I manage a small portfolio of duplexes in Los Angeles, and in late July I walked into one unit to find the bedroom drywall speckled with black spots after a slow roof leak. I called Absolute Maintenance & Consulting that afternoon because I’d used them years ago for water stains. Their project lead arrived first thing the next morning, set up hygrometers along the baseboards, and pulled a moisture map on an iPad so I could see exactly where the mold damage had spread behind the closet wall. The crew contained the area with zip walls, ran negative air scrubbers, and carefully bagged the ruined insulation before treating the studs. Only snag was tracking down street parking for their trailer, but once they got set up they finished demo and treatment in one day. The air smelled clean when they were done and my tenants moved back in without complaints. Would use them again.

Heavy summer storms hit and we got a rain leak around a window that stained the drywall in our living room in Los Angeles. They opened a narrow section, dried the cavity, treated the framing, and documented everything so I could submit photos with the weather claim. The room no longer smells damp after evening humidity and the paint patch blends better than I expected. Solid help when you are dealing with post storm surprises.

The contractor never came to my property, only emailed him and spoke to him on phone, he says he video chats with his workers to look at jobs. I did not like that. They billed me for services not rendered, recycling and hauling that was never done. They left bags on my lawn for at least a week; they removed invoice once I asked.

This review is long overdue. If you have a leak there is no one better than Cameron and Absolute Maintenance and Consulting. Trust me, I've used them several times and they are THE BEST at what they do.

On my latest roof leak, Cam came to the house and spotted the water source in 30 seconds. He also showed me exactly where the water had traveled, where it was settling, where I had water damage, etc. I was skeptical at first because he was just looking at the exterior of the house but sure enough, when his team started the repair and pulled down the plaster and wood he was exactly right.

I appreciated that Cam was always available for my calls and he was incredibly patient with my barrage of questions. He sent an estimate that was very thorough and the total cost ended up almost to the penny of what he originally quoted me. I hate spending money on home repairs and this particular repair was not cheap but Absolute Maintenance and Consulting guarantees their work.

They definitely exceeded all expectations. Multiple issues came up and they rolled with the punches. Brittnee out of the office is so sweet and always willing to help. Cameron provided probably the best customer service I've ever received. Despite all the hiccups he had to deal with, he remained professional and was constantly willing to go above and beyond to make us incredibly happy. He was very thorough with explaining all the work that needed to be done and somethings he had to explain again and again so we understood and he was always happy to do so. Cameron is a true professional and I can tell he really enjoys helping people. Jaime was awesome. He and his crew got stuff done on time. If anything came up, he'd call me if necessary or call Cameron. The company as a whole is a well oiled machine and they all work together so well. You guys really did us a favor and we are very thankful for that.

They did a great job fixing a large area of my condo that had a mold, dry rot problem. They sealed windows that were leaking and identified the places in the roof that were causing the problem. The most amazing part of this work is how they made the place seem new and better when they were done. They got paint to match the original decor. They also kept me appraised of any changes to cost and provided me with lots of photos so I could know what was happening.

I cannot say enough good things about Cam and his absolute maintenance team. We live in a newly built home and our builder didn’t properly seal the house and we had water damage throughout our home. Absolute maintenance has saved us twice. I first found cam through Yelp. Read every review and called his company and spoke with Brittney who was so kind and walked me through the whole process. Cam, the owner of absolute maintenance, called me and addressed all my concerns, was able to identify all the water damage issues through pictures alone. Cams team was incredibly professional and safe. They wore masks 100% of the time. Finished the job in a timely manner and walked me through everything.
We had another leak thanks to our builder doing a shotty job. Unfortunately our leak happened in the midst of my fiancé and I sick with Covid. Cam created a protocol for his employees to operate safely in our home and still be able to fix our leak. Absolute maintenance employees set up decontainment zones, wore hazmats suits, respirators and spent a week fixing our problem. Cam kept us updated daily and the job was done incredibly well. No other company would dare step foot in a home with people with Covid and cam showed up and made it happen. Once the job was done and we recovered from Covid, Cam’s team showed up to industrially clean our home to rid any surfaces of Covid. We are eternally grateful. Cam and absolute maintenance are professional, reasonably priced and responsive. We will never use another company.

I thought I had a mold problem that I only realized on Sunday. I gave Absolute a call that same day and they called back within minutes. They also continued to follow up with suggestions and recommendations. However, the most important factor was that they were extremely kind, concerned with my issues and resolving them, and very professional. I would highly recommend them to anyone! It's very rare to find such an honest business. I filled a contact form because I suspected that my condo had mold. I was contacted by the business owner in a very timely manner and he took the time to talk to me about the situation. He then recommended a different company that he thought would be more suitable for my specific needs (someone to do an inspection rather than a treatment). A very sweet man who is very generous with his time and information. I hope to never have to deal with a mold problem, but if I did, I would only work with this company.

I recently had a mold situation in my apartment and my building went the handyman route instead of hiring a professional company, so I wanted a second opinion from someone I felt like I could trust. I have a toddler and I'm pregnant, so I was kinda freaking out that I was breathing in mold, so they sent us to a hotel. I told them that I didn't want to go back until I had a third party look at the test results and confirm that it was safe to do so.

That's when I went on the hunt for a company I could trust. I reached out to Absolute and immediately Brittany responded, answered some of my questions and told me it would be a 24-48 hour turnaround for their response once I sent them the reports.

We finally got the results and we were cleared to go back. I sent them that night to Brittany, so she could verify for us and Cam responded the next morning with a very thoughtful, educational and sweet email. I asked some follow up questions and he again, immediately responded.

