Our experience working with Custom Climates went very well. Brian did an excellent job with his guidance and work with our heating system. He was dependable and great to work with to get the job done right.

I've been having an issue with my furnace for about a year now. I previously hired one of the "big name" HVAC companies based out of Nashua to come out and fix, and somehow, the issue kept coming back. After multiple visits and multiple technicians, each technician would claim that the system was fine and that it seemed to be working properly. But unfortunately, the same hazardous issue would happen shortly after.

With my frustration growing, I decided to call Custom Climates since they were right down the road. Brian came out and was able to figure out the source of the problem in about a half hour.

He explained the problem, ordered a replacement part, and came back the next day to fix. He also serviced the furnace and was able to explain some of the adjustments he made.

Long story short - Brian is awesome. Extremely thorough, explains things well, and you can tell he's just an all around skilled technician. I'm confident that the work he did fixed the problem which brings me peace of mind knowing that we won't be dealing with any more potentially dangerous issues.

Terrible customer service, a woman called me and claimed to have authorization to work on a rental property. Then asks me who the owner is and then says “I’ll look it up myself” after the owner contacted me to say he didn’t authorize any work. She claims to have had experience with this in the past, if she did she would have known the rental laws in NH and tenants just can’t call anyone for repairs until authorized. She should be working in a toll booth. Worst customer experience ever!
Your response is not what you wanted to hear.
We have technicians there putting back together you hack job.
This is a rental property not a neighbor get you story straight. And you left a rental property without hot water bunch of clowns. Call me crazy if it makes your business practice sound legit. Stay away!!!

Expectations vastly exceeded! The crew executed the job in a professional manner in a single day at the quoted cost with no surprises. They were neat and organized and took care to clean the job areas when the work was completed. The installation was done as promised using quality materials and equipment. Josh and Jim did an excellent job. From a walk thru to be sure we were clear on where everything would go to hard, diligent work checking and triple checking their work as they went. They were thoughtful to us and respectful of our home. Vacuuming and laying down protection on floors and taking all recycling and trash with them. The estimate was professional and insightful. Had a mini split system installed and it was a great experience. Less than a year later a part had failed (an issue with a special allergen filter I opted to add on not a part of the mini split. Mitsubishi system runs like a dream). Wesley came out same day after hours, diagnosed the issue, and had it fixed same day! Above and beyond doesn’t say enough about this company. I would recommend them for any and all HVAC installs and needs!

Margarita was very nice and was a pleasure to work with. Brian came out to take a look at moving some (A/C ducts and some minor repairs on central a/c). Brain was super thorough. Another person (Jon) called because (he does the installs) he didn't have the time (almost 2 weeks) to come up with written quote (6k to simply move the ducts from the middle of a room to the side) so he simply called. He was extremely rude and very argumentative (especially for someone who never came himself to look at the project). Another company provided a written quote of $2843. PLEASE do yourself a favor and look elsewhere.

**** UPDATE - As you can see by Jon's response and attacks (below), you can only imagine how the conversation on the phone actually went. Everyone can have a bad day, but to make up stories to try and save face is quite remarkable. Its a customers responsibility to let others know of their experience so that others can make an informed decision on where they choose to do business, not that Jon seems to care. Hopefully, this can be a learning opportunity for Jon and he can strive to do better for current and future customers. Best of luck, Jon!

Custom Climate HVAC is an amazing company. Great people to work with, from Steve who came to our house, and presented the options that were available for our home heating and cooling system. Steve provided us with all the information we needed to make our decision, without any pressure.
Nick who came to our house and provided us with more information on how and where the heads and outside units would be installed. Then Nick coordinated and did the installation, while always keeping me informed on their progress.
All the guys that came to our house to do their work were polite and courteous. They cleaned up after themselves and were very kind to our dogs.

In late January our combination heat/hot water boiler died on a Tuesday and the team from Custom Climates accommodated us with a new one two days later. The owner knows his stuff, was not pushy with the estimate and he and his staff performed the work in a very courteous, professional manner. Very pleased with the outcome.

