Chad did a great job looking at our roof and gutters, knowing what needed to be fixed, recommending the appropriate repairs and fixing them. The guys who did the work were professional, courteous and did a good job. They called before they showed up and communicated what they were going to do. No surprises from start to finish.

We hired Carp's Complete Exteriors to repair siding damage after a windstorm, and they were fantastic from start to finish. Elijah, the project manager, was our main point of contact—he was professional, honest, and clearly communicated every step of the process. During the repair, his crew discovered that the original siding had been improperly installed by the home builder. Elijah explained everything clearly and helped us understand why the damage had occurred.

The crew did excellent work—quick, efficient, and detail-oriented. They left the site clean and the repaired siding looks great and feels secure.

The work was done in a timely & efficient manner. Every step was well annunciated & there were no surprises in the residing of our house.

We had some storm damage from last year and found out our existing siding was no longer in production. Chad came out, took a look, and was able to pull together a plan to completely replace all of the siding and make a few architectural changes as well.

He and his crew were phenomenal. Chad and his project manager, Kevin, were in regular contact through out the process and kept us informed of several needed changes and scheduling adjustments due to weather. They worked around the Pella crew we had installing windows and were very flexible. The install crew was polite and extremely careful and respectful of our property and our neighbors. Several neighbors have commented on how great they were. Chad and Kevin were both here before work began, during the work and then after completion to inspect the progress and workmanship. We can't say enough about how smoothly and seamlessly this project went. We are beyond happy and would recommend anyone looking to have this kind of work done have them work up a bid and plan to review. If we need exterior work done again Carp's will be our first call.

Carp's is a great company! Chad Carpenter took the time to walk us through the entire process, what each form meant, and what we would be paying up front. There weren't any surprises in the process because anything that could happen was pretty much covered. They take their reputation seriously, are involved in the project from start to finish, and even when the project had been done for 2 months they were in contact with us to follow up and fix any issues that came out after everything was done. They are 100% professional and deliver on what they sell.

I have been using Carp's Exterior's approximately 18 plus years. And I can say that I've never been unhappy with any work that they have performed for me. I remember Chad as a young man starting out with just a trailer and working alone for the most part. He has grown his business and never become forgetful, unprofessional or lost any quality of his craft. Always follows up of any work performed by him or his crew. Top of the mark all the way.

Carp's did a great job repairing my fascia boards that were damaged in recent storms. The style and color of my existing fascia were obsolete, but Elijah quickly found something that was an almost perfect match. They also installed the new fascia more securely, so I shouldn't have the same issue in the future. We'll done.

I previously had Carp's use James Hardie fiber cement boards replace some of the fascia board on my home. I decided to have them come back and replace the rest of the fascia board on our home and they also replaced two sections of soffit that were rotting. The work was done promptly and very professionally.

Horrible service and communication. Would never recommend or use this company again. Painted over vines on house and paint splatter on brick of house. No communication on arrival of job. We were told both times someone would notify us when work would start. Also, workers on job have language barrier. Don’t be fooled by the comment I have been running a company for years.

Scheduling an appointment to determine the damage to my roof was easy and done in a timely manner. I was shown pictures of all the issues and given recommendations as to what work needed to be done. The team arrived the next day and completed all the tasks to beyond my expectations.

Carps installed windows and siding for me and I couldn’t be happier with the finished result. Chad takes real pride in doing it right and when it’s less than 100%, he’s right there to make sure it’s done to his high standards. Elijah was the project manager for the job and he was easy to work with and took care of the little details along the way When my roof needs replacing Carps will be the first and only company I call.

Carp's was a giant help with my issues with insurance not wanting to cover storm damage. They worked very hard to do a quality repair on my roof at a price that I could afford. Not being able to replace the roof as it should have been, they patched in new shingles (you can't even tell where) and then proceeded to seat all the wind lifted shingles. They truly went above and beyond. I have used them before for a new roof. Excellent work. I would definitely use them again!

Carp's performed repair on a rear balcony deck and replaced my old siding with James Hardie siding in just these past few months.

The entire experience with Carps has been on time, on budget and smooth and well communicated. We had started with a primary Carps competitor and found that experience very difficult with one shifting cost estimate after another.

When the Carps team arrived, however, it was clear they were true experts as the oldest Elite James Hardie firm in Omaha; their estimates were robust and accurate.

They spent significant time with us discussing the estimating and installation process, our particular concerns and reviewing issues with our current siding - so there were no surprises. They noted where there could be open questions on price and exactly when they would be able to answer those questions (when removing existing siding, for example).

