The office manager Peter was very knowledgeable and helpful and while they could not get to my house during the winter, when they did come to service my propane fireplace, they did a comprehensive job and provided me with a detailed report. I highly recommend them!

Very responsive and did excellent work to repair a crack in the fireplace hearth, replace loose wire screens and a shattered fireplace glass door. The repairs were done quickly across 2 days and the total cost was reasonable for this work.

Black Magic Chimney Sweep conducted a Level II chimney clean and examination at the Jamaica Church in Jamaica, VT, on 2/19/25.It was determined that a liner should be installed and the crown of the chimney would need repairs. The workers were courteous, knowledgeable, and informative, and did an exceptional job. I would recommend this company to anyone who has a chimney that needs attention.

I highly recommend the knowledgeable technicians who installed a Kuma woodburning insert in my fireplace. Every step of the process was communicated to me, from the assessment done by Chris to the installation by the talented technicians Scott and Zac. Scott and Zac did amazing work on the install! The surround kit was missing a screw, and technician Nikkie brought out a replacement the very next day! Our living room is extra cozy now, thanks Black Magic!

Black Magic Chimney has helped us so much since we bought our log cabin in 2020. We started out with the inspection of our chimney, and found that we needed new liners and our chimney rebuilt. Matt and Frankie were great to work with for my annual cleaning and inspection. They were very friendly to myself and my dogs and they explained and gave tips to help us have less creosote buildup in our liners and wood stove.

Just had Rob & Logan complete a parcial tear down and rebuild of our chimney. They also installed a sleeve , cap and re-stucko chimney complete. These guys are very professional as well as doing a great job.

You get what you pay for & while you may find some 3rd rate hic to try & do what they do they truly have no competition, no one else can compare.

I had a Kuma stove insert installed in 2022 and used it throughout the winter. However midway through the season, my oil company called to check on me and the status of my heating system. They were so worried for me because I hadn't been using any oil. I told them I'm using my fireplace insert and only use oil as a back up. Still loving my insert and still loving saving money!!!!

The crew arrived promptly to do nine chimney inspections in our building. Robert and Jake took great care to protect floors fireplace surrounds. They answered all questions and overall service was exceptional. Hopefully they will be able to expand their service to electric fireplaces and installations. If they do, we will definitely give them a call.

Black Magic Chimney Sweeps are the premiere chimney/fireplace professionals in the Shires. They diagnosed severe, potentially dangerous problems with our fireplace and chimney. They then gave us a proposal that set forth everything that needed repairing, explained each component of the work, started work on time, arrived on follow-up days when they said they would, updated us every step of the way, and quoted us a fair price given the stellar quality of the work they did. And, they stand behind their work, meaning they'll come address any other issue we may have and fix them immediately.

Black Magic is not the least expensive outfit in the area, but they're the best. Your fireplace is probably the feature of your home that has the most risk associated with it if something goes wrong. Given that, it doesn't make sense to shortchange yourself with work that is less than excellent. Black Magic provides that excellence.

I had a liner put in my chimney and was impressed with the technology used to evaluate my chimney by pictures to assure me what was needed.
They were very careful and safe to not take chances while on the roof.
Jon is a great problem solver as the new liner could not line up with my pellet stove connection and a creative elbow had to be developed after he did some brain storming.

I have used Black Magic Chimney Sweeps for quite a few years now, and the services included a chimney flue liner, three flue chimney cap, water proofing, replacing a firebrick in furnace and of course one to two flue cleanings per year have all been done professionally and at a reasonable cost.