After meeting with a number of companies – few of whom offered Mitsubishi products at the outset, claiming lack of availability – I went to the Mitsubishi website, and Custom Climates rose to the top for our install of 5 mini-splits. Their approach of helpful service – from obtaining permits to having an in-house electrician and assisting with rebates – was the primary reason we chose them. In addition, the fact that they deal exclusively with Mitsubishi gave us confidence they would be knowledgeable of the products that would suit our needs. The mini-splits were installed within 2 weeks of signing. Our experience with the team who worked on our project was exceptional. Each member, from sales to final installation, was professional, courteous, an expert at their role on the project, meticulous on site, and cared about how the project was put together. we had a new mitsubishi HVAC system [air conditioning and heat] installed in our 40 year old home in March 2023. from beginning to end, our experience could not have been better! our initial contact was Steve, who was extremely knowledgeable, explained everything to us, and answered our many, many questions. The team installed 5 mini splits and two compressors under schedule and in record heat. They did not take any short cuts, were extremely professional, thorough, very clean, and most importantly— did a fantastic job. It was worth every penny to use this company. We had 5 quotes and while this was a tad more expensive than the rest this team seemed to have the most expertise. I got the contact info from a friend when our hot water heater burst. They came out the same day to quote us on a whole new system. The installation crew arrived right on time and were super nice and helpful. The plumber figured out we had an issue with out propane tanks and even took the time to help us figure out who to contact and let them know what we needed.

We contacted Custom Climates to repair our HVAC ducts after part of our house flooded. It was difficult getting ANY contractors to return our calls this season, but CC responded immediately, structured a reasonable quote for services, and then performed the work in a professional manner - on-time and as-promised. We had a Mitsubishi Mini-Split system installed by another company in our prefab home, that was built out of state and it was plagued with issues. We payed another company over $3000 to turn up and replace some parts on our oil furnace. After that it would run rich and shut off randomly. I was feed up with that company so I called Custom Climates. Nate came over and properly diagnosed the issues and had the furnace running perfectly.

My wife scheduled them first out of four companies we were considering because she was so favorably impressed with the person who took her call, then, after our interview with the sales person we were so impressed with his knowledge of the product and the price that we decided to go with them and cancelled the other interviews we were going to do with the other companies. The man in chat of the installation team, and every member of the team who made the installation was also just as impressive. The man who came to my home and helped with my HVAC was young, professional, and very good humored. He got here early and was quite responsive and provided service with a smile.

These guys do excellent, entirely professional work for a fair price. My hot water heater stopped working a few weekends ago. Ryan had me try a few things to fix it over text message, diagnosed the problem, then ordered new water heaters, and installed them asap. No problems, no hassle, and a clean, professional job. The bill was entirely fair. Two years ago they installed the outdoor central air conditioning unit and it is running great with zero problems.

I really did not know what was going on with the system. The technician they sent crawled around in the attic for 2 hours in 90 degree heat and figured it out for me!

I hired Custom Climates as a second opinion related to issues we are experiencing with our gas boiler. Phil came out and debunked the statement of work from the first company. He also was able to get the boiler running in no time. The guys from Custom Climates explained everything they saw for future repair or replacement, but used it as a chance to educate me, not push me into any purchases immediately. You better believe I will be ripping up the other quote and sticking with Custom Climates!

I had my furnace turned up service with Custom Climates service. Due to Covid-19, my regular service company didn’t schedule appoint until all business back to normal which maybe another month or who knows how long. So I called around. The office lady Abbey was so friendly and help me with scheduling. They are very efficient and made appointment in the same week! Then they follow up with text to confirm my appointment and sending me reminder of my appointment. I thought that was very thoughtful. People can be busy and distracted, a reminder will help and save both side time. The tech people ( Eric and Nick) came on time, they are very polite, they also put blanket to protect my floor Which were some area rugs I put in the basement entrance.
They did throughly safety points check and cleaning, worked very professional and knowledgeable and answered all my questions very patiently! They cleaned up after their work! I’m a very happy customer! I strongly recommend this company and these people!

