Customer feedback regarding Cenvar Roofing is mixed. While many reviews highlight excellent communication, professionalism, and prompt service, several customers expressed dissatisfaction with the attention to detail in their work and issues with estimating services. The company is praised for efficient scheduling and responsiveness, but some negative experiences indicate a lack of follow-through on estimates, especially for potential repairs. Overall, communication appears to be a consistent positive aspect, although there are serious concerns that impact customer satisfaction.

Cenvar Roofing has excellent communication and promptness, however they have serious lack of attention to detail. They installed a Master Rib metal roof for me. I have a farmhouse style home with two dormers on the front side and no dormers on the backside. On the front side of the house, there are large visible seams on both sides of our left dormer and a visible seam only on the right side of our right dormer. The left side of the right dormer appears normal with no seam visible. The trim over the peak of our left dormer is terrible. It is lumpy and not smooth. See picture. It looks like It was installed with absolutely zero care. On the backside of the house, there was a panel left with a jagged edge that stuck out. The installation was very fast (at the expense of quality and detail). At the end of the installation which took about a day and a half we were asked to do a walk-through and pointed all of these things out. Cenvars response was that they will come back and hammer out the trim over the left dormer but there was nothing they could do about the seams. The response to the jagged and poorly cut panel was to go back and cut it back which has resulted in it being shorter than every other panel with a bended edge. The edges sit noticeably higher than every other panel. So now we have been left with ugly, asymmetrical seams at the very front of the house along with a bent panel on the back side of the house that is shorter than all the other, and the promise that the trim over the dormer will be hammered out smoothly. When I inquired as to why the seams ended up this way, I was given the answer that they don’t know where the seams will fall when they install this type of roof. Maybe they could’ve planned for that ahead of time? I would think that would be the appropriate thing to do. I have been advised there is absolutely nothing to do about it. Wow. If Master Rib looks like this maybe they shouldn’t offer it as a product. And at the very least, they should definitely warn consumers that this is what it’s going to look like. I highly doubt they would put my house on their website gallery of examples of their work.
My overall impression is that Cenvar Roofing uses smoke and mirrors. Their excellent communication and overall promptness gives you an initial confidence that they will do a really good job, But that’s about all there is. They do that to get the sale, but have a very little follow through when it comes to the job itself. Low quality installation by subcontractors. I would avoid them and go with someone else.

Cenvar was a pleasure to work with for our roof replacement. The salesperson (Joe) was thorough and explained all the various options to us. The office was helpful in scheduling our supply delivery and roof replacement. The crew worked efficiently and the job was done on-time. The jobsite lead (Jacob) was also helpful and communicated updates throughout the process. I have no complaints!

Great service and communication, had all my questions answered right away. The whole team were helpful throughout the process. Highly recommended!!

The timeline for a roof replacement typically ranges from one to three days, depending on the size and complexity of the roof, weather conditions, and material type. Larger or more intricate roofs may take a bit longer, but we always aim for efficient, timely completion.
To hire a roofing contractor, start by researching local companies with good reviews and proper licensing. Request quotes from multiple contractors, verify their insurance and certifications, and ask for references. Always ensure you get a written contract that outlines the scope of work, timeline, and payment terms.
Check if a roofing company is legit by verifying their business license, insurance, and local certifications. Look for memberships in professional associations, read customer reviews, and ask for recent project references. A legitimate company will be transparent and provide all documentation upon request.
When choosing a roofing company, consider their experience, customer reviews, warranty offerings, and quality of materials. Make sure they provide clear communication, detailed estimates, and a solid portfolio of completed projects. Local expertise is also a major advantage for understanding regional roofing needs.
Warning signs that your roofing contractor might be ripping you off include vague contracts, pressure to pay large upfront deposits, lack of proper documentation, and unexplained price increases. Always ask for itemized estimates and written guarantees, and avoid contractors who avoid answering your questions directly.
