Installation of my battery backup system was quick and efficient. So far, I am very happy with the service provided bt 1Solar

The company was quick to offer me the moon when their part-time salesman showed up at my door, but much of what he promised never occurred when I did the install. The install was efficient, but within a year, one of the panels, and only one, suffered what looks like hail damage. When I asked about a warranty, they referred me to some company in China, where the panels were made, so no go there. I finally agreed to pay for a new panel which they sent to the installer, but it was the wrong size, and the installer said it could not be installed. After waiting for a couple of weeks for the company to negotiate a solution with the installer I finally asked for my money back from One Solar. Now I have to find a new company to replace the broken panel. I would say use these folks at your own risk.

I was very happy that we are saving money from the power being generated.1solar was very professional in installing the panels. 1Solar takes great pride in ensuring each installation is done with professionalism, precision, and above all, safety. They kept me informed on everything that was happening throughout the installation of my solar panels. Had solar installed 4 years ago after receiving lies from the salesman about compensation from Rocky mountain... Such a joke with all of the laws that are in place and definitely not worrh it.
But that's not the worst part! I was notified via email on June 9 that my system wasn't communicating which means I'm not getting credit for what I'm producing. It took me multiple phone calls and texts to get an appt for someone to look at it almost 2 weeks later. The technician also showed up over an hour outside my spot window, but thankfully I was home.
Only bright side was the tech that came out today was amazing, helpful and patient even when he also wasn't receiving the support he needed from the company as well.

1Solar sold me and installed my panels ten years ago. We have been very very happy with their services and the product. Eric Schrader has given us great service. the product has done everything that we were promised. Great product, great service. Highly recommend.

Worst experience ever. Inexperienced install crew. Installed the brackets in the wrong location more than once. Removed, and relocated the brackets without sealing screw holes from the previous locations. The panels spent more time in my garage than on my roof due to failed inspections. We are coming up on a year since we've started this process, and still we are paying Excel bill. No panels. I had to find all of this out during a rain storm when I woke to water pouring out of my hallway light. To top it off. I have to pay them $9,000 to cancel a contract for panels that has never been in use.

Outstanding company. It's easy right now - with all the incentives - to sell solar/battery systems, but after selling, install and quality could totally take a back seat. Not with these guys. Michelle was my scheduling manager and was more than happy to accommodate timing changes and update me promptly on status and changes.

The three techs that came out to install my battery/inverter addition to my solar power system were top tier. Alex, Josh, and Conner showed up promptly, were courteous, professional, and set up a very organized couple fold up tables with all their hardware laid out and in order. After withstanding a slew of dumb questions by the home owner (me lol) they completed the entire job by the afternoon.

It looks amazing, absolute top tier.

Outstanding company that truly stands behind their work. We have been a customer for several years when a wind gust detached a couple of panels. 1Solar (Ezra and her team) dispatched technicians and fixed it promptly and professionally. They exceeded my expectations and I would gladly provide a strong recommendation or referral for any homeowner thinking about solar. Their technicians are always friendly and helpful, taking the time to show me the repairs they made and checking on my satisfaction. Well done!

Leaving a one-star review is being very generous. I have several serious complaints about this company.

First, during our initial meeting with the salesman, we clearly stated that we didn’t want to move forward with the purchase because our roof would need to be replaced soon. He assured us that the panels would be removed and reinstalled at no additional cost when the time came. They later refused to honor that promise.

The original installation was extremely unprofessional and created a major eyesore at the front of our house. We had them come back to fix it, but by then, there was damage that could only be corrected by replacing siding—which, of course, they also refused to cover.

Now that it’s time to replace the roof, I contacted the company again. They quoted me $5,700 just to remove and reinstall the panels for the reroofing. I couldn’t justify paying such an outrageously high price, so I decided to handle the removal myself.

While doing so, I discovered a pile of human waste under the panels—completely disgusting and unprofessional. They could have simply asked to use our restroom, and we would have gladly obliged. But apparently, they found it easier to leave that mess on our roof.