Mitsubishi Ductless Mini-Split. After a fair amount of research I knew I wanted a Mitsubishi ductless minisplit. I went on their website, found three local "Diamond Dealers"; or whatever Mitsubishi calls their preferred / trained retailers. Custom Climates solution of installing ductwork behind a kneewall in the second floor (I have a Cape Cod style house) was innovative and the only one of the 3 that offered that as a workable solution. Price was inline with the other 2 bidders, perhaps a little more, but their solution of burying the ductwork behind the kneewall is what sold me and my wife. Had a large unit installed downstairs and a second unit installed upstairs. Customer service: Extremely responsive. The unit upstairs behind the kneewall wasn';t turning off when the room cooled to the desired temp. After a free visit, they recommended an ECOBEE smart thermostat which I would have to pay for to include labor. I politely told them that they either sized the rooms wrong or installed a faulty thermostat, neither of which was my fault. They agreed and installed a new ECOBEE smart thermostat for free. Then customer service followed up twice to make sure I was pleased with the service. 8 months later, everything is still working fine. I'd highly recommend them as the price was comparable to others, the quality was great, and they rectified an issue for free.

We really liked working with Custom Climates to replace our HVAC system and water heater. They were super responsive and went above and beyond to make sure we were happy and the job was done right. We live in an old historic building in Portsmouth, NH which has it's complications. They were not the least bit daunted and came through on every aspect. We have been a customer of Custom Climates since 2014. They have always been wonderful to work with. Quick with their response and very reasonable and competitive pricing. Up until now, we only needed them for the maintenance of our AC unit. The end of the season last year the AC needed to be replaced. I reached out to the team at Custom Climates and they were right on the issue. We received a quote for 2 different types of replacements and when we decided which one we were going to go with we were very excited that they offer financing as well! Once the financing part was completed, the process went very fast. There was a small issue with needing to add an attic ladder due to the existing space being too small, this issue was resolved and the install stayed on track! The team at Custom Climates were very professional, easy to work with and there was always great communication with everyone from their team!! I would highly recommend them for your AC needs, you won't be disappointed!!!

They have serviced my heat and A/C for many years. In my experience they have always been professional, thorough, and responsive to customer needs.

Custom Climates did NOT clean my furnace like they said they did and I had to have my burner serviced only 2 months later. A service repairman ( from a reputable company) showed me how dirty the furnace was and what should have been done. Also the two service men that came from Custom Climates looked to be about 12 and had terrible customer service skills. Clearly no experience.

Company was very responsive came out to take care of my climate master heat pump, did not look to overcharge me respectful of my input and corrected the issues as well as making somendesign change recommendations. Have forwarded the companies contact information to my builder for future reference.

I believe customer service is the most important part of a relationship with any company. From the system design consult at the start, to the wrap up of the install, I would characterize both their approach to their work and their customer service as exemplary. Our system was installed a couple of years ago; it was a significant job and is a combination of ducted and ductless units. There were some challenges with the installation, and Custom Climates was extremely responsive in addressing our needs. I never waited more than 24 hours for a call back or email response, and they were swift in coming out to the house to assess and make the required adjustments. Though it was a difficult nut to crack, this team persisted through a series of corrections, at no charge, to ensure that the system was working properly. This company is committed to installing quality products and to accountability in their installation, all with a smile and very positive attitude.

All is well and we love the cooling and heating that the Mitsubishi units provide. Just as important, we have enjoyed working with Jon, Darryl and the rest of their team. I highly recommend this group.

The development of the system design was very thorough and the logic for the recommended solution was clearly explained. The installation crew worked efficiently and they were very professional and friendly. Once the installation was completed the crew did an excellent job cleaning up.

Sales call was scheduled promptly, Installation was within 10 days and completed very professionally. Crew was clean and detailed and polite. Follow up with foreman immediately after install and a run through of system options and operation was done. We are very impressed and will refer anyone looking for HVAC services.