They got back to us with detailed estimates in under three days. They came over and walked us through the estimates line by line, and explained the differences in products. They invited us to their showroom during the weekend when they were closed, and spent time showing us pictures and video renditions of what the final product would look like.

I was very impressed with their attention to detail, the knowledge they had in exact installation procedures, what would and wouldn't void the warranty, their use of James Hardie materials from wrap, to tape to caulking, etc... everything was done by the book and consistent with the James Hardie best practices and manufacturer requirements, leaving me very comfortable.

They came as planned each and every day, left the job site packed up and clean every night, and did the work as scheduled without any hitch. They pointed out each little anomaly they found as they removed siding - helping me understand I had a hole or two I didn't know about, helping me understand the level of water damage around some very old windows, helping me see how they installed flashing and other devices to ensure the house was now water tight.

Their teams cleaned up with magnets around my property; the owner came out himself multiple times to review progress, and all the while, Matt, our Project Manager, was in touch daily and was extremely knowledgeable and easy to deal with.

They are gone now, but we had just the best experience with them. We'll be using them again in the Spring to replace some brick exteriors and on any project we do with the exterior again.

This company did everything they promised, as they promised, and made the experience a pleasant, well-informed journey for my partner and me. I rest easy that the job was done right, step by step, and that the siding will last truly a lifetime, with proper maintenance.

I'm told they have a maintenance program for upkeep, cleaning, caulking, etc. I plan to sign up for that.

The experience with Carp's was not as expected, there were many lapses in communication and follow through. Even though the experience hasn't been as expected Chad has personally stepped in to help ensure the job gets finished and is taking ownership through the completion of the remaining job. Customer satisfaction is Chad's top priority and he has taken measures above and beyond to help complete any remaining items that need finished.

If you’d like your project to take months to get started, no communication, having to constantly call to find out if they’re starting on the scheduled date, only to be told day of they are rescheduling, these are your guys.

If you want to have them come back several times to finish one simple thing after they told you it was done, call them.

These people were terrible to work with.
A storm hit our area in May 2024. My boyfriend and I own houses about 2 blocks from each other so we went with the same company for repairs to make things easier.
From the start, they took pieces of siding to send out to see if they matched with any available siding. On my house, I waited and waited for results with Jax telling me he’d check on it. Come to find out a month later that my siding was stuck behind a seat in his truck and was never sent.
Then another couple months went by before the job actually started. When the siding was placed, they left my nest doorbell hanging by the wires and no downspouts. It rained several times over the next several weeks and without downspouts a divot was starting to form where water was just pouring straight down. Jax told me after the first rain that he’d be out “tomorrow” to install temporary downspout arms to at least direct water away from the house. I heard “tomorrow” from this guy more times than I can count. Tomorrow never came. I finally got downspouts installed weeks later. Then my shutters took almost 2 months to get installed. Again, tomorrow, tomorrow tomorrow. Sometimes he just plain ignored my texts. I also had a window screen to have repaired. No one ever touched it, yet it was still on my final bill $71.60 for the screen and $248.16 for labor. For one window screen! They did go ahead and remove that charge. I would just advise anyone working with them to double check all of your documents so that you aren’t paying for anything that didn’t actually get repaired.
The same issues with my boyfriend’s house. They said they would sweep for nails every day. That never happened. We swept them up ourselves. They also said they’d come pick up the dumpster on a Friday when they were done with it so we could have our driveway back. Didn’t happen, it sat there for another 4-5 days. They also left several things unattached from the house after siding was placed… one being the air conditioning unit. Thankfully, they took so long getting to this job that it wasn’t hot enough to need A/C any more.
The roofing crew also had left materials in our neighbors yard all day and it left a huge brown spot in their yard. Chad’s response to this was that his crew would never do that. When showed a photo, he said “well what do they expect me to do about it” umm.. get them a bag of grass seed and an apology???
Chad also found it appropriate to complain to my boyfriend about his ex-wife and made it his business to ask my boyfriend if I’m pressuring him to get married since we live together in his house. Mind you, I work from home and could hear this conversation from my office. My boyfriend said “I don’t know, why don’t you go ask her, she’s right upstairs.”
Before posting this review, I noticed that every negative review someone posts is answered with them stating they have no record of any communication or working with them. I find that pretty telling that this company would resort to that kind of response.
This isn’t a one off…. We have two houses with the same types of issues on both houses.
I would have been completely fine with however long this project took if the communication was better. If you say tomorrow, I expect tomorrow. If you know it’s not going to happen tomorrow, don’t lie to me. The lying was the biggest thing for me. Be honest. That’s not hard or unreasonable.