Additionally, I found a three-foot area where the shingles were completely destroyed. We were fortunate the roof hadn’t leaked during this time.

We contacted customer service and sent pictures of everything we found. Their response? They claimed it couldn’t have been their fault because they had “before and after” photos of the completed installation. Obviously, the issues were hidden beneath the panels—something their pictures wouldn’t reveal.

It’s clear that this company refuses to accept any responsibility for their actions. While I understand that time has passed and there may be little recourse now, even a simple apology would have gone a long way.

STAY AWAY FROM THIS COMPANY!!!!!

As a blind person it was hard for me to navigate their processes. The equipment and the employees are 100% awesome. When adding a backup battery to existing solar I was led to believe that they would be able to manage my panels as well. Still not sure about that process. I am hoping someone from the company plans to help me get the credits promised like the previous solar company did when I Got my panels. However I am not sure that that is the case and I’m not sure how to do it. Here’s hoping fingers crossed.

They were great to work with when I got my solar panels in 2017. In the last 8 months, I have tried 5 times to get someone from 1Solar to come out to talk about moving my panels. 3 times I have talked to employees about this and they all said "we'll have someone contact you" and nobody has contacted me. I have used the "contact us" part of their web page and that message apparently goes nowhere. Super disappointing.

1. Follow-up and problem solving help NOT provided despite several requests! Nick Gibbs made the big sale of approx. $30,000 for storage batteries, ZERO FOLLOW-UP! No follow through or further contact. Made the sale and disappeared
2. Dismal coordination with Rocky Mountain Power and ES Solar, neither able to provide satisfaction for total project completiion, just did their small part, reassured that everything was fine--BUT WAS NOT
3. Resulted in continuing, ongoing delays that even after 3 + months storage system etc. NOT working.
4. My next attempt to get assistance NOT to post this poor review apparently failed:. BUT AFTERWARD I PERSISTED AND OVER AvCOUPLE OF DAYS PATIENT ASSISTANCE BY GERARDO MY PROBLEM WAS FINALLY RESOLVED! . (Delayed 5 stars).

The installation of the battery went smoothly! The workers were very polite and careful with the inside of my house.

Gerardo S. has been extremely helpful with our solar system issues. He was able to rectify the inverter problems with SolarEgde and get it back up and running! Thank you, Gerardo.

Craig Walker reached out and text me 1 day. And it was the first person from one solar to do that, and I really appreciate that man. He does a good job and he's very concerned about The customer's needs and and getting things worked out the right way. A good person and very easy to talk to If he don't know it, he'll find out and let you know. You've got a good employee there. It's hard to find good customer service nowadays and Craig is one of the best. Let me tell you.

Worked with these guys for years now. Always fair, always punctual, and there’s always great communication. Been a night and day difference working with 1Solar compared to other companies who always seem to just place you on the back burner.

1solar has been great. They have showed that people are a top priority. I’m new to solar but others have shared they are very pleased 1solar got their power and savings goals accomplished.

Went good all in all. There was some confusion with the company because we had two different representatives reaching out to us. One to my wife and one to me so things got a little crossed. Because my wife and I communicate things went good though. I could see how it could haven't gotten very frustrating had we not been talking or if I had a job where I wasn't home at night. Anyway we got the stuff and it got installed. The worst thing is how long it took. We lost 6-7 weeks of Solar Energy.

Our experience has been anything but ideal. More of a comedy of errors really. Come together in efficiency and competency and maybe well talk.

I am updating my original review because of 2 things. First, 1solars official response was incorrect. They said the only problem we faced was due to the new placard requirement but that was untrue. Our problem was because the wiring to our battery was hooked up backwards for 3 months which made our power supply from only the grid. But, second, the gentleman who sold us the entire system, Connor Childs, saw my first review and has worked tirelessly to ensure that we were reimbursed for all of our power bills for the 3 months we were on the grid plus gave us a card to enjoy a nice meal at our favorite restaurant. Thank you Connor.