The crew was amazing totally professional.I had two old split systems replaced. The compressors for the units are four story’s up and not a situation that is at all easy to access. When it became apparent that a boom lift would not work they came back on a Saturday with pipe scaffolding to complete the job. They left everything neat and clean just as it was when they arrived. This was a job that I had a difficult time finding someone willing to do. Custom Climates not only took the job and the challenge they delivered above and beyond.

Everyone was very friendly and professional. Would recommend them to anyone. They explained the system really well and got everything done very efficiently. Also they were perfectly fine with my dogs following them around and trying to get attention.

I would like to comment on an employee of yours named Phil who I believe is in the service department. I have been trying to get someone to help me with a problem that I was having with my boiler, a boiler that not many have much experience with, until I was referred to “Phil”.
After Phil and I made contact with each other, we discussed things and finally realized that I was out of his service area.
Phil took it upon himself to try to assist me over the phone.
It took some discussion, but we were able to diagnose the problem. He assisted me with the removal of the defective part and suggested possible places to procure a replacement. I purchased this item and reinstalled it. The boiler has been running fine ever since.
In summary, I really appreciate everything that your company was able to do for me and a special “Thank you” goes out to Phil for his assistance, which was above and beyond. He is a valuable asset to your company. IMHO

After getting many estimates, we ordered and had installed a new whole house HVAC mini split system from Custom Climate and couldn't be happier with the results. Tom the consultant and Darryl the Ops Mgr were easy to work with. The installers, Derrick and Nick were great also.They were professional, informative, friendly and courteous. We asked for a couple of things to be done a little different than first planned and they had no problem going along with these changes. The company filled out all the paperwork for any rebates we were due, and because they are a diamond installer for Mitsubishi, you get a extended warranty on parts. All in all it was a pleasurable experience. I would recommend Custom Climates to anyone.

I contacted Custom Climates for the installation of a heat pump in my office. I got their info from the web and requested a quote through their website.
I was very pleased with the speed and professionalism displayed throughout the process. Shortly after requesting a quote i was contacted by Tom from Customs Climates, he was able to come to my home and in addition to providing a detailed price quote, he also explained the system's capabilities and benefits.
We decided to go with Custom Climates after obtaining competitive quotes. Their installation schedule was the best and the price in line with other companies. The fact that they are a diamond dealer was also a deciding factor for us.

Very professional in both explaining the benefits and application of the Mitsubishi system during the evaluation/sale process. Installation was performed ahead of schedule and was done by a knowledgeable and friendly staff. The system, although I have just started to use it, has performed as guaranteed. I would highly recommend the product and the company.

For those skimming: Custom Climates is prompt, honest and professional. They completed a 2 day job in 1 without sacrificing quality. You can tell their sales, managers and technicians are passionate and pefectionists. I highly recommend them!

For the detail: Our AC died in the middle of the July 2018 heatwave and we had had our furnace removed as the oil tank was bad- so we needed both a heating and cooling system, and our house had no rooom for vents. I found Custom Climates in my search for Mitsubishi mini-splits. They were able to come out 2 days after my inquiry and quoted me for our uniquely laid out home. A week later the owner himself came out to evaluate and ensure we had the best system layout for our needs. We were excited to know the system will tie into our planned solar project next year, and that the hyper heat can handle the cold climate of NH. The system was a bit pricey, but it was exactly what we are looking for so we went for it.

The work was scheduled a few weeks later (no surprise they were in high demand). The technicians were professional and pleasant, they took great care with the installation and it went off without a hitch! They had originally blocked 2 days for the job, but were so organized and efficient they finished the same day (despite afternoon rain showers). They made sure to take the time to train us on how to use the system and how to maintain it. As we will be renovating next year they also told us if/when we need to work around the heads they can return and "sling" them away from the wall to protect our investment.

Finally, the project manager helped us with the NH Energy rebate paperwork and we have already received the rebate check.

The system has worked flawlessly, no issues what so ever. It kept us cool the rest of the summer and as we move into the cooler months the heads are pumping the heat as promised. We stay conservative, but despite the temps getting down to 28 recently the house has stayed at 65. Our electricity bill has even dropped slightly!

We could not be more happy with our experience with Custom Climates!
