Blue Collar Contractors

This review is a bit late but perhaps it’s actually timely because now I can see the result of the repairs.
Starting at beginning, I had a roof leak. I’m on Wintergreen mountain, lots of crazy weather here. Got a roofer to come look, they said I needed a whole new roof for 35k. So it’s time to price out new roofs, and I called Blue Collar Contractors. The nicest man came over here, and he said no I do not need a whole new roof, roof is in very good condition, just had an area where the wind pulled up shingles along an edge. He repaired that, and then another area that looked not great …. New roof along all edges, with great attention to detail and to matching tile and to replacing whatever underneath needed replacing. And did the drywall repair too and painted that. Beautifully done. Can’t see a seam anywhere in the drywall.
Ended up paying only 10% of the whole roof price. Moreso, he was always on time, under budget, always kept me informed all the time, and just super nice. I cannot recommend them enough!

Can't add photos, never got any! Do not know if any/all work was done or not since I was not shown any proof since the contractors walked off when I had my checkbook in hand to pay my balance. They also said that the photos would be sent to me as they walked off in a huff. I do not think a contractor should enter a house foyer when a 3-year-old opens the door without the owner present (and no prior knowledge that they were arriving). The first time they arrived to do the job, they arrived before I arrived home & their office told them they had to leave, since this is their policy (per Bobby!) I am unable to be at my house before 1 pm, and this was told to the foreman, Bobby, at the time the contract was signed, at which time I paid $710 and agreed to pay $790 when the work was complete.

I will let you decide whether or not YOU would want to deal with Blue Collar Comtractors. They started yelling as they left & did not let me or my daughter-in-law (who was in the bathroom when they arrived around 10 AM, NOT AFTER 1 PM) speak to them and Bobby mumbled something about there was no warranty since I didn't pay the entire balance, which they refused.

We must've called and had countless companies to repair our roof and they all said differently, but basically they couldn't/wouldn't do it, and if they did, they would guarantee anything... Bobby came and saw what needed to be done and got it done. What a phenomenal company. They went above and beyond what was expected and really put their clients first. Thank you for your amazing work!