If you’re reading this BEWARE! I purchased a system from 1Solar 2021. It included a 10kw battery system ($11K) extra. A year ago the company that provided the battery to 1Solar (Electriq Power) filed for bankruptcy. As a result all of us who have that battery system went dark. No ability to monitor or change any functionality. Although the battery is still functioning (I think), several attempts to get 1Solar to come up with a solution for monitoring has failed. They don’t want to step up to the plate! My biggest concern is 1Solar fulfilling their advertised warranty. What do I do if the battery system fails? The BMS has failed once already; but luckily was repaired while Electriq Power was still in business.

Never came back to finish. Had to hire a knowledgeable company to complete. They couldn’t hook it up. Very deceitful. When selling they bring cookies and act like you’re best friends. They do not follow that up with anything but unkept promises. Their customer service continually promised to finish, to be sorry, to make it right. They did half of the job and never followed up, purely lip service. Beware! It was mostly Trey we dealt with. When he went to jail we talked to about 6 or 7 others because of such turnover.
They will not complete your job but they will cash your check immediately.

Saving me a pretty good amount of money on my electric bill. System is still running strong 6 years later.

1Solar became my one stop shop for all of my home energy needs. I had a few weird things about my set up, but the 1Solar crew kept coming back as many times as it took to get it operating how I needed.

We have had solar for about seven years now and our power bill is under $25 per month. When one of our panels was damaged, 1Solar responded quickly and replaced the damaged panel. They have delivered on everything promised.

We can't really evaluate the systrm yet as we've not used it. Those who worked at installation did a good job, as faras we could tell. They were fast and efficient.

Great experience! I recently had another company review their job for an unrelated service, and this company was surprised by the quality of the product and the service that 1Solar had provided.

Extremely slow to respond to messages. Had to report to BBB in order to get them to complete the install. Since then I've had my roof replaced. Roofer has issues with no responses to the point they asked if they could do find someone else to do the removal and reinstall. Went with that.
Still never hear back from them on the issues I have with the Web site to see which panels are working and which are not. Web site shows no panels, while after install and BBB they did get them to show up for a time.
Haven't checked since removal and reinstall. I never got in the habit since they almost never worked.

This is the most dishonest company I have ever seen. They didn't tell you truth and lie. If you are doing business with this company, make sure you don't pay a dime until you see your electricity bill as what they have told you. Don't trust what their said, everything needs to be written down or record the conversation. This is my experience, I won't see any saving from investing in solar, I end up paying more for the electricity.

Best company! I had solar installed years ago and have not pay the power company in nearly 10 years. Just had batteries installed and love it!! Highly recommend!

Worst freaking company. I did think I was getting a quality product, but they won't stand behind their workmanship. They put solar panels on my roof (28) and I started having a leak years later. Come to find out when they came and inspected it, they didn't seal around the footings properly. So, come years later when my trusses have been eventually soaked up, they started leaking into my house. I went up into the attic and I have at least 10 mold areas where the footings have been leaking. I have called and called trying to get them sealed properly. They won't fix it or even give me a break on cost to have them repair them properly. I won't recommend them to anyone and if anyone asks me about them, I will let them know about their lack of quality work. They have called me and asked me to get a solar battery backup system. I will NEVER use them for that product due to their lack of standing behind their workmanship. Think twice before you use this company.

We had a fantastic experience with Connor, Jackson, and Kash. They were incredibly friendly, patient, and took the time to thoroughly explain everything about the Wattsmart program and our battery. They answered all of our questions in detail, making sure we fully understood how everything worked. Their professionalism and willingness to go the extra mile made the entire process smooth and stress-free. Highly recommend!

1Solar installed our system a little over 8 years ago, but when our inverter suddenly went out last fall i called the manufacturer (which was literally no help!). With no idea where to turn to i went searching for my original paperwork from the install and found 1Solar was not only still in business but willing to help us get this straighten out!.
A team came out and filed a claim with the manufacturer and then replaced the inverter for us. Unfortunately that inverter that was sent was faulty, this time when I called 1Solar Ezra responded to the call. What a blessing he has been through this process of getting this fixed yet again. Ezra has kept contact with me, followed through on what he said he would do and confirmed things were up and working for us. His customer service skills and his pleasant disposition are amazing. Thanks again Ezra for all of your help!