One of the last lines of his email read:

An inspection of my new home revealed some mold in the crawlspace underneath the structure - Absolute Maintenance was able to send someone out to perform an inspection and provide a quote quickly. Their team was very communicative in setting up a start date, and were able to get to work first thing each morning to keep the project moving forward. Once the work was completed, they were helpful in giving me advice on how to keep moisture out of the crawlspace, things to look out for, etc. Would highly recommend them for mold remediation and other associated projects!

Brian, of Absolute Maintenance & Consulting, provided amazing customer service. To summarize, Brian expended a lot of time clearly communicating each stage of the restoration process to remove the damaged window joints, re-seal windows with a UV-resistant elastomeric caulking, and paint up to 10 feet on all sides to properly keep water from penetrating in. I've worked with other window maintenance providers in the past, and for any water-damage related issues, Absolute Maintenance ranks at the top! Customer oriented experts like Brian are extraordinary to work with. I highly recommend.

We have had chronic flooding issues in our basement. Through the years, we have had multiple repairmen come out to look at the issue and supposedly fix it and nothing has worked. This time, I called Absolute Maintenance and set up a consultation. They put me in the calendar for the soonest available appointment, but the next day Cam called because he had finished with another client near me and offered to come early to help. He was incredibly thorough and knowledgeable. It look him less than 10 minutes to identify the real cause of the flooding problem and he sent me an itemized list of recommendations for repair by the next day.

I am so relieved that this is finally going to be fixed properly and I cannot thank Cam and Absolute Maintenance enough. They delivered where many others did not. Don't waste your time or your money! Highly recommend!

**Beware** They will put a band aid over your problems and then charge an arm and a leg. Mold is back within 3 weeks and the owner whom I spoke to personally will not even send someone to assess the situation. Wish I didn’t have to give them any stars.

Absolute Maintenance and Consulting were fantastic! They met me onsite to review the existing conditions for the waterproofing of a basement. Due to issues caused by the previous contractor, who was held liable to fix it, they were not hired. I wish they had been hired from the beginning and I look forward to using them in the future!

Cameron and Jaime took on my job which was a severe case of mold, fungus and rotting walls due to multiple areas that leaked with the rain. They are experts on these types of problems. Jaime assessed the problem quickly and accurately and oversaw the work. He is extremely knowledgeable. It was a large and complex project and I am confident that the work was done correctly and the leaks are permanently fixed. Other companies offered better prices, but I did not trust their work. The only reason I can't give them 5 stars is the price, but for me it was worth the peace of mind.

The service we got was above and beyond! I usually do not write that many reviews, but only do for those deserving the very best. We were having problems with a neighbor upstairs. It got so bad that our ceiling was leaking and it looked like torrential rain was coming down from a leak. The property manager came in and said "nothing was wrong." We decided to get a second opinion.
We are glad that we got that opinion from Absolute Maintenance. They thoroughly inspected the issue. They gave their honest opinion on the issue of mold and health concerns. What's more they were upfront on what was needed, what should be done, and what was necessary. They were very clear and honest! Well, when I am doing business or helping my clients I want to feel comfortable that who I recommend will be of service to us. Another great aspect about Absolute Maintenance is the customer service that has been responsive and polite. In today's time that is something that is becoming more rare and when you do reach a customer service rep at some companies, they don't SERVE the customer. We are extremely pleased with both the quality of the work and the experience working with Absolute.

After a year of repeated headaches working to resolve a leaking shower/tub with other contractors, we called in Absolute. They were swiftly able to diagnose the (actual) source of the leak that had been causing us so much trouble and laid out a range of options for addressing the leak, with a comprehensive discussion of the price-points of each solution as well as the pros and cons of each approach. The pricing was similar to what we had been quoted by other contractors. We never felt pressured during the process; Cameron did an excellent job of simply providing us with the information that we needed in order to make an educated decision on our own.

We ultimately opted to completely re-do the shower & tub, as our previous contractor hadn't installed them correctly. Cameron's crew were swift, courteous, and extremely tidy - they were also really pleasant guys.

His crew typically came in around 10:00am most days, but this was due to their holding meetings/debreifings with Cameron on the days that he wasn't supervising in person. His crew did a great job of communicating with us - each day they would let us know what they had discussed that morning and what the game plan was for the day.

As to Cameron, he clearly has a great deal of professional pride. When the job was completed he spent a fair deal of time discussing proper maintenance/care for the work that was done to ensure that it remains in great condition into the future.

A couple of months have passed since the remodel, and we're enjoying have a beautiful, entirely leak-free tub and shower! We would definitely work with Absolute again and highly recommend them.

Absolute diagnosed and repaired a serious leak problem at my home. Two upper bedroom windows were leaking down inside the walls to the room below. Absolute repairs the cracks in the stucco that were letting water in and sealed everything. They also did mold remediation in the downstairs room affected by the water. The leaks are gone and no more mold!

Cameron at Absolute was very quick to respond to my inquiry for an estimate on mold removal and remediation in our kitchen. He came to our house within hours of my call on a Saturday. He was very knowledgeable about his field and right away we felt comfortable with hiring him.

He was extremely thorough in his work and did a great job at keeping me updated on his progress and any unforeseen issues that arose. The company does its job right, can't knock it against them. They repaired my attic, which had a crapton of mold that I had been breathing in for a half year. Cameron's not as bad as I thought he would be based on the previous review. If I am to focus on their performance and results, I will have to rate them as excellent since they solved my problem. My house is mold free and I breathe to tell that tale. They are thorough, at the least.