What they quote you and what they put on the contract are different. Chad (owner) gave me a quote. I asked, "to clarify X,Y and Z will be done for $1400" To which Chad said yes. I stated that we would have it ALL done for the $1400. However Chad, even admitting he made the mistake, didn't put Z in the work order that I signed.
Scheduling was terrible. I was rescheduled 4 times and the first 2 I had to call and ask why the project wasn't done and why no one called me to let me know what was going on. On the 3rd attempt the project manager "Mac" did call and basically said they couldn't get it done that day and would come out the next day.
When I contacted the business, Matt (store manager) said they had other customers and that it was a "teachable moment" for their project manager.
When they did the project they didn't do what I was quoted on and when I spoke with the Chad (owner) who did the estimate, he sent me another email contract for an extra $435 because he made a mistake. When I called to speak with Chad I was talked over accused me of trying to "get over on them" and said I signed for X & Y and hung up. When I attempted to call back, after cooling down, Chad said he wouldn't be doing anything else unless I paid the extra amount and then stated he expected payment in 2 days and threatened to put a lien on my home and hung up.
Chad then sent me the bill the same day expecting payment however the job wasn't completed as their project manager had the wrong color piece to finish the project and had stated it would be done, but took an extra 2 days to complete the project.
How can companies quote you something (that I have proof of the quote) and then write a contract different, even admitting they made the mistake (again email and verbally) and not willing to make any compromise or adjustments but make threats and talk unprofessionally to a customer.

Short version: Don't take a man's word and review your contract doc-u-sign. Not the first time this company has threatened to put liens on people. Check BBB.

Can't say enough good things about our great experience with Carp's Complete Exteriors. Chad came out and evaluated our leaking patio room roof situation, then conferred with his deck experts and recommended a way ahead to remedy our problem. I definitely recommend Carp's for their quick response and professionalism.

I’ve hired Carps Complete Exteriors on two occasions. They did my roof, gutters, and siding a couple of years ago. This year they installed 2 new patio doors for me. I found them to be very knowledgeable, forthcoming, trustworthy, and conscientious. I am very happy with the quality of work they did on both occasions, it was superior. I would definitely hire them again.

Carp’s replaced siding on the front and back of my home and painted the entire house. They did a great job. MacLaine, kept me informed throughout the process and introduced me to the guys who would do the siding and painting.

Carps is horrible. I asked for a bid on replacing my windows and siding. Ben came out and I let him know that I had 2 other companies bidding my project. I told him exactly what I told the other two companies. He walked my house and asked me questions about windows and siding and what I wanted. He then started to say my roof was a bad roof. Keep in mind I personally reroofed my house. He said my roof was bad and he wanted to check it out. I said sure (what could it hurt). He came down to show me pics of so called hail damage and told me I had soft spots. I know for a fact I don't have soft spots. He then said he could get my insurance to cover these repairs. I told him I already had a claim in for insurance and they already inspected my home and cut me a check. He then asked for a copy of the insurance paper work. I gave him a copy and also told him I needed a bid by a certain date. They never made the date. Ben contacted me again asking for the bid amounts of the other two companies. This is very much against all business respect to others. I said no and gave him a range of the bids and another due date. Now he just showed up at my door without calling and again asked me for the other companies bids. I told him that's not gonna happen and that it is wrong to do this. His response was he wanted to bid exactly what the others bid and the materials they used. I told him no and kindly thanked him and told him I didn't want to do business with Carps and to leave my house. He refused to leave my house and continued to fight his fight after asking him to leave at least 5 more times I had to yell for him to leave my home. NOT COOL, VERY VERY RUDE!!!! I will tell everyone and anyone not to ever do business with Carps.

Carp's did our roof, black gutters, and siding at 1919 Southern Light Drive, Lincoln, NE. We have James Hardy Arctic White vertical siding and it looks amazing, lots of compliments. Highly recommend this small business. The wrap underneath the siding has decreased the outside noise level significantly and they replaced all the wood rot underneath the old siding. Solid company that delivered what was promised.