Talk about honesty. My first experience with Connor and Stephan was amazing. I didn’t feel rushed or pushed into anything. Then when the crew came out to install my back up generator. Mark Mike, Cory, and a few others. They were so friendly and knew what they were doing and how to take care of me. If I had any questions they were always happy to answer.

Ezra Armond is the absolute BEST! Initially, Ezra left me a detailed voice mail regarding our solar system and stated he needed to speak with me about it. Very skeptical, I didn’t respond to his voice mail so he sent me an email with the same information and said it was urgent to respond to this email. Since it’s Christmas, I figured it was a scam and ignored that too. Undaunted, Ezra called me and left the same message so I finally called him back.
I had absolutely zero clue our solar system wasn’t functioning at all. The inverter needed to be replaced and Solar Edge was no longer in business and the company was taken over by 1Solar out of Utah. Very carefully we tiptoed through all the messages & texts and I determined this was not a scam. However the $1125.00 price tag was hard to swallow but I guessed the house needed a present too.
Ezra forwarded the documents I would need to sign then pay for the installation & new inverter which I did. Ezra called on Monday apologized saying the new inverter would be installed today, Wednesday the 11th. He said he would keep me posted etc.
Andy arrived and explained what he was going to do and got it done in short work. Ezra now had the serial number for the inverter and he would ensure all the information got transferred over to our system. Andy is from American Fork and our Grandson, Justin Siddall is a Firefighter/Paramedic for American Fork Fire & Rescue. Small world!
Andy was extremely attentive to detail and he was a pleasure to have assist us.
Ezra called shortly after Andy left to ensure the system was again producing energy for us and it is.

We hired 1 solar to do our solar, they installed the solar and it worked fine, but they destroyed our roof, they didn't follow any of the installations standards, they used the wrong sealers, they placed the brackets in incorrectly and now we have a $50,000 repair, when I called customer service they sent us to a call center overseas, and said they will not help in any way and to sue them if we choose. So we will. I will attach photos so you will see Im not just an angry ranting customer, I am reasonable when the companies are, but they choose to duck from obligations and damages. DO NOT USE this company, far from ready when things go wrong, I have filed a complaint with the DOPL in Utah.

We had 1 Solar install our solar system in October of last year. We didn’t get a lot of production through the winter obviously, but man up until June of this year our power bill has been non-existent. This company does such a professional job, everything looks perfect and looks like it belongs on $1 million home. We couldn’t be more happy with the support, the customer service, and response time. If I could recommend one Solar company to do business with it would be this company.

This company is an excellent company to purchase your solar electric system from. Their equipment is great, they state facts when they describe each component of the system and not what they think you want to hear. I appreciated their scheduling and keeping appointments. They kept me up to date by email explaining what stage the process was in and what would happen next. The installers and system programmers were very good, doing very professional work. THEY ARE GREAT

I used One Solar and couldn't be happier. I had panels installed about a decade ago. They made the process astonishingly easy. They installed high quality panels and a micro inverter system There are a lot of steps involved including inspection, determining appropriate number of panels, location of panels, pitch of the roof, load bearing, permits, financing, installation, wireless networking, etc. They made sure I knew the documents I would need for tax time for the rebate. I have never worked with a company I have thought more highly of.

One Solar installed our solar system in 2017. In 2023, we had to replace our roof due to hail damage, and One Solar handled the removal and reinstallation of the panels—fully covered by insurance. In both instances, their crews arrived as scheduled and worked quickly and efficiently.
Our solar system has been running smoothly for eight years and has nearly completely paid for itself through electricity savings. While many solar companies come and go, One Solar has continued to grow and has remained easy to work with. I’m happy to recommend them!
