match our home. Every option is customized to your specifications; size, colors of the wood, trim, doors, roof, siding. If you want shelves, loft, double doors or single. Any thing you can think of they have an option and if they don't, they can build it. In our case, we asked for a ladder rack on the outside. We gave them a sketch and they built the rack we asked for, no problem. The picture of the ladders on the rack are below. Since these are custom built, they do take some time, it took about a month for us to get our shed after we made the purchase, which was fine since we were not in a rush. Delivery of the shed is built into the cost also.

My husband and I had Capitol Sheds, Horse barn department, build us a five-stall, center-aisle barn with a large tack room. We were so pleased with Robert Summy as contractor and the fine builders he used for the barn. Materials, workmanship, and customer service could not have been better.

It has been a long time since we have had such an easy and positively outstanding experience with a contracted group. Working with Robert Summy and his Custom Horse Barn Crew from Custom Garages could not have been easier. We had been in discussions with a number of builders for close to a year, including Barn Pros through Costco....but absolutely nobody could touch the price or the personal attention to detail that Custom Garages provided. They built us a 36 x 36 horse-barn style structure with a second level loft....absolutely wonderful. Robert personally brought swatches and paint color samples as well as multiple onsite visits to ensure everything from the concrete pour to the structural barn was set up as requested. We wanted to park our large John Deere tractor inside and he was able to custom raise the ceiling of the lower level to accommodate our needs. The Amish crew that came out was professional and respectful of our area, putting the entire barn up in just a few days and providing a thorough clean-up of the area. But the great experience didn't stop there as the group worked with us through any follow-up concerns and provided flexible payment options....overall, a wonderful experience.

Very happy with the process and outcome of our new custom structure. The look is exactly what we were going for. The construction quality is excellent and ease of working with the team took the stress out of the project.

I could not find anyone that was willing to build a reinforced deck/platform on sloped ground for my new shed. I finally found Robert and his company. Robert came out, surveyed what I wanted and then got to work. What I got was a platform that you could park a tank on. He placed my shed on the platform and I could not be happier. I plan on using him for future work. Great experience!!!

Recently bought a run-in shed from Capital Sheds. It was a positive experience and a pleasure to find a company that does quality work, listens to its customers, and follows through on all matters. Would certainly use them again!