The company is top notch. They performed the work perfectly and on time and completed as promised. The leak is finally gone. I can hardly tell that there was a repair. Excellent! Just had my roof replaced and it was done within a day. They sent 12 workers to ensure it was done fast. Had a couple of shingles flapping in high winds. I texted Chad and a crew was right out and glued them down! It looks great! They even repaired a leak in my garage wall that no one else would even try. I didn't think it would ever be fixed but they did.

We interviewed several companies when a making a decision on replacing our siding. We felt the most comfortable with Carp. They met us in person to walk around the house before creating our bid. Some companies wanted a bigger deposit upfront that went beyond the cost of supplies. We have a 2 story home and they completed the project within 2 weeks with minimal inconvenience to us. Matt Callahan was fabulous and easy to work with. He put us at ease. We are very happy with the quality of the work. Our home looks beautiful and we would recommend Carp.

Carp's did a good job on the repair of my gutter downspout.
They came out immediately and temporarely repaired it until they scheduled the repair. The worker came out and finished the repair job to my satisfaction.

We hired Carp's for an extensive exterior remodel--they were easy to work with, the quality of their work is excellent, and they were done with the project ahead of schedule.

Chad at Carp's came out and gave me an estimate for a siding repair and let me know that the house was due for new paint in order to keep it watertight, etc. The bid was less than I thought it would be and very detailed. They started work on the repair almost immediately and were fast and efficient and cleaned up after the job. They also painted the entire exterior of my home within a week's time and did a great job. They communicated with me about project status, who to expect on what days, etc. The job looks very nice and I'm happy with the results.

Replaced my gutters in lincoln.. They did it in less than a day and excellent clean up job, professional and friendly, at a very cost effective price.

I’ve had the opportunity to work with multiple contractors throughout the city. Some of those contractors do not meet the threshold of what I’m looking for in the houses that I build. The one name that stands out above them all is Chad Carpender. From the time I met Chad Carpender, he is truly a man of his word. Chad stands behind all of his products. Not only stands behind his products, but he has a team of people that work for him and stands behind their work as well. On a personal level he is the only person I would call.

Andy and Carp's did everything you could ask for on the job. Plenty of good clear information about quality, options, cost, etc. Top quality and competitive prices. Highly recommended.

Terrible professionalism. Quoted one price, after work was done and they received insurance check, they slap you with a different, higher amount. Claim they had to rent additional Equipment for the additional bill. Then when you post review, they claim, “oh we never did business with you.” You did, and women should beware- they do discriminate. It’s called predatory pricing. Stay far away!

Terrible professionalism. Quoted one price for a complete roof, then after insurance company paid- jacked up the price for a conveyor rental. Reviewed my exterior cameras for this “conveyor rental” and never was there ever anything. When I refused to pay the additional cost he put a lien on my house. He took total advantage of the fact that I was a young single woman, and was not assertive enough to know my rights as a consumer. Beware and stay away!

I cannot say enough great things about this company, especially Andy. He came out right away, he answered all of our questions and went above and beyond to make sure everything was working correctly. He was honest, kind and took great pride in his job. I will for sure use this company in the future!

I used Carp's to replace my roof after a hail storm in 2015. Their quote was roughly the same as the shady fly-by-night companies that appear after a big hail storm, however, I was comforted knowing that they have been a local business for decades. They were friendly and transparent through the whole process, explaining things as we went since I had no experience having a roof replaced. The huge work crew arrived early on Halloween day and made sure to be finished and cleaned up by 5pm before trick-or-treaters started appearing. The crew manager checked in with me a couple of times during the day, and another employee returned the following week to review the work and confirm that it met my satisfaction. I ended up choosing to upgrade to covered gutters, and was still pleased with the total out-of pocket cost considering the work that was done. I would recommend Carp's to anyone!

Had some damage to a few fiber cement siding pieces and called Carp's because they have always performed well for me. It was a small project but Elijah the project manager treated it like the most important job in the city. Very hands-on, and proactive communication style. I never wondered what was going on with the project. The results were top notch. 5 stars +

After a snowstorm I noticed leaks on my ceiling. I called 3 roofers to check it out and Carp's was the only one to physically inspect the roof and siding. The other 2 made a snap judgement without even looking, saying that it was an ice dam problem. I hired Carp's to fix the chimney area as well as put new siding on the back of the house that was causing a leak in the family room ceiling in the basement. I really appreciate it that they always answer the phone and I don't have to play phone tag.

We are using Carp’s to redo our deck as part of an overall re-siding project. They finished the deck on time and on budget and it far surpasses our expectations.
